3.5Has a real nice aroma and a delightful taste. Has a slight sour taste but really is a delight on hot days.
2.5bananas, cloudy amber with a foamy white head, banana and wheat flavour with a little apricot in the finish
3.5Can thanks to bmart. Full of banana and bubble gum with a light grape character. Not much clove which is fine by me. Moderately sweet and not quite as thirst quenching as I would like. Seems a bit thick in mouthfeel. Love the esters but want it a little drier
3.6Pours bright pale orange-yellow with one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of banana, cloves, wheat bread, bubble gum, and citrus. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium-light body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semo dry, mostly sweet, medium finish. Overall, a tasty, refreshing, and drinkable hefe that is a great summer beer.
3.2Lots of banana clove yeast. Cloudy appearance. Some fruit from the hops. Mainly the aggressive yeast and cereal.
3.1Draught @ Albion. Hazy orange with small creamy white head, faint citrus aroma, high carbonation, orange peel taste, abrupt finish. Refreshing.
3.1Can->stem sampler at RW&B. Gold-orange with small white head. Citrus peel, cloves, coriander and banana. Has an offputting bittersweet twang. Meh.
3.4On draft at Isaac Newton’s. Nice wheat malt notes, clove, banana, some hop. Zesty mildly peppery finish. Good representation of the style.
3.8Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a straw yellow tint and a very thin, single centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of yeast, wheat, corn, coriander seed, alcohol, grain and a bit of curacao and even some full oranges. Medium-bodied; Assertive wheat and yeast flavours up front with a definite bavarian and german kick to it, all with a very smooth presence from said malt and a light assertive sweetness that shows some honey, corn and curacao and perhaps even a touch of bubble gum. Aftertaste shows a nice fresh, sweet, and especially easy-drinking profile with no bitterness or unpleasant flavours, just a smooth flavour and profile throughout. Overall, a very nice and easy drinking wheat with a lot of flavour and a depth so typically bavarian that you would think that it came from the South of Germany and not Pennsylvania. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from the Lebanese Taverna Market in Arlington, Virginia on 24-September-2014 - Thanks Kevin, sampled at home in Washington on 11-November-2014.
3.2Pours a light orange with frothy one finger with white head. Aroma is light with hints of clove, orange, and slight banana. Moderate sweetness with a slight bitterness. Crisp, refreshing, and enjoyable
3.5Aroma: wheat, banana, grains and caramel. Appearance: slightly hazy gold, small, frothy, white head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: bitters continue initially, fresh grain, some wheat, then sweet banana starts to dominate, soft carbonation. Overall: very nice Hefeweizen, great banana aroma and palate.
Can from The Bottle Shop, Bermondsey.
3.7Can from Mr Barleywine, thanks for the opportunity!
Slightly hazy light golden color with a smallish quickly dissipating head. Earthy floral spicy with a hint of funk. Light sweet bready light sugary maltiness with light citrus and hints of earthy and funk. I could see some of these in my warm days future if they distributed here.

Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy orange-yellow color with a small one finger fizzy white head. The head fades rather rapidly, leaving very little lace and a somewhat persistent thin white film on the top of the brew.
Smell – The aroma is quite nice. It is rather sweet with lots of orange citrus and banana smells. Along with the citrus is a big smell of a yeasty and wheaty smells as well as some lighter aromas of a little bit of grass and herb.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather wheaty and fruity taste with lots of banana. As the flavor advances a yeast cake taste come to the tongue along with some quite light notes of clove. All the while the banana gets even stronger and is joined by flavors of an orange and lemon nature. Some very light grassy and haylike flavors come to the tongue at the end, leaving a sweet, yeasty and fruity hefe flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the slightly thicker side for a brew of only 5.6% abv with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. Both are quite nice for the yeasty flavors of the brew giving it a very sweet wheat bready feel.
Overall – A rather pleasant Hefeweizen. While nothing out of this world, it is easy drinking and a good blend of sweet, fruit and yeast producing a good drinker overall.
