A rich, well-balanced pilsner style lager. Its extra body gives it extra smoothness with only a fleeting, pleasant after-bitterness.

Carbonatation moyenne, corps moyen faible.
3.2Lite tasting beer. Not sure how to express the taste. It Is easy to drink... reminds me of a kokane.
2.3Overall, this isn’t a very good beer. But what it does do is compliment just about anything you’re eating and it does so decently. Eating burgers? Chicken? Steak? Fish? It’s going to be good with that. Slightly bready at times, but it has this light bitterness that I find enjoyable come summer. The knock is the inconsistency of the final product; some batches feel almost greasy and this can detract from what is really an okay, drinkable Canadian mass market beer.
1.9Grainy aroma. Gold colour with a small head. Taste is very bland. Not a bad taste, but the finish is not very pleasant. Overall, not a good beer, but better than many mass pale lagers.
2.3Golden yellow pour. Dusty straw nose. Nice medium mouthfeel but not a lot of complexity. Drink it ice cold on a hot day.
2.2Aroma: Some floural hop notes but very subtle, lots of carbonation in aroma. Not much else of noteTaste: very pale sweet malt notes that are slightly overpowered by hops. Finishes with some bitterness but mostly bland Appearance: very pale clwar gold body with a low retained head
2.0Surprenamment fade.
2.1341 ml. bottle from Sleeman selections pack, thanks Kent! Pours a typical pale-lager yellow- instant wild carbonation is evident. Small head that dissipates rather quickly leaves minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma is malty- includes hints of apples and syrup- grainy as well. Taste consists of water, apples, hops, some wheat, yeast, vinegar. Hops remain on the palate as well as a faint lingering apple-malt taste. Carbonation is excessive and annoying. This beer is more bitter and does have more hops than Sleeman original draught, but it feels like they tried so hard making this a pilsener that they just gave up any creativity in terms of malt and grains. Not a true pilsener, but still beats some mass produced pale lagers.
2.2’Classic’ style lager I thought would be bad, and was actually okay. Grainy, bready aroma, which is better than none at all, and light yellow color. Usual light corny taste, went well with wings and cost only 2 and change at the pub, where it went well with wings. Crisp and useful for drinking games.
1.7Maybe a bit on the dry side with a very slight continental lagerish type scent but litte to get excited about here. Light and lacking in the building blocks of beer.
2.4Clear yellow color with no foam left after served. Aroma is weaker barley. Taste is bittersweet with little caramel, little hop. Aftertaste is short, bittersweet. (Montreal 201210)
2.0Clear yellow, foamy white head fades fast. Grainy malty aroma. Skunky bready semi sweet malt taste, some citrus. Average carbonation,,light bodied, low hopped. Poor. LF (Lagerboy Friendly)
2.1Bottle 341ml.
Pours blond with white head. Aroma and taste are of grain, with some hops. Refreshing, drinkable. I’ve seen worst.
2.1341 ml bottle. Pours a clear straw with a short-lasting white head. Smells like grains and skunk. Tastes like grains, corn syrup and a hint of fruit. Skunky finish, shy dry feel. Light bodied, heavily carbonated. Typical commercial, widely available blonde lager...
2.2Moderate grain aroma. Clear golden color with a small white head. Medium Grain blandness throughout.
2.5341ml bottle pours a pale straw color with a finger of white head that leaves virtually no lacing behind. Aroma is light cereal grains and mild citrus hops. Taste is light malty sweetness with a mild hop bitterness. Light in body with moderate carbonation. A little bit watery. Typical macro swill.
2.8341ml bottle. Part of the Sleeman variety pack before it was replaced with Sleeman Light. I can see the logic behind having a light rather than two similar lagers, but I rather enjoyed the sharpness of Silver Creek over the Original and Lights. It might not be to everyone’s taste, but it was my favourite of their lagers.
3.2This beer is a decent version of a bad beer. If it’s 30 degrees out and I actually do want something with very little substance that I can still enjoy I’d choose this because unlike Coors or Bud or miller or Canadian or Kieths or Blue this beer has nothing particularly offensive. I’d never get excited about this beer but I’d gladly take one if offered.
5.0All you freeks that have been critisising this nectar from the gods have obviously been drinking chemically infused liquids for too long, and have eliminated your taste buds!!!!!
This Lager is the best I have ever tasted anywhere in the world.
I regularly travel to canada where i bring back cases of this. it is one of the few drinks that actually tastes as good as it looks.
My only criticism is that i cannot buy it in the UK.
Grow up guys and take your heads out of whichever toilets that you’ve been drinking out of!!!!!!!!!!
1.5pours pale golden with an ok-white head. cereals, corny, some malts, lighly hopped - herbal and slightly citrusy.distinctive sleeman yeast (and light skunkiness because of bottles used) - barnyard, earthy. poor brew.
2.7This is a beer I use to buy a lot for the back deck, summer 2005, when I had people over. Pours a clean light golden colour with a white head that is average and has a bit of lacing. The nose is quite malty, semi-sweet and grainy. Semi-creamy mouthfeel (and was quite refreshing, straight from the ice and water, on those warm summer nights). A nice blend of the malt with a slight hoppy attack in the finish. Nothing spectacular, but a better-than-average lager that will please most none beer drinkers.
1.1Boring little styrofoam white head, boring bright gold body. Aroma of fermented particle board and swamp water. Flavour is all rice adjuncts with an alcoholic and hoppy finish. This stuff tastes like a malt liquor and it’s only 5%! Congratulations Sleeman, you took a very reliable below-average formula and managed to make it worse!
3.1Bouteille 341 ml. 5%. Couleur jaune paille.
2.8Aroma is bland. Has an amber colour with a white head. Light bitter-sweet taste. Seams fizzy, an abrupt finish.
1.9clear and clean with a little head. looks like a pislner!. nice hay notes and biscuit notes in there as well. i’m surprised. it has a little bit of sweet cream of corn thing happening in there which is expected given the brewery. low flavour profile that has no finish. light. i’m done with this ’brew’.
