2.4 Weak golden color with epic foamy, white head. Definitely some particles in this one. Unfiltered? Skunky malty, dry, crisp aroma. Tastes of malt, maybe corn.. and spice, or something confused with spice. Not bad for the style.
2.6 Deep gold color, no head with minimal lacing. Clear. Aims of sweet cereal. Flavor is very malty, thick, and kinds of dirty, lots a malt liquor or a European string lager.
2.2 leather, rotten eggs, spruce, cereal, pale, cloudy, white foam, medium sweetness, lightly bitter, medium sourness, light body, creamy, lively, astringent,
2.5 Draft at Shato brew pub. Clear golden blond coloured beer with lots of carbonation and a medium but diminishing white head. Light hoppy and sweet hinted aroma; medium palate; Finish is refreshing sweet with a light bitter hoppy touch. Clean, Nothing more.
2.4 Originally rated September 2005. Date of production is 24/05/05 and ABV is 5.3%. Pours a yellow colour with many tiny particules floating around. The head is full of miniscule bubbles forming a creamy head that has good retention. The lacing is pretty decent and chunky-looking white spots are left on the brew. Not much carbonation and fizzy mouthfeel. The nose is not much, but slight malt and bread. Smooth start and a grassy finish. Mild bitterness in the aftertaste. Not a bad taste and not a bad brew, but nothing exciting or new.
2.1 pours very pale yellow with a tall but collapsing (quickly) white head. grainy, light grass, hint of lemon. hint of sweetness. taste also shows light acidity. average carbonation, light body - watery. as expected.
1.9 Detta var inget att hänga i granen. Tråkig i både doft och smak, men inte värre än många andra lager.
2.6 500mL brown bottle poured a pale golden color with big white head that disappeared very quickly. Mild hoppy aroma with a hint of grain. Taste leaves little to be desired with some malt and an off bitter taste.
1.8 Can. Nothing interesting here. Clear and golden, skunky. Generic and nondescript.
2.2 Canette 500ml.
2.0 pours an ugly milky pee with a bright white head that bubbles like a pop... the nose at first is pretty bad, skunky dank, but it settles down to just a lot of wet grains... taste is really bad, sweet, skunky and dank all at once... not as horrible as the reviews suggest, but pretty bad
1.4 Mild. Unoffensive. It is just not outstanding in any way shape, or form whatsoever.
0.5 The most disgusting beer I ever drink in my life. Don’t export this crap to overseas, if you can’t make a beer. The "jigulevskoe" beer during soviet union regime was much better, then this one. The taste is sour, like "braga", on the bottom of the bottle is plenty some kind of crap floating, and beer is not clear. After I drank 2 bottle of this crap, I drain whole case into the sink. Just wasted my money. Usually I drink German or Czech rep. beer, becouse they are the BEST beer makers. But I would to try ukrainian "beer", and I was WRONG. I will never recommend to anybody to buy this "beer". The only good product ukraine can make, its vodka "Nemirov" LUX. DO NOT MAKE AND DO NOT SALE THIS "beer".
2.1 Pours a pale yellow with a lot of carbonation and a huge white head, aroma of honey, cereals, malt sweetness and some herbs, flavor of toasted bread, cereals, malt and alcohol some chemical off flavor, light bodied.
1.3 From bottle. Mild sweet aroma with a bit of alcohol and corn. Papery hops. Dull golden amber clear with quickly dissipating white head. Watery body with medium carbonation. Dull lager flavor, with a some corn and light malt. Some vanilla and oak weirdness but mainly a stale pale lager. Not much in the way of hops anywhere.
2.8 500mL Can from the LCBO. 5%. My first beer from the Ukraine. Clear golden pour with a decent white head that bubbles away slowly. Aroma is sweet malts and grasses, mild hoppiness. Taste has a delicate malty sweetness that balances with the slight hoppy bitterness in the finish. Very drinkable.
