Skovlyst India Pale Ale

Skovlyst India Pale Ale

A golden ale with distinct hop character and a refreshing bitternes, added English ale malt as well as German Münchner and caramel malts. Powerful and well hopped.

Alkoholstyrke 6.3%. Humlen længe leve….

2.3 clear golden. is it ale? aroma of resin, sulphur, wet cardboard. Lagerish malty taste with long herbal, annoying bitterness.
2.7 Prezent prosto z Kopenhagi - duńska IPA z marketu. Skovlyst - India Pale Ale ( Bryggeri Skovlyst ) Alk. 6% Złota barwa. Zbożowy i słodowy aromat. Głównie karmel ze szczyptą chmieli o cytrusowych właściwościach. Umiarkowana goryczka. Chmielowy finisz.
Medium karbonering.
2.4 0.5L bottle. Caramel, lemon aroma. Clear brown color with tiny white head, disappears very quickly. Poor men IPA. Dry, raisin, caramel, brandy taste. Grapefruit peel mouthfeel after drinking is only good thing on this beer.
3.3 Clear golden reddish color with airy head. Aroma of citrus, flowers hops. Taste is sweet with a long bitter finish. Nice beer with lots of hops. Like it.
3.1 Fruity aroma. Good fruity taste. OK bitterness which fills the upper part of the mouth a weak moment. Tasty and easy to drink beer. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
2.6 Clear amber, small offwhite froth. Caramel aroma. Similar flavour with slight hints of hops. Light alcoholic bitterness gets a little rough and seems unbalanced. Drinkable but disappointing IPA.
2.6 50 cl bottle @ home. Pours clear amber with a white head that leaves a little lacing. Aroma and flavour are caramel, grains, and hops - with a slightly bitter finish.
2.2 From bottle. Golden color with off white head. Light malty, grainy, and light hoppy aroma, grassy, herbal, some fruity notes. Sweet and light bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation
2.0 Bottle. Clear yellow colour with a very short white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and caramel. It is very thin, however, and not what one would expect from an IPA. The taste is medium dry, medium bitter and lightly sour. Not a very rich taste. Light body, average carbonation, long and bitter finish. A rather uninspired IPA. It is like they made a half-and-half with a good IPA and a boring amber lager.
2.5 19.07.2015. 0,5l Bottle. Netto, Kolding. Pale brown colour with white head. Aromas of fresh herbs and flowers. Dry bitterness. Fresh. Moderate body. Aftertaste is bitter and leaves a dry mouth.
3.0 50cl bottle. Amber colored beer, thin but lasting white head. Mild fruity, herbal hops, some malt. Flavor has sweetness, floral and herbs. Ok bitterness.
3.0 Pours clear golden. Aroma is slightly hoppy, but not too much. Taste has more hops than i expected from the aroma.
3.0 500 ml bottle at Kastrup AirPort. Straight from the bottle. Bitter zest and hay. A little caramel and dark Brad. Dry with medium bitterness and medium carbonation.
2.6 Bottle at home. Poursgolden with a white head. Aroma and taste is malts, some hops, fruits. Slighty bitter and caramel finish.
2.4 Bottle 50cl. Amber with almost no head. Fresh nose of hops. A bit neutral taste for an IPA, almost pilsner but with a bit more hop. Not spectacular. Easy to dink.
2.9 6% ABV, 0,5l bottle. Clear orange beer, small off-white head. Nose is sweet-ish malt, some vague paper, caramel, hops. Flavor is a bit thin, malts and caramel, grainy notes and hops plus bitterness in the finish. Drinkable, but the hop profile is too simplistic and the wateriness can be distracting.
2.9 How: Bottle Appearance: golden with a medium to small white head. Aroma: floral, citrus, caramel. Palate: Light body, lively carbonation.
3.0 Dejlig IPA.
3.1 Copenhagen 25/8 2014. 50 cl bottle. Pours golden yellow with white head. Discrete aroma. Faint notes of fruit - citrus. Bland mouthfeel. Taste a little disappointing for an IPA. The fruity taste does not last for long. But with a long bitter aftertaste. Not bad - but not top of the pops for an India Pale Ale.
1.6 50 cl. bottle at home. What a disappointment! Not at all an IPA in my mouth, but a bland, much too sweet, caramel brown brew of some sort. So bland and clearly not enoughe hops of any kind and I decided not to finish the bottle. Award winning it said on the label.. Wonder what that award might be? I like Skovlyst, the bar in the middle of the woods outside Copenhagen and their kitchen has improved lately, but this brew simply does not qualify as an IPA in my opinion.
1.8 500ml bottle. Clear golden color. Medium size, white head, stays. Malty, caramel, sweetish notes in aroma. Malty, sweet, herbal hops in taste. Feels more lager than ale. Bland and nasty.
2.2 500ml bottle - shared by Marduk - thanks! Bland almost lagery aroma. Water palate, but full enought to be refreshing when cold. Messy herbal vegetal taste, over pale lagery malts. No idea where the idea of IPA came from. Herbal hoppy lagerish thing. Not unpleasant, just simply has no reason to exist.
2.2 Bottle, 6.0% ABV. Pours clear golden with a little short-lived head, no lacing. Not much aroma, some bittering hops and malts. The taste is medium to heavy bitter, medium sweet. The palate is average, somewhat watery. Short bitter finish. Pretty boring IPA, although without real flaw.
