3.0 500 ml bottle from Copenhagen supermarket. Clear amber with white head. Caramel malty and murky bread.
2.1 Fin rund og mild i smagen. Kan svagt fornemme skovens bøg i brygget, men ikke noget røg.
3.6 God velsmagende Brown Ale fra Skovlyst. Tilpas med sødme og bitterhed. Fin duft af humle.
3.4 0,5 l bottle. Pours out in a clear brown. More than one finger beige foamy head. Shy hopy smell with some hay. Taste is malty, some hopy elements in the middle part. Caramell sweetness. Hints of herbs. Also smooth fresh hopy in the aftertaste. Nice.
3.6 Bottle. Color: Clear amber, off white head. Taste: Light roasted malt, medium sweet, caramel. I like the way the hopbitter notes seem to pop up in the back of your mouth. But overall this beer is a bit dull. Not a bad brown ale, but just a bit too flat to be a top beer.
3.7 From bottle on board Fridtjofen 09.04.17. Clear dark chestnut. Small off-white head. Inviting and well-balanced taste of medium dark malt, syrup, brittle and European hops. Excellent drinkability.
2.9 50cl bottle from Fine Food, Kastrup Airport (CPH). Pours clear copper to caramel brown with a modest, but lasting off-white head. Malty and moderate caramelly with some wooden notes, hints of american hops, fruits and sirup. Medium sweet, but rather balanced with mild, but fairly pleasant flavours and a light bitterness. Not really to much to write home about, but an easy drinkable ale with some slightly interesting notes.
3.7 A danish brown ale with low head and with beech and oak extract. Aroma is malt, caramel, prune, light wood. Taste is light bitter sweet.
2.8 Bottle at Grønbech & Churchill. Aroma of roasted malt and bread, light Smoked. Body is medium and texture is juicy. Low carbonation. Taste is sweet roasted malt; burnt caramel and nuts. Light bitter finish, A bit flat in volume.
2.6 50 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear dark amber with an off-white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are nuts, caramel, and roasted malt - with a slightly dry finish.
1.5 (3) Not the worst brown ale, but it does need a bit more volume to get a higher rating.
3.0 Crystal clear, quite dark brown body with a small beige head that leaves some lacing. Moderate aroma of nuts and lightly roasted malt, with caramel and faint hops in the back. Moderate flavour of caramel, nuts and faint fruits, with hints of maple syrup. Moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter taste. Medium body, smooth texture, moderate carbonation. A decent brown ale. [50 cl bottle, enjoyed 1.5 years before BB date, from Meny Frederikshavn, Jylland]
2.9 Denne brown ale har et klart rød-brunligt udseende og et medium hvidt skum. Øllen har en sød aroma og smag, samt noter af karamel og lidt bitterhed. Medium karbonering.
2.8 Brown with a small head, which dissolves quickly. Low to medium carbonation Yeasty aroma. Sweet and little bitterness. A bit thin
2.8 En let drikkelig Brown ale. Let karamel og stor sødme. Næsten ingen humle i smagen. Mangler lidt fylde.
2.7 Bottle. Clear dark copper with a very short white head. There is not a whole lot of aroma, but it does have a few notes of hops and caramel. The taste is rather light, with a bit of caramel, medium bitterness and slight acid. Light body, lively carbonation and a bitter finish. More brown ale and less water would be an improvement to this beer.
2.7 Brewed from fresh beech shoots, thereby giving a distinctive aroma of wood, and a light smoky aroma mixed with the caramel and hops. The taste is dominated by a well-balanced hops, but in the background I detect caramel malt, the light smoky flavor and a pleasant flavor of a green forest on a spring day!
2.7 Bottle from Fakta. Pours amber with an off-white head. Taste is light roasted malt, caramel, Soft carbonation. A bit watery. Sweet malty taste.
3.1 Bottle 50cl. Brown with a small beige head. Aroma like a typical Belgian ale. In the flavour a bit more than usual hoppy taste. Nice. Rather short finish.
2.7 Bottle at home. Pours amber, with a white head. Aroma and taste of malts, caramel, marcipan, wood, syrup.
3.0 Bottle.Clear brown colour with medium head.Aroma of caramel and hops, mild smoked with hint of wood and caramel, medium body and bready finish.
3.2 Bottle. Clear amber colour with medium creamy white mostly lasting head. Malty aroma. Sweet flavor.
3.4 How: Bottle Appearance: cloudy copper, minimal off-white head. Aroma: caramel, grass, wood, floral, mild citrus, dark berries. Palate: Medium body, average carbonation.
3.0 Copenhagen 16/9 2014. Bottle 50 cl from Netto. Pours light brown with pale yellow head which quickly subsides. Aroma of malts and small hints of caramel. Medium carbonated mouthfeel. Good bitter taste which last a while. Not as sweet as expected. Not much complexity but refreshing.
1.9 500ml bottle. FatPhil is jumping around the room and screaming "cheese, cheese, cheese". I try to give him my best drunken smile. Nobody is taking photos (at least I hope so). About that beer I remember only 3 words: lagery, boring and shit. Never again!
2.0 500ml bottle - shared by Marduk - thanks. Ayayay, there’s a bit of baby vomit in that aroma, milky and cheesy. Decent redish colour small off-white head. Simple caramelly dark lager taste. What the fuck are these guys on. None of their beers are anything like the style they claim. Starting to get pissed off by them. Lager + gimmick/quirk. Meh...
2.6 Bottle @ Føtex. Pours dark amber with a white collapsing head. Nuts, grain and paper. Thin with a short bitter finish.
3.5 Dark amber with a creamy head. Nose of caramel and malt. Body is medium, texture sticky, carbon enough. Taste is sweet and bitter.Palate is dominated by caramel, syrup, hops and a light grassy touch. Dry finish. B@Christmas event.
3.3 Nose: Slightly sweet, herbal / hopp, medium roast malt, wood sap, hint of smoke. Taste & palate: Lively carbonation, medium body, sweet attack, some fruitiness and maltiness, more hops / bitterness towards the end of the taste curve.