3.7Can from unknown courtesy of Michael K. Pours a slightly hazy orange, not too much off white head. Aroma estery, some citrus, banana character, very fresh and effervescent. Body lively with a nice bite on the back end, bananas and some citrus, grapefruit. Like a an ultra-smooth German Hefe has a baby with a more rabble-rousing American hoppy wheat ale. Different, but ratings are justified.
4.012 oz. can. Pours a hazy gold color with a thick 1"+ head. Aroma of yeast, malt and a touch of banana. Flavor is typical of a Weiss, mainly yeast and sweet malt. Medium body, finish is slightly bitter, clean. Very good, a new favorite!
3.5Can - Dirty yellow with a small head. Has a fruity aroma and taste (apple). Refreshing.
3.6Very interesting weisse beer. Aroma is fruity with strong hints of banana. Flavor has hints of banana as well.
3.1On draft at Reagan National Airport. Who doesn’t want a beer while waiting for a flight?
The beer is hazy yellow, though not quite as hazy as I was expecting for a weissbier. Aromas of wheat, bread, banana, light spice. Sweet snd grainy with banana and clove. Perhaps a bit too sweet. Refreshing and easy drinking. One pint was plenty, whereas the great German hefeweizens keep you coming back for more.
3.5On tap at Jackpot in Gallery Place, Washington, DC.
Cloudy, golden medium amber with an off-white head and very good lacing.
Aroma of cloves, wheat, banana, tangerine, light fruit and yeast.
Taste of tangerine, wheat, banana, yeast, cloves and light fruit.
Medium body and medium carbonation with a pleasantly gentle mouthfeel.
3.112 oz can. Clean golden yellow color, white edge head. Aroma of clove bubblegum and banana. Taste is banana and clove.
3.3Aromas of strong clove and banana, with some dry tangerine. Hazy yellow-orange with a mostly lasting white head. Fruity, flavors reflecting the aromas. Light bodied, creamy smooth, dry yeasty finish.
3.7Tasted from draft. Pours a hazy yellow with white head. Aroma of banana, bubblegum, yeast, grains. Taste is pretty sweet with little to no bitterness. Flavors of banana and yeast. Medium bodied. Great beer on a warm day. Excellent for style.
3.5Not a huge fan of weiss beers but this one is high quLity. Fruity start with a bitter finish. Smells fruity and goes down easy. Had in a can from my beer of the month.
3.3Pours a slightly hazy sunny orange-yellow color, with a big, rocky, foamy head. The aroma is a lovely combination of slightly-caramelized bananas, yeast, and a hint of peppery hops. The flavor similarly has more of the semi-sweet, yeasty, banana-like wheat malts, along with a little bit of earthy hops that doesn’t quite meld with the fruity malt base. The very-fine, soft carbonation allows the medium body to get a little (tiny) bit syrupy, while somehow also being a bit prickly on the tongue at the same time. Overall, an above-average hefeweizen for my taste.
3.9one of the more solid US-made german style hefes - big, full aroma of ripe banana, yeast, spice and honeycomb. flavor is very good yet not quite as sharp as aroma - a bit sweet and rounded but all the components of a good hefe and no cloying sour/lemon wheatyness-just good smooth banana yeast bubble gum etc with some grain and spicyness eclipsed only slightly by some flabby breadiness - overall, absolutely worth a try if you want a weizen
3.6Can. Banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Hazy Deep straw gold with a large off-white head. Clove, banana, wheat malt, and grassy hops flavor. Medium body, average carbonation.
3.3Can at home. Pours murky orange. Little or no head for a weiss beer which is not great. Heavy bread notes, clove, spice. Flavour follows nose. Okay
3.3Pours cloudy golden with good head and lacing. Some bubblegum, some bread yeast. Finishes with light sweetness. On tap at DC Beer Festival.
3.9Can:
Cloudy, yellow-gold...huge, off-white head.
Spicy orange-banana, wheat aroma.
Sweet citrus over wheat malt....
Almost a smokiness to it.....
Nearly tart fruit, subdued by the spices and sweet banana softness.
Really nice.
4.2Can. Lemon, banana, clove, and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with moderate but long lasting head. Sweet-sour lemon/banana, clove, wheat malt and lightly bitter hay flavor. Nice body. Excellent.
