3.5Tap at Sly Fox. Filtered yellow-tan. Respectable noble hop character. Doughy, nice lager tones. Pretty solid offering. I could drink a lot of this.
3.7Can 35,5cl / Lata 35,5cl.
@ Beer Culture, New York, NY, USA
A: Light golden / Dorado claro.
T/S: Malt, hops, citrusy, cereal / Malta, lupulo, citrico, cereal.
3.1Spicy. Light body, slight bitter, light malt and touch of light juice. It’s a decent pilsner, easy drinking, but not remarkable.
3.5on tap in Philadelphia; clear, gold color; floral hop aroma; a good, crisp, clean, bitter pilsner; mild citrus hops on a light malt base
2.7Can shared at Max’s place. Traded with trapped. Clear pale gold with a white head. Old grain and yellow grass aroma, old bitterness and some hay in the mouth. Light body, bitter and a little hay finish. Must’ve been good once.
3.3(Can). Had a can while playing golf at Crystal Springs. Pretty decent pills there with some good flavor within the style.
3.4Slightly hazed yellow pour with appropriate head. German malts and hop character comes through immediately. Fair amount of hop bitterness for pilsner, but entirely welcomed. Crisp and refreshing. Very solid representation of the style.
3.5Can from Wholefoods. It pours lightly hazy pale gold with a decent white head. The nose is grassy, spicy, sweet cereal, touch of nougat and white bread. The taste is crisp, bitter, straw, grassy, sweet cereal, creamy aspect and white bread with a dry finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Crisp and tasty. A very good lager. Satisfying.
3.1Can. Pours pale yellow with small frothy white head, faintly doughy aroma, crisp malt taste, abrupt finish with a tangy end. It does remind one of Geman beers, but still not too spectacular.
4.0Can - from sampler pack. Very light - crystal clear. Mostly clean aroma. A good, hoppy pilsner. Good session beer.
3.1Bunch of 12oz pours at Lavanga in DC. Pours a murky straw yellow with some creamy, white head. Nose is fairly standard for a lager, yeast, straw, some dough notes, lemon. Flavor is consistent, enough lemony bite to cut through any sweeter marmalade notes, doughy, biscuit. Clean finish.
3.2Not too bad, but still lacking some of the crispness of the continental varieties. Nice body, et al but falls short
3.6Can from reggiedunlop. Pours pale gold with a foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is bready and spicy. Near med body. Flavor is bready, saaz spicy, and has a touch of grape flavor. Decent pils.
3.4Clear light golden beer in a shaker, poured from can. Earthy hops over that pilsener taste, nicely balanced. Mildly bitter aftertaste.
3.0Can from beer hawk. Slightly Hazy yellow. Aroma of corn and a bit rubbery. Taste is better, good malty backbone and bitter hops finish. Prickly carbonation. Ok, had better pils.
3.2Golden body, with thick, white head. To me, nose was primarily sweet maltiness. Some citrus and pine notes come out in the taste. Nice dry hoppy finish. Light body, very crisp and refreshing.
3.2Can into goblet. Straw yellow w good thick white head. Tastes like a decent pils - some floral hops and malt but nothing overpowering. Notes of citrus and hay. Ok for a hot day
3.5Pours pale yellow with a thin soapy white head. Aroma is of pils malts, bready malts, spicy hops, grassy hops, and some pine. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi watery mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium finish. Overall, a pretty nice pils that is excellent for the style.
3.1Considering this was out of can it looks the part. That said it does taste a bit homebrew, but in a nice way. Dry and refreshing with a bitter finish. Hardly amazing but pretty good as pilsners go.
3.512oz can pours a slightly hazy pale golden with a large white head. Malty aroma with light grassy hops. Taste of sweet and lightly spicy hops with sweet malt and light grain, mildly dry on finish. Nice and drinkable.
4.0Pours a hazy golden color with a nice 1/2" to 3/4" head that clings nicely to the glass. Great hoppy aromas and taste. Very drinkable Pils.
3.5Can from Beer Gonzo swigged with Octo and a cat liver tikka masala at curry house opposite, 19/09/14. Dusted yellow blonde with a low white foam.
Soft leather, lime, shrub, hint of peanut butter. Flowering shrub, chick pea with lime nose. Excellent clean shrub and honey flavour; lemony, oily, slightly leathery with a firm parting zest of bitterness. Pairs well with kolsch and curry.
4.3A regular in my fridge this beer pours out into an imperial pint glass with a 3/4" head and a bright golden color. The aroma is of a nice mix of earthy, floral hops with a nice malt character in the background. The flavor is predicted by the nose with some background malt to balance out the earthy, floral flavors and bitterness. The finish tails off into light dryness that leaves one wanting another sip (even when the beer is gone). Overall this is a good example of a US brewed Pils beer that I’ll continue to enjoy into the future.
3.1Can from MrBarleywine, thanks for the opportunity Mike!
Just a touch of haze in a deep straw colored liquid, topped with a creamy bubbly bone white head that persists forever leaving lots of stickies on the sides of the glass. Crackery bready malt aromas are nicely balanced with a bit of spicy floral hop. Light sulfur rounds out the nose. The flavor is rich bready crackery pilsner malt with spicy hop to counter. Slight metallic flavor towards the end is a bit off putting. I can imagine that this was a better beer when fresher, but I just noticed that this can is best by July 2014. Still no excuse for the metallic flavor. I will rate as is and hopefully get a chance to sample again.
3.5Can. Looks like a pilsner -- bright golden color, rollicking top of white foam. The aroma hints at a quite biscuity brew, but instead I get a hop-forward beer, the tight malt taking a second seat. (#5759, 10/2/2014)
3.5On tap at Red. Yellow with small white head. Yeasty bready aroma. More body and mouthfeel than a typical pilsner. Medium malt flavors with grassy hop finish.
3.4Can to pils glass - Cloudy light yellow color with a small head. I didn’t like it on first sip because it seemed to have a metal taste to it but that went away. Seems fairly hoppy for a pils and yes, it’s dry on the finish.
3.8Very good pilsner. Refreshing but also surprisingly hoppy. Light yellow gold color
3.5Can from trade with Brian. Snifter at home. Pours a clear gold with a one finger white head. Some lacing. Aroma is bread, cereal, whole grains, hay. The taste is solid grains, bread, cheerios, grass and alfalfa. Light body and moderate carb. Slight bitter ending. Very nice pils.
