Sly Fox Rte. 113 India Pale Ale

Sly Fox Rte. 113 India Pale Ale

A big, strong IPA for all the hopheads out there, brewed with British Pale and Caramel malts, and hopped with Centennial, Cascade, German Tradition, UK East Kent Goldings & Styrian Goldings. Bold and spicy.

3.5 Can from cocktails Littleborough. Understated for 7% abv tasty and chewy mouthfeel lychee rich and fruity.
3.4 Where: A gift from a neighbor. How: 12 ounce can. Appearance: clear amber orange, yellowish head is a quarter inch thick and pillowy. Aroma: maple and honey over biscuit with some light floral and piney hops. Taste: Grassy-floral hops, toasty malt, caramel, peach, spicy and peppery hop bitterness lingers in a long finish. Palate: Medium-bodied, oily, crisp carbonation. Overall: A nice gift, bit fuller up front, weaker on the back end.
3.4 Can from Booths, Media City. Deep, dark amber with a thin head. Strong, but there’s plenty of tropical fruitiness in both aroma and taste, with a pleasant dry pale ale texture.
3.3 Pours cloudy deep copper with a finger of white head. Aroma of caramel, rye bread, citrus. Taste is light bitter followed by a more butterscotch like sweetness. Weird for an IPA. Body is light and smooth with soft carbonation.
3.7 Can. Bronze with a small head. Some hops but far more maltier than I anticipated. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Not quite what I had expected but still quite pleasant. Well canned.
3.2 Murky copper appearance with a large, cream colored head and very good lacing. Herbal, woody aroma. Caramel malts up against an earthy hop profile as the flavor evolved. Something missing in the aftertaste; maybe not as fresh as it should be. Had this pegged as an ESP at a blind tasting. Had to eat crow for that guess. Would only try this again if I were at the brewery where I knew the conditions were ideal.
4.0 From a can, a pour with a clear gold. Juicey, pine, lime. I like this beer a lot . It seems like a lot of beers in Philadelphia are not high enough Ibun’s and this was a expecting on my short trip.
3.0 Boks 355ml på Larkin’s Hull 24 Nov 15. Delt med Rune. Mørk amber. Kjempehøyt skum. Tett aroma av bær. Smaken søte bær. Litt tørket frukt etter hvert. Tørr avslutning.
3.4 355ml can at Larkin’s Bar in Hull.Frothy, dense beige head leaving fair lacework behind. Clear red-amber body colour. Malt-fruity aromas. Blended taste of sappy oranges and caramel malts. Lingering bittersweet tail. Fine bodied. Likable(shared with Finn, 24,11.2015).
3.1 From one can, the system to open the can it’s horrible, an explosion of scum. Ambar color, small head. Aroma of old hops, sweetness malt and fruit. The taste is very sweet with a final bitterness of EKG. For me is far away from IPA style. The hops are not really good blended.
2.4 Golden honey brown appearance with fair head. Smells pretty Earthy. Taste is quite Earthy as well.. bitter, not much sweetness or malt to speak of. I think some of route 113 may actually be in this beer. Got more abrasive as the night went on.
3.0 12oz can. Best by: 1/13/16 Consumed on: 9/16/15 Slightly sweet and soda poppy. Weak, lingering bitterness on the finish. $9.99/multi sixer at Wegmans Leesburg VA
3.6 Nice dry and clean. Copper pour from can, clear. Touch of malt on the nose, but primarily pine and a bit of lemon. More dry citrus on the palate. I like this one.
3.3 Can from BottleDog London. Clear amber colour. Fruity aroma. Malty caramel taste with a harsh lingering bitter finish
2.8 Can from Oddbins Bottleshop, Blackheath, London - pours a fuzzy amber colour with white head. Medium sweet vague tropical fruity and malty aroma and taste, some caramel, the fruit and hoppy punch seems quite subdued here, more malt heavy, not a fan.
3.5 Can. Golden body with white head. Aroma is fruity and malty with hints of caramel. Taste is fruits with orange and some malts also hints of herbs. Aftertaste is bitter. Nice maybe a little bit to old.
3.0 Hazy/cloudy golden color, average sizes off white head. Fruity aroma but with slightly overripe feel, also malt and caramel. Taste is mainly sweet, fruity and relatively tasty but clearly far from its prime because theres no any real hops character. Light bitterness comes later in aftertaste and thats it. Medium body, soft carbonation. Not that good. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.0 Cloudy golden color, minimal white head. Aroma of old hops and malty sweetness. Taste is surprisingly sweet with some bitterness during the finish. Medium body, flat carbonation, bit creamy. IPA? //stellabeershop
2.9 Can 0.33l. Dirty dark yellow hazy liquid with average head. Medium body, light carbonation. Very sweet at the beginning, bitter after that and bitter/sour in the end. A bit strage, like two separate beers. Honey in aroma. -- rated with beerbasher/winphone
3.0 Can from a trade. Taste is tropical fruit with a light grapefruit and orange character as well as a lingering lightly astringent bitterness. Hope flavor seems muted as I continue to drink and focus seems to be mainly on bitterness. Barely a malt backbone. Would like to see more hop flavor.
2.7 Canned 355ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb as Sly Fox 113 IPA. Unclear amber coloured, medium sized off-white head, vegetables in the nose, wtf??? Sweet malty, light caramel, boiled cauliflower, alcoho and weak touch of hops in the finish. Bad batch, not so fresh or even something else...
2.7 Can. Copper pour. Citrus, melon, tea, caramel, earthy bitterness. Looks like this was out of date unfortunately.
3.0 Burnt orange pour with big white head. Nose is floral, caramel, lemon, soap, earthy. Flavor follows suit. Not what I look for in an IPA.
3.3 Very nice light copper pour with generous lacing. Light syrup mouthfeel, lightly carbonated. Nose is slightly floral with biscuits and caramel. Flavors of caramel and biscuit are sweet in flavor, bitterness slowly rolls through the mouth replacing the strong sweetness.
3.4 Cervesa amb bon aroma a resina, en boca es noten més els tocs acaramelats de les maltes però amb una amargor punxant. Cerveza con buen aroma a resina, en boca se notan los toques acaramelados de las maltas pero con un amargor punzante.
4.1 Can - from sampler pack. Copper color - mostly clear. Mostly clean aroma with some hops. Quite hoppy and bitter. Some malt but mostly hops. Great IPA on the verge of a DIPA.
3.3 Bottle. Pours hazy amber with an average, off-white head. Aroma of flowerish hops with caramel and grapefruit. Sweet flavor that ends dry and nice bitter. Medium bodied, oily texture and soft carb.
3.1 Draught @ Albion. Clear amber with medium sized light beige foamy head, very faintt diughy aroma, bitterish hops taste, low carbonation, abrupt finish. Not a great IPA more like an American pale ale to me.
3.1 Amber color with a foamy ivory colored head out of the can. Light malty nose. There is some sweet citrus rind taste with some orange juice. Caramel sweetness with some earthiness in the finish. Not a very hoppy ipa.
3.2 18.1.2015. Clear copper orange. Aroma of resin, caramel and dried fruits, herbs. Taste has resin caramel bitterness, fruits. Stuffy, not sure if its fresh.
