Alkoholhalt: 9 %

3.9 Bottle, 2012 vintage. Pours an inky black beer with a small quickly disappearing tanned head. Aroma is very sweet, loads of port and Madeira, loads of roast and even some light pepper. Flavour is sweet and toasty, has some burnt characters, slightly vinous. Very soft carbonation and silky mouthfeel. Quite full bodied and very nice.
3.8 Bottle, 33 cl. Clear dark brown body with a small beige head. Sweet aroma with chocolate and roasted malt. Rich sweet taste with heavy bitterness. Very hoppy and roasted flavour. Boozy. Medium body with low carbonation. Long, bitter finish. Good, tasty imperial stout. (2013 edition).

4.7 Rough light brown foam. Lovely aromas of lightly roasted malt with some hints of coffee. The taste is lovely mellow with a little coffee, a good portion of roasted malt, a little fruit and dark bitter chocolate. It’s all nice rounded of with little hops. It’s a really delicious Imperial stout, requires great attention.
3.5 Pitch black color with beige foam. Sweet notes in the nose. Chocolate and sweet (cristal sugar sweetness) with very little coffee in the taste. Even some slight cassis fruit notes in there. Satisfying calm taste with a lot of diabetes potential in the aftertaste.
3.6 Black color with tan head. A bit yeasty, chocolaty (sweeter chocolate), vanilla, quite weird sweetness there. Not a classical ImpStout. More of a Porter?
3.7 Bottle at SinH4?s Goodbye Event. Roasty aroma, but not that well defined and not so sweet. Taste is very sweet though, almost like a glacing. Not much else though.
3.8 Pours dark with low lught brown head Aromas dry of black malts, soy, ash, coffee, hints of dark chocolate Nice taste of coffee, roasted malts, hibts of chocokate, hints of german sausage, muscavado
3.5 Pour out of bottle, thanks Aaron! Dark black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark chocolate, coffee, anise, some Belgian yeast notes into a bit of vanilla, slight earthy notes as well. Taste was big anise and ashy, smoke into a bit of caramel, roast, some dark chocolate, finishing fairly roasted, slightly sweet.
3.3 2014 edition, 330ml bottle. Dark brown body with a huge tan head. Took ages to pour. Aromas of liquorice, soy, roasted malt and coffee. Flavor consists of roasted malt, nuts, coffee and some earthy notes. Feels a bit too young.
3.0 Pours dark brown, light for an imperial. My bottle was undercarbonated as well, almost flat. Not a flattering beer to hold up to the light with the dirty brown and almost no carbonation. Aroma is dark fruits and some chocolate, actually sort of an ESB smell to it with richer dark malts, not surprised to see that it was brewed with british hops. Taste once again seems like a juiced up ESB with chocolate. Can not say i hate it but it´s middle of the road at best. Bottle from SB.
4.1 15.11.2014. Aroma has salty liquorice, milk chocolate. Tastes sweetish liquorice, milk coffee, slight dark chocolate, roasted malts, hops, vanilla. No alco in taste. Rich, smooth. Sometimes this type of milky choco sweetish IS is just great.
3.8 Clear, very dark brown. Tiny offwhite head. Aroma has licorice, malt and alcohol. Malty flavour with licorice, raisins and warming alcohol. Long lasting, controlled bitterness and sligthly boozy finish.
4.0 Flaska.
3.6 Dark but not pitch black - nearly no head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Roasted taste, some coffee and bitter chocolate. Quite good but not exelent.
3.4 From bottle @ HK’s Øl-messe 7th February 2015. Roasted malt aroma, nutty, alcohol. Clear dark brown with small tan head, not lasting. Moderate sweetness, more of the aroma notes. Medium+ body, oily texture, avg. carb., sweet finish.

4.0 (Slottskällans Imperial Stout) Bottle 330 ml from Nisse666, thanks! Vintage 2013, poured into a big snifter, ABV 9% Very dark brown colour on the body, almost totally black, save some red ruby shades from the light when passes through. Tall and thick building head, tan in colour, with good retention. Light lacing on the glass. Lots of sweet and milky chocolate on the aroma, light vanilla and alcohol coming from the back. Taste has also chocolate, more vanilla now, alcohol, even some whiskey surprisingly enough, coffee on the finish and roasted malts. Rich, thick body, soft carbonation, creamy and smooth on the palate. Very good.
3.9 Bottle from Systembolaget, 2013 version. Pours black with a small tan head, that quickly dissipates. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark fruits, licorice, rye bread. Taste is light/medium sweet, slight acidic dark roasted bitterness. Medium/full bodied, soft carbonation.

4.3 Bottle from Magasin du Nord, DK. Pours very dark brown with tiny head. Aroma is red grapes, ripe fruits, yeasty. Palate is very sweet, with a very long fruity finish.
3.3 Wonderful aroma of dark malt. The taste is of raisins, dark chocolate, dark coffee and soy sauce. Bitterness to the aftertaste is okay but not much more. Fills the mouth well and for a long while. I think it feels like something made in this beer only. Vintage 2013. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.
3.1 330ml bottle of 2011 at home. Dark brown color with small beige head. Aroma is light malty, caramel, dried fruits, light chocolate scent and some alcohol. Taste begins light malty sweet it becomes salty and it finishes more bitter. Light to medium body, with oily feel and average carbonation. This doesnt remind me an Imperial Stout, it’s more like something between a brown ale, a light barley wine and a schwarzbier! It tasted more like an Imperial Stout the first time I had it on tap at 3 Sma Rum in 2012.