3.3 looks great when poured bought at mcscrooges in knox vegas in a bottle. strange but in a good way this one. (Thick eastern european accent) Howeverrrrrr girrrrrrl, frrrrom same countrrrrrry as this beerrrrrr, that im thinking of ............ Much Nicer,, Ehhh! TOVARSICH!!!!!!!
4.0 Slavutych Brewery--Zaporizhzhyo, Ukraine--Slavutych "Crabymwi" Pyvo Lager Beer--2003 16.9 oz. Bottle. 5.00% ABV. (4.25 / 5.0) Pale Lager. Clear bright yellow color. Foamy white mild lace head. Crisp floral mild Euro Pils hop front. Creamy smooth buttery mild sweet Pils caramel body. Clean mild citrus hop end. Tasty refreshing rich flavor. Sampled 3/25/2004.
3.3 Very light golden color with a white frothy head. Light flavor, body and carbonation with no overpowering flavors. Well suited to drinking with a meal but not enough flavor to stand on its own.
3.1 Pretty good pale lager. Pours clear yellow. Nose and taste is slightly fruity, some pines and spice. Rated 6/27/2000
1.8 Pours pale golden with a white head. Grainy malt and some fruity notes in the nose. Flavor is lightly bready, wet grain, with an odd plastic finish.
2.2 A minimal beer, shared with Len at Chauncey Smith. Pale yellow body, a bit of lace. Below average smell. Overcarnbonated and thinish body. Drinkable, but not much.
2.3 500 ml can from LCBO. Pours a fizzy but clear yellow gold with moderate white head. Light sweet grainy aroma. Flavour is similar, though a little stronger but hardly robust. Light bodied and a little watery. Pretty weak.
2.9 Smells of alcohol and wheat. Fairly good little beer. Very drinkable. Nothing too special.
1.8 can 5.3%. Poured clear pale amber with a chunky white head. Light sweet grassy aroma. Light and malty. Chalky bready flavour. Light metallic bitter aftertaste.
2.4 On tap. Pale yellow with a thin white head. Not much aroma -- some malty sweetness and grassy hops. Flavor offers more of the same, plus some lemon, with almost no hop bitterness. Refreshing but rather forgettable.
2.0 My first Ukrainian beer during 10 days of river cruise along the Dnieper River in the country. Available on tap from Panorama bar on the cruise ship Taras Shevchenko. Pours a slowly fading white head over a clear, straw-golden body. Good amount of lacework on the glass. Weak smell of pale lager malts. Mild flavour of lemony hops lingering through the aftertaste. Lively carbonated. Thirst quenching and refreshing (mid-July 09).
2.0 Bottle, 5.0%. Very pale yellow colour. Small plasticky white head. Citric flavour. Almost like a lemon beer.
1.9 Greeted with a horrible first whiff. Off to a good start! Standard gold Euro lager with some stuff floating around when dumped out produced a large white rocky cap that has left the dirtiest glass that I’ve seen in a long time. After the head settled down it left a crouton sized chunk bobbing around like a little beer iceberg. The aroma is better now - still stinky - not skunky, more pee like. Grainy malts and some sweetness...very standard, aside from the pee, the chemicals and the brutal initial fumes that pretty much killed this beer one second in. Taste is pretty much what one would expect from a beer in this style that they expect nothing from - Grains, obvious alcohol (and only 5.3%!!), some chemicals and a solid bitterness. Some woody flavour as well. Overall the mouthfeel isn’t that bad, but I’ve been left with a crappy chemical taste in my mouth. Thin bodied, highly carbonated and intitial bitter leftovers. Some malty finish - a pretty rough beer overall that is pretty much a waste of your money even if you bought it just to drink a brew from Ukraine or just to get a review in. On principle, I drank the whole thing although I really didn’t want to. The gas is incredible. CRAP BEER.
1.8 a - not much there a - Light and golden f - kind of sweet, but not much p - fizzy o - even though it is 5.3 it tastes like a canadian light.
