Snake River Jenny Lake Lager

Snake River Jenny Lake Lager

Jenny Lake Lager is an amber colored Vienna style lager. An authentic German lager yeast strain insures a mild profile. Imported German malts impart a rich, caramel flavor which is balanced with the subtle use of continental hop varieties. The malt forward, slightly sweet profile of Snake River Lager makes it a fine complement to pizzas and red meat.

3.0 On tap at the brewpub in Jackson WY. Copper body with high clarity and a thin but semi-durable white head. Aroma: hiney and baked bread Sweet and malty flavor for style. Smooth medium body.
3.3 12 ounce can from Brennan’s Brookfield. Hazy dark copper, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toffee, grain, mild floral hops. The taste is toffee, caramel, grain, a bit of pine. Medium bodied.
4.6 Pours clear amber with a large beige head. Smells malty, hints of caramel and toffee. Taste is surprisingly bitter with some malt sweetness underneath. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and average mouth-carbonation, Snake River Jenny Lake Lager finishes with a bitter bite.
3.3 12 oz can. Canned on 05/02/16. (Dell Range Liquors) Cheyenne, WY. Clear amber golden color with a mid-size foamy white head. The aroma is... SO German! Like a Dortmunder. Sweetness, bread, mild hops and a lot of malt. The flavor is bready malt, mild metal, mild sweetness and some hops. A truly German brew. Well done. Not just what I’m looking for.
3.5 On tap at the Lake Hotel Restaurant in Yellowstone. Pour a cloudy, light brown color, with a small, beige head. The aroma is mild caramel, with some smooth earthy notes and cinnamon. Sweet and malty, with a bit of bitterness, lending it a smooth, balanced and easy flavor. Light to medium body, crisp, grainy, and clean. This is a solid Vienna lager, and well made. Nothing crazy, just goes down easily and pleasantly.
2.6 tap at SRB in Jackson. This is nothing against Snake River - just never had a lager I was impressed with. Boring beer - boring style
2.8 Reddish amber pour, off white head, smell is light body is slightly watery. Taste is inoffensive, okay.
3.9 Poured from can into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear copper-amber color with a two finger head of white foam. The head fades moderately fast leaving a bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a bready smell mixed with a strong showing of caramel. Along with these smells comes some smells of hay and grass and a hint of harvest fruit. Taste – The taste begins with a nice caramel and lightly toasted bready flavor mixed with a little bit of harvest fruit. While strong upfront, the caramel gets even more potent as the taste moves forward, bringing on more and more sweetness. A bit of an herbal and molasses taste come at the very end, leaving one with a sweet, but smooth bready taste on the tongue. Mouthfeel-The body of the beer is slightly thicker then I was anticipating for a brew of only 4.8 % abv. (although not too thick) with a carbonation level that was rather average. For the mix of bready and sweet, with the light roasted tastes, the feel is fantastic and makes for a flavorful brew. Overall – I rather enjoyed this beer. It was flavorful and easy drinking all with a very modest abv. of 4.8 % .
3.0 Aroma - caramel malt. Appearance - the body is a clean mahogany, with a little nucleation. The head is around 1 1/2" and beige in color, and the head settles quickly. Nice lacing. Taste - caramel malt and very subtle hops. Palate - medium body, smooth texture, carbonation is average, and mellow finish.

3.3 Draft. Clear reddish amber with a lasting white head. Grass and caramel aroma, pretty nice. Nice caramel flavor, lightly sweet, old country hoppy finish. Medium bodied with a nice feel. Good for the style.
3.6 Crusty big bubble head takes a while to die down.. clear orange brew. Clean malts are the lion’s share of the aroma.. toasted more than caramel. Flavor is very fresh... inviting.. very smooth and drinkable.. toasted malts with a low earthy hop presence.. Great body for the style and again.. drinkable for days. Everyone loves Zonker, but the Vienna lager is my favorite Snake River brew.
2.5 ラガー 優しい甘さのラガー、ラガーっぽくなく、アンバーのような
3.2 12 oz. can from The Liquor Store & Wine Loft (Albertson’s) in Jackson. Pours a clear, deep orange color with a big, frothy off-white head that leaves heavy lace and settles into an uneven foam cap. Notes of caramel and toasted malts, tea, orange, earth, and some metallic notes. Light-medium bodied, with moderate to medium carbonation and a smooth mouthfeel. The smell offers more than the flavor but it’s a decent Vienna.
3.2 12oz can, thanks to phaleslu. Can foamed over a bit on opening. Hazy amber orange color. Bigger pake khaki head. Leaves some bubbly forthy ropes and ridges of lace. Caramel malt in the flavor, mild toastiness, mild spiciness. Mostly caramel. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, light bitter. Medium body. Kind of a creamy, full body. Mild slick texture. Lighter smooth carbonation. Alright, and better than expected really.. But kind of one-note. Sweet and caramelly.

3.1 Flavorful Vienna lager. Surprised of the taste that got better as the beer approached room or cellar temp. Better than ice cold
2.5 Deep copper colored brew. Aroma clean and crisp with light malts. Taste is light cereal and mild hops. Earlier Rating: 11/1/2006 Total Score: 2.8 Clear copper amber color. Light white head. 2.1 Meh. Dug the stout, this was just boring across the board. Not an enticing style to me, but I’ve had a few good ones. this was boring at best, with hints of cardboard flavor.
3.4 Huge foamy head on pour, Medium amber body, malt, caramel aroma. taste brings more sweet malt, toffee and caramel. Silky smooth body, mostly malt , abrupt finish. Re-rate 11/6/2015 bumping this up a bit for the style, nice caramel sweet malt body, but still finishes a bit flat
