2.9 Can. Amber body with offwhite head. Aroma is malty caramel with hints of pines and honey. Taste is also malty with herbs and hints of pines. Aftertaste is nice dry and bitter. Not bad but was expecting much more maybe to old as I couldn’t find a BB date.
3.1 Hazy golden color, average sized white head. Aroma of lemon and maltiness. Taste is basically the same. Like a light lemonade with notes of some other fruits and maybe elderflower. Just a hint of bitterness. Not bad but pretty boring. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
2.9 Hazy golden color, medium sized white head. Aroma of old hops and malty sweetness. Taste is not that sweet. Thin body, soft carbonation. Expected more. //stellabeershop
3.4 Can from booths nice colour and small but lasting head bread and honey hard beer to describe but very drinkable with a nice mouthfeel
2.7 355ml can, pours clear gold with lasting white head. Aroma is malty, toated caramel, wet cardboard and vegetal. Light medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, finish is herbal and sweet. Lacking hop character.
2.4 Can 0.33l. Clear brownish-greenish liquid that looks like old herbal tea with big head. Aroma of lemon and herbs. Taste of herbs and cabbage. Thin and watery. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
2.8 Canned 355ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb, shared with Marko. Darker orange/golden coloured, medium sized creamy off-white head, mild hops and herbs in the nose. Sweet malty, light caramel, fruity hoppy, slight grassy and touch of marzipan with rather sweet finish. Not the freshest version I guess.
2.9 0.355l can from Pivoteka, shared with ogivlado. Golden body, lazy carbonation, medium white head, OK retention. Peachy aroma, relatively fresh, slightly rock candy like, not overwhelming. Simple, light, just a tad soapy, peachy-herbal, simple, peppery bitterness that builds up. Actually drinkable and not entirely bad, but you can get far, faaar better APAs, including local ones, even here.
3.1 Cloudy amber colored, small off white head. Aroma is candy fruity - orange, caramel, some floral hoppiness as well. Taste is medium sweet caramel, fruity candy, tropical fruits, a bit bready near the finish. Low to moderate bitterness. Bittersweet aftertaste and finish. Medium- bodied, moderate carbonation, bit oily.
3.7 Pours a clear orange-copper with a large white head. Aroma of citrus hops, sweet malt, a little fruity and some spices. Taste is nice and hoppy backed with sweet malt and fruit. Medium bodied.
3.2 355ml can at Wholefoods. 5.1%, BB date cannot be deciphered. Golden amber, hazy, sparkling, big foamy off-white head, light lacing. Aroma is lager, metallic, dry flowers, earth. Body is medium, foamy, tingly carbonation. Taste is soft toffee malts, peach, caramel malt, soft bitterness. Decent. Tastes better than it smells anyway.
3.7 from a can in Kazimier Gardens, Liverpool. Amber in colour, good head with real citrus notes. A pleasing Pale Ale.
3.5 12 ounce can. Hazy amber orange color topped by a small bubbly beige head. Toasted malt flavor has some caramel and brown sugar notes. Upfront flavor is more toasted caramel malt and spicy hops. Slightly dry and nutty. Notes of citrus hops are evident in the finish. Nice balance. Decent flavor.
3.6 This pale ale had just enough hops up front, but still allowed the malt shine through. Cloudy orange golden body, small head, sticky lacing. Aroma is mostly malt, hops come in at first taste, mild bitter finish. Really nice
4.8 Can into glass. A nice dry bitter ale with not too much alcohol, good combo.
2.9 12 oz can from Growlers to Go The Pale Ale poured a slightly cloudy amber with an off white head and no lacing. You detect various fruits like tangerine and grapefruit. The ale has medium body with average carbonation. It is a balanced ale with some pine resin at the finish.
3.1 Pours a clear orangish yellow, half inch head. Pine, hoppy citrus notes. Lemon, grapefruit, subtle bitterness. A bit flat on the tongue. Otherwise, an okay pale ale.
3.4 clear amber color; citrusy, piney hop aroma; piney hop flavor on a bready malt base; medium bodied; bitter, piney hop finish
3.5 Poured from 12 oz. can. Pours clear amber-orange with a thin off white head which fades to very little lacing. Aroma is of pine, caramel, bready malts, citrus, spicy hops, and sweet malts. Taste is about the same as the aroma with some stale malts. Has a medium body with semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium finish. Overall, a decently tasty APA that might not be freshest.
3.1 Pours clear amber/orange. Two finger frothy head, nice lacing and retention. Aroma of orange peel and caramel. Taste is a little on the sweet side with only slight bitterness. Light bodied, medium carbonation and soapy mouth feel. Finishes with notes of grass, mango, sugar and herb. Different but average.
3.5 Can at Our Black Heart, Camden on 30 Jul 2012. Poured a clear, dark amber, with a dense off white head. Aroma of pine needles, apricots and caramel. Grapefruit hop flavours, with some burnt sugar and biscuity malt. Finish was dry grain, resin and toffee.
3.3 Can. Pours orange gold. Nose/taste of orange rind, citrus, grass and malt. Lighter medium body.
3.3 12 oz. can. It pours a deep golden orange with an off white head. The aroma has florals and some caramel. The flavor is the same. Caramel and florals. Very standard.
3.3 Aroma malty, flavour sweet malty almost like sweeties . Highly carbonated almost too much. Ok
3.0 On tap at La Cerveteca, Barcelona. Pours amber with off white head. Fruity, malty and hoppy aroma and flavor. Medium bodied. Nothing special.
3.1 Can at home. Pours clear amber, nose is resinous, taste is citrus, caramel.
3.0 (draught) pours a hazy amber colour with a frothy light-beige head. aroma of sugary wort, caramel and some tropical fruit, slightly grassy, with a hint of cookie dough, earth, lots of brown sugar and peaches. flavour is more caramel, mango and redcurrant, slightly metallic, with notes of ovaltine and a light-bitter finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.
3.1 355 ml can from Domus Birrae. Rich sunrise orange, slightly hazy, with a big, fluffly, forever lasting white head. Great lacing. On the nose citrus fruits (mandarine and blood orange), some grass, quite a bit of caramel malts, some little soap and bubblegum presence as well. Kinda the same in the mouth, definitely not the freshest example. Soapy and old hops, strong malty backbone, mild but overall pleasent bitterness. Good fruity aftertaste, but it lacks that sharp and persistent punch. Average carbonation, light to medium body, creamy texture. Pleasent and very easy to drink, but probably not in the best condition.
