3.3 En helt almindelig øl, lidt tynd ale. Kan bruges som tørstslukker på en varm dag.
1.8 Fra cask på Fortescue Hotel 26 Sep 16. Gylden. Litt lacing. Utrolig svak aroma. Papp. Smaken papp & tørket frukt.
3.3 Pours a slightly hazy gold, with a persistent lacy froth. Nose is floral and old fashioned, with a wee bit of biscuity malt behind. Taste is light (nay, wattery): dryish, a little bitter, slightly honeyed malt. Palate is clean. A very decent traditional ale.
2.6 Butelka 500ml. Zloty klarowny kolor. Piana mala ,biala szybko zanika. Przewazaja nuty owocowe z tropikalnym zacieciem. Lekka cytrusowa podbudowa. Nudne
2.9 Cask at Fox Inn, Fox Corner, Warplesdon. Little aroma, feintly hoppy. A good sold gold with a healthy frothy if not overly lively head. Medium bitter. The hops come through. Smooth, slight carbonation. Certainly mote to it than most of the watery golden ales I’ve had recently.
1.4 500 ml bottle. Very clear, golden colour. Small white head. Aroma of malt, pine, a bit of mango. Soft carbonation. Taste, sweet, floral bitterness and honey. Sweet biscuit aftertaste.
2.8 500ml bottle from Asda. Pours a very pale clear gold with frothy white head. Aroma is malt, citrus and herbs. Taste is similar, slightly bitter, a bit bland.
2.9 Refreshing golden beer with a little bit of body to it, slightly citrusy. Getting hard to tell golden ales apart there are so many of them now, this one is of the standard, fresh and drinkable, not too hoppy, head a bit frothy.
3.1 Cask at The Blue Mugge, Leek. A clear golden colour with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon, mango, some pale malts, honey, slight caramel and subtle floral hops. Taste of pale malts, honey, slight mango, a little lemon and grassy, floral hops. Light bodied and soft carbonation. A bittersweet, honeyed, floral hop bitterness in the finish. A well made, Cornish golden ale. Skinners do beers ranging from bad to great and this is pretty decent.
2.9 Bottle from Tesco. Gold colour with a white head. Hoppy aroma fruity, taste mainly sweet. Tbh. A touch dull, and I’m not keen on the label and art work. Ouch.
3.0 Bottle from tesco, padstow, cornwall. Golden beer with small bubbly head. Aroma of light mandarin and malts. Taste is fruity mandarin hops, malts and citrus. Ok.
3.9 Malty and some citrus in the flavour Aromatic taste with some bitternes in the mouth Long bittersweet aftertaste
3.0 Rusty golden colour with a bit of white head. Light body, on the verge of being watery. Has some malt sweetness and citrus zing. Have had better - this very evening in fact.
3.7 One of my all-time favorite beers......and I’m an American!! The thing I have missed most about the UK is this fine Cornish ale!
3.2 Cask @Black Door. Clear golden color. Medium size, thick white head, stays. Light hops, grains, bit dirty notes in aroma. Grainy, malty, sourish, light grassy hops in taste. Soft to almost no carbonation. Mild bitterness.
3.0 Cask @ Black Door. Golden color, thin white head. Bready, biscuity, floral notes. Sweet, hoppy, crackers. Decent. Dry finish.
3.5 Draught (Black Door, Helsinki) Welcome back, old friend! Looks beautiful, a classic pale ale, such a spongy head that’s nicely persistent. Soft honey malts, gentle twigginess. Sweetish bready malts, freshly toasted brown bread, some gentle bitterness. Finish softly bitter, just a hint. Smack in a bit of EKG in at flame out to crispen this up and it will be a brilliant bitter.
3.9 Sparkling clear, golden colored beer with white head. Resin and hops in aroma. Flower hints. The aroma is really fresh. Light bitterness, medium sweetness. Lightly carbonated, medium body, slick texture. Very drinkable.
3.4 Bottle. Pours light honey in colour with low head. Aroma is pineapple, yeast and bread. Palate is medium to low. Taste is lemonade and malts.
3.3 Bottle from the Bottle Bank. Appearance - amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - pineapple but masked by a boiled vegetable aroma. Taste - fresh apples, light caramel biscuit backbone. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall -decent
3.2 Cask @The Chainlocker & Shipwrights, Falmouth. 10-08-2014. In short: average bgolden ale. Pours clear golden, some whie head, some lacing. Medium body, soft carbonation, oily texture. Moderate bitterness, herbal character.
3.4 Might be a good ale, but was not what I was in the mood for and ended up only finishing about quarter of the pint. I find golden ales hard to taste/rate after having had several more robust bitters.
3.8 A random recent discovery. It’s a very pleasant ale. Hoppy, fruity. ’More-ish’
3.1 Bottle. Appearance is golden, a bit hazy, a white foamy head, leaves plenty of lacing. Aroma- malty, citrus, lemon hints, little bit of toffee. Taste- citrus bitterness, pine hints, vanilla, hop bitterness, finish lasts for a bit. Pretty good.
3.0 Fruity, slightly bitter aroma. Amber colour with poor head. Bitter flavour with hints of lemon, nice smooth finish. Nice and light body with low carbonation.
3.2 Bottle from the brewery shop. Amber/gold pour with a white head. Stewed apple and straw aroma. Sweet fruit flavour- pear, peach. Not bad.
3.3 Bona cervesa, és bastant equilibrada i gustosa. Buena cerveza, es bastante equilibrada y sabrosa.
3.0 Bottle on holiday in Cornwall. The label does my head in. Clear gold colour with a thin white-ish head. Flavour is floral hops, soap, flavour is a little grainy, bread, citrus. It was ok.
3.5 Biscuit malts and the caramel stand out up front, then we move on to the floral hops. Then appears a touch of wheat and the light citrus hops provide a little bit of bitterness.
3.7 Pours a lightly hazy golden yellow with a nice frothy white head. Aroma of sweet pale malts, light caramel, fruity hops and some grass. Flavor is fruity esthers, light caramel, grassy and earth hops with a moderate amount of bitterness and a nice dry finish. Medium light body with low carbonation make all the above flavors stand out and well balance.
