SKA Pinstripe Red Ale

SKA Pinstripe Red Ale

Maybe you’re not in the mood for a raspberry flavored, low carb, ice, dry maltsicle, and you certainly aren’t in the mood for a Rotgutzen. You are, however, always in the mood for a Pinstripe. Brewed with caramel malts and Liberty hops, the Pinstripe has a slight fruity finish and dance.

3.2 Definite red appearance and smoth taste. It is a nice mix of hops and malts. Fresh look.
3.0 Tap @ Brewery pours a light rusty red with slight head retention. Light earthy caramel malt notes. Overall, clean red ale in need of more malt backbone.
2.8 12 oz. bottle thanks to Kalynn. Appearance: finger white head, copper color, clear, ok lacing. Aroma: hay, caramel, floral, light citrus. Palate: medium body, average carbonation, slight dry finish, sticky texture. Taste: sweet wheat and light caramel, into hay and grassy hops. Overall, hops do not match the beer, balance is off. Not amazing.
2.3 On tap poured a clear deep golden hue w/ a small quickly diminishing head to a ring and some broken lacing. Mild bready aroma. Initial flavor is mild sweet w/ a light bitter aroma of moderate duration. Tastes are rye and sugar. Medium bodied and watery mouthfeel.
2.5 Very mildly flavored, only really tastes like barley. Has no notes. Drinkable, though. No off flavors. Just not really great.
2.0 Caramel, floral, citrus flavors, not bad but if this is a red I’m a stepchild. My local growler station must have given me the wrong tap. Poured golden like a pilsner. What? Confused, disappointed.
2.0 Bottle at Craig’s. Pours golden amber, something off here - dominant green apple taste and smell.
2.4 Bottle to pint glass. Pours clear red with a white head that dissipates quite quickly. Nose is malty sweetness. Taste is malty sweetness with a slight buttering hop at the end. Not bad but nothing to search for. Would drink again.
2.5 Nothing too memorable here. Mild sweetness and malt throughout. Not terribly complex.
3.5 from BrewDog’s online shop - clear copper-amber beer with no foam left; caramel and red fruits in the nose; light earthy; quite velvety palate, moderately carbonated and fairly tasty; a decent bitterness; dry and earthy finish with notes of red fruits
2.7 bottle shared with Norris, clear red pour with white head, malty aroma, taste is bitter malts, decent, but would not do again
3.0 12oz bottle thanks to peterhazelton. Waiting to go to dinner for my anniversary. Reservations at 7:00 and it's now 6:55, and a 45 min drive to the restaurant! WTF!!! Damn women! Pours dark golden color with a quickly dissipating off white head. Grainy aroma of light citrus, and grass. Taste is also grainy, slightly yeasty, rotted citrus, grass, and toasted malt.
2.4 Pours a clear Amber with a clean white head. aroma is citrus slightly bitter decent Pale ale. Medium to light bodied.
3.0 I get the stale (not in a bad way) caramel taste with dried fruit in the malt. Pretty good for the class of beer.
2.8 From a bottle. The pour is a pale amber in color with white minimum head.A thin body with very slight carmel note.
3.1 Nice color, smooth to the lips. Not much aroma to write home about. Flavor profile not that complex, but still solid.
3.2 Bottle at The Great British Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear ruby colour with a generous off white head. Aroma of sweet fruit, dry grain and caramel. Pine flavour with bread and yeasty notes. Malty palate with candy sugar and some hop resin.
2.8 35 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear amber with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma is caramel, straw, and fruit. Flavour is much like the aroma – with a slightly bitter finish.
2.9 355ml bottle. Clear amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, white head. Caramel malty aroma, a touch of orange and orange zest, minimally piney, hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet caramel malty, slighty chalky, metallic, very cautious fruity hints of strawberry.
2.9 pours amber with an eggshell head. aroma is sweet and malty, but hops show their face upon tasting. pretty well balanced, not bad
3.0 Decent, but average amber ale. Pours amber (duh!) with thin white head, and sparse carbonation. Initial aroma of IPA, muted with some malt. Taste is hops, malt, mouth feel is about right.
2.9 I was expecting a lot more from this one. It's a decent beer... if I was in a good mood I'd say "mild", otherwise you could say "boring".
3.2 Bottle at BrewDog Birmingham. Clear amber ale with a ginger and Brussels sprouts aroma. Watery taste with no noticeable bitterness. Smooth and nice feel. Decent but nothing special.
2.8 Not impressed. Aroma seemed okay, but the taste was disappointing. It’s a drinkable beer but blah...blah...blah...I’m over it.
3.1 An extremely clean beer. The nose is a little yeasty and I would prefer a little more coppery caramel to a beer that claims to be a red, but overall it is light and pleasant. I could drink this stuff all night, but only because it?s so palatable. This sweetness-lacking red leaves a little to be desired, but its alcohol is smooth and will having you forgetting about your day within a single bottle.
3.7 Had this at the Durango Applebee's...I know pretty sad. I went to the brewery; is just down the street, but they were closed (it's Sunday). This is a good red but can't say I know this style that well. It a pretty clear amber colored ale served out of a tap. It has a light hop and malt body, light bitterness and overall decent flavor. Nothing special but pretty good.
3.2 Bottles from Coppers and Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy amber coloured with a caramel and red fruity flavour, almond notes and a sweet floral fruity finish. Not bad.
2.8 A slightly sourer tastes than I was expecting, and more orangey than red. Entirely drinakble, with a medium body and lively carbonation. Quite a bitter, long, finish. Overall, average.
2.7 355ml bottle. Poured dark amber, thin white head. Bready malty, molasses in aroma. Flavor has toasty, bready, light fruity. Watery and thin body. Forgettable.
2.6 This beer’s color is orange, not red, and has a very small white head, and the aroma is subtle yet reminiscent of sugar cane and dough yeast. The taste is slightly sour and slightly sweet, but this isn’t prominent on your taste buds at all. In fact, the palate isn’t bold whatsoever because it combines a light body, soft carbonation, thin texture, and an abrupt finish.
