A refreshingly smooth, full-bodied lager, with a subtle touch of all natural honey which creates a slightly sweet finish.

4.0 3 weken canada geweest. Dit biertje echt favoriet. Drinkt heel makkelijk zachte smaak geen bittere nasmaak. Ik zou willen dat ze van dit bier hadden in Nederland
2.5 0,473l can, courtesy of Tomas F., Pours clear honey amber liquid, small soapy white head, Aroma: strong fruity, honey, artificial like, apricot, Taste: light to medium sweet, light bitter, light sour, malty, caramel, honey, apricot, alcohol, Palate: meidum body, soft to average carbonation, slick mouthfeel, medium long malty aftertaste, Overall: fine, but too sweet, artificial.
2.7 Woody amber colour. Malty aroma. Slightly sweet malty taste. The honey is barely noticeable.
2.0 Pours orange amber with a fast fading white head. Aroma is weak malt and flavour is watery malt. I didn’t taste any honey in this beer at all, just a watered down lager.
2.5 Draft in Toronto. Unpleasant beer aroma. Sweet. Bit like yuengling but not as good. Too watery.
2.5 Was offered a bottle while visiting someone. A fairly alright adjunct lager - expectedly sweet but the prickliness helped. Overall not good really but not too bad either... Minus point for the clear bottle.
3.0 Can at Drury St. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Aromas of honey, malt. Taste is more of the same, Thin finish.
3.1 Can at drury. Pours clear amber, nose is honey, floral, malty, taste is flat, toffee, harsh.
1.7 Promising colour with a gentle white head. Bready aroma. Sickly sweet. Low carbonation.
2.1 draft: orange amber colour, good off-white head that disappears quickly......a little malty breadiness to the nose..........very thin .....ok carbonation.........not interesting at all............helps wash down food and thats all
2.3 Draft. Red brown body, thick white head. The aroma has a lot of yeast and he taste is watery. Weak effort.
2.8 341ml bottle. Copper brown colour with a minimal white head. Malty aroma with some honey. Some sweetness in the taste with the subtle honey flavour coming through, caramel too. Sweet finish with a slight bitterness. 2015-06-13
2.6 0.341 bottle. Clear, light brown color with a reddish tinge and virtually no head. Aroma of bread, malts, quite heavy on the honey. Taste is sweet, malty; honey, although present, is rather fleeting. Light body, thin texture, and a lively carbonation. Finish is the most prominent part of the beer and actually delivers the promised flavors. Overall quite a standard lager.
2.8 Pours an amber with white head. Aroma is slightly sweet and malty. Taste is similar, smooth and drinkable. Not a bad honey brown.
2.2 this is like taking a Newcastle and watering it down, then adding some fake honey flavored corn syup to re-amp up the flavor. Not horrible, but not good.
2.4 Smells sweet and bready, pours brownish amber with little head. Smooth and light-medium bodied, tastes caramel and bread, sweet finish. Simple and malty.
2.7 Sampled on draft this beer poured a caramel color with a huge fluffy white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was tangy, sweetish and had faint fruit. The flavor was bready, tangy, and had hintso f honey and golden fruits. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok.
3.2 Fresh 6 pack from the brewery store – I’m revisiting this beer after an unexpected pleasant experience pairing it on tap with some pub grub recently. Poured a clear light amber lager in the stein with a decent 2 finger head . Poor cap retention but the surface foam laces the glass well. Aroma is better than most Sleeman products...at least you can smell some bready-toasty grains in this with a light wisp of hay. Nice chew of toasty malt up front, modest body to it, some malt sweetness in the front, some balanced with, some woody-herbal tones from hops... and a ripping dryness shows up at the finish..... mmmm decent.. If there is honey in this I missed it what I got in this profile was a decent take on a Vienna-styled lager (a style which is woefully underrepresented in local craft brewing), they could have had something going here, but the body verges on thin, it is over filtered and more red malts need to be used to bulk up body and bring it in about 6%abv. I am somewhat surprised this beer came so close to being a serviceable Vienna lager then failing to deliver in the final analysis....too bad. We need a good Vienna around here, but this may have to do until something better comes around – I like to mix this with Creemore Kellerbier for a summer “frankenbier” – good sipping on a hot patio deck.
2.7 Can. Pours a clear deep amber brown with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of sweet grains with some honey and a bit if earthy bread. Flavor has much more of an earthy bread note with a growing honey note.
(Rating #6380)
2.1 Crystal clear amber.light brown body with a huge foamy off-white head which dissipated very quickly. Some cereal malt aroma, caramel and some brown sugar qualities. Quite crisp, no hop presence, sweetness on the finish is almost cloying. Some alcohol is present which is crazy compared to the ABV.
2.4 This was poured into a stemmed pilsener. The appearance was a transparent orange to brown color with a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipated and left barely any lacing. The smell had a rich caramel sweet maltiness about it. The taste was moderately sweet with a light soapy flavoring in it. The aftertaste had the soapy arrangement to it with a watery finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a pretty good sessionable quality about it. The carbonation is super light. Overall, I say this was an okay Vienna lager. I’d rather have a regular Sam Adams first.
2.8 Bottle. Clear dark brown with no head. Toasted bread, honey and a slight vegetal note. Crisp mouthfeel. Ok.
2.9 500ml can. Slightly hazy copper-brown body. Steady, foamy white/off-white head. Slow rising carbonation bubbles. Kind of one-dimensional dull sweet aroma, not so impressive. Bland medium dark brown malt, the honey smooths it out even more. Macro lager tones. Pretty boring, but drinkable, honey brown ale.
1.8 Bottle. Light amber pour, thin to non-existent white head. Sweet grainy aroma and taste, although I get some off metallic flavors a fair number of times with this one.
2.4 Draft @ Maple Leaf, Covent Garden WC2. Pours a pale amber color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish.
2.8 Keg at Mother Kelly’s, London. It pours a clean amber color with a medium white head. Aroma is sweet and grainy, with notes of boiled corn, honey, toffee, bread dough. Taste is mostly sweet with notes of toffee, marmalade, bread, biscuit, honey. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, not bad but I’m not a big fan of sweet beers
