Saison är en ölstil som har sitt ursprung i Belgiens fransktalande del, Vallonien. Förr i tiden var det där vanligt att öl bryggdes under de kalla vintermånaderna för att sedan lagras fram till sommaren.

2.4 Rerate: 33 cl, bottled. Pours cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma: Dung, malty, farm. Taste: Medium sweet, some bitterness and slight acidity. Palate: Near medium body, some carbonation. Malty and yeasty aftertaste. Much more pleasant than the one I first tried, yet it¨s not something I’d be buying again. Very yeasty. 10-2 O for the spoiled bottle. ---- 33 cl, bottled. Pours hazy orange with a white head, has some artifact. Aroma: Kind of vinegar, cardboard, malt. Hints of toffee. Taste: Medium- sweet, acidic. Palate: Medium body, light carbonation. What? Not good at all, maybe the bottle was spoiled (?). B’ah, not enjoyable at all. 1-2-1-2-1. 2.6.2015.
3.2 Pours pale gold with white head. Aroma is fruity, floral and yeasty. Flavour is light bitter, light sweet, fruity, spicy and floral.

2.9 Bottle.Pours straw yellow with a white head. Aroma of fruitiness, some yeast, spices and malt. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some wheat, slight banana, some bitterness and cloves. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.1 Bottle. It pours a dense, finger-thick white head over a lightly hazy golden body. Some lacings. The aroma is fruity and quite citrusy, with grapefruit, some black pepper and a touch of banana and bread. It’s quite dry on the palate, medium to full-bodied and with a nice carbonation level. Bready, resiny and citrusy flavor with some pepper and a nice bitterness. Lasting finish. Too much fruity sweetness in this one, but it’s quite flavorful. 150418
3.1 Bottle 330ml @ Geokkjer Pours hazy golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, citrus, yeast and hint of banana. Taste is light to medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long yeasty, citrus finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
3.3 Bottle 330ml. @ RBESG14 - [ Clerkenwell bottle share. ] [ As Slottskällans Saison ]. ABV: 6.5%. Unclear medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, wheat, moderate yeasty, sweet yeast, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, saison yeast, spicy yeast, fruity. Body is medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20140810]
3.3 Draft. A golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruits, yeast, and spices. The flavor is sweet with notes of spices, fruits, yeast, and malt, leading to a spicy finish.
2.8 Pretty decent Saison here with all the correct notes from herbs and citrus. Very drinkable, but also very basic. When it warmed up a bit I actually thought I got some more funk, and also became more interesting.
3.8 Pours cloudy golden with a rather big white head. Fresh, yeasty and relatively complex aroma with some foam bananas, herbs and fruity belgo yeast. Medium bodied palate with good balance, nice freshness and decent finish.
3.2 33cl bottle from Systembolaget, Strömstad. Pours hazy, pale golden with a rather large, white head. Fruity and fairly floral aroma with citrus, some wheaty and yeasty notes and hints of spices. Moderate sweet with a certain acidity and a fairly dry finish. Crisp, fruity and quite tasty.
3.4 Flaska. En trevlig saison med mycket citrus, örter och gräs i såväl smak som doft. Avslutas med en lätt maltsötma och en viss beska.
3.8 Bottle from Ansalon, many thanks: Hazy yellow color, white head. Aroma of citrus, citrus peel, spices, grains and yeast. Flavor is also very fruity with notes of oranges, lemon, citrus peel, coriander. Taste like a witbier. Very tasty brew.
3.5 Bottle shared at the RBESG 2014, grand tasting 10/08/2014 Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell. Light yellow hazed pour with a thin white head. Aroma is weird eggy, lemon, straw and light tart. Flavour is composed of wheaty grains, straw, light tart, lemon. Little hint of sulphur. Palate is refreshing light body, high carbonation.
3.5 On bottle from bolaget Strømstad(down down). Golden color, good foam. Medium aroma intensity; quite floral, som hubba bubba aromas and fruitiness along with good yeast influence. Medium body & complexity. SOme bitterness, well balanced. Enjoyable
2.8 (bottle) hazy golden colour with a frothy white head. aroma of floral hops and powdered sugar, with a hint of kiwi, some straw, pepper and papaya. flavour is again mostly floral hops and powdered sugar, quite sweet, with a hint of caramel, peaches and some alcohol. medium-bodied with average carbonation.
3.2 Bottle @ RBESG 2014 Sunday Tasting. Pours a hazy yellow color with a white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty aroma. Fruity malty spicy yeasty flavor. Has a fruity spicy yeasty finish with hoppy hints.
3.3 Bottle at Bruuveri. Hazy yellow color, white head. Bitter taste with citrus, hops, yeast, grass, earthy notes and peach. Bitter finish with citrus, earthy notes and grass. Very nice saison.
3.7 Dark orange and hazy, medium, crude head. Lactic smell, raspberries, lemon cest. Full body, medium bitterness, refreshing.
3.5 330ml bottle. Pours a hazy deep straw, with a white head. Spicy, phenolic, slightly funky aroma, citrus, cloves, wheat, malt, yeast. Dry, medium body and bitterness, balanced CO2. Spicy, funky taste, faintly phenolic, cloves, citrus peel, orange, earth, hints of ripe apples. Pretty well made, among the better Swedih saisons I have tried. (2014-09-14)
3.9 Bottle thanks to MisoW. Aroma is spicy, hay, citrusy. Hazy yellow colour. Taste is nicely spicy, peppery, hay, barnyard. Really hood. Easily drinkable, refreshing.

3.1 1/VIII/14 - 33cl bottle @ Belgo-Swedish Crazy Summer Trade Tasting - BB: 20/X/14 (2014-861) Thanks to hackobock for sharing the bottle! Little cloudy pale yellow beer, aery off-white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very minty, tic-tac like flavour, some vanilla (is it the Kindl Waldmeister still in my nose?), bit spicy, sweet. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: spicy start, coriander, bitter touch, bit lemony. Aftertaste: minty again, soft bitterness, bit watery, grassy, some coriander.
3.2 Draught. Cloudy pale yellow beer with thin creamy head. Fresh, juicy fruity nose with funky/earthy yeast notes, currants and lemon. Quite thin flavor consist of dry base malts, some sweet fruit juices and slight sourness. Light bitterness and sour Brett in the finish. Light body, lively carbonation. Too thin and straightforward.
3.4 Bottle 33cl. A light hazy golden colour with a small white head. An aroma of bread, lime, coriander and pepper. The taste is medium sweet and medium bitter.
3.5 Bottle shared during the RBESG London 2014 Sunday Tasting. Pours cloudy yellow with a fizzy white head. Nice aroma, lightly funky with lemony accents and biscuity wheat. Medium sweet flavor with dry dough, hay, lemon peel. Medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Finishes sweet and lightly tangy with some further citrusy fruits. Pretty OK.

3.1 10th August 2014 RBESG pt 19. Craft Clerkenwell. Grandish Tasting. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Light fine carbonation. Light tangy fruits. Little yeast. Airy finish, dry. Just another Saison but fine.
3.4 In the right circumstances this is a really nice and fresh wheat-style beer. Not overpowering, but great as a thirst-quencher in the summer.
