Sori Coffee Gorilla

Sori Coffee Gorilla

A yawn is a silent scream for more coffee. You face Coffee Gorilla every morning in the mirror before your first cup. Now it’s possible to drink beer and coffee at the same time. This must be the future?

Coffee Gorilla is also a great dessert! Brewed with six different malts and smooth espresso. Pair this beer with everything chocolate.

3.8 Bottle from Beer52. BB Mar 2021; Drank Jun 2020 - Very dark brown / black. Good tan head. Roast coffee, chocolate, roasty malts, espresso, caramel. Earthy roast. Dark fruits. Bittersweet roast coffee and chocolate malty dark fruity. Bitter earthy roast coffee finish. Enjoyed this. Very good. (2020-06)
3.5 coffee, coffee. bit fizzy. no tast at palet. all taste on side of mouth. straightforward not much other taste besides cold coffee. nice though. almost not beer.
3.3 330ml bottle @ home. Pours an opaque dark brown colour with a small beige head. Nose is prominently coffee with medium toasted malt. Flavour is more so a blend of toasted malts, hints of coffee, slight vanilla, and some cocoa. Light bodied, mild carbonation, and a mild sweetness. For a gluten free, it's pretty good however doesn't quite have that rich malt character such as Lost Room.
3.7 Glossy liquorice with a plump tan foam of generous duration. Big juicy bramble and blackcurrant aroma with a dusting of burnt toast and root veg crisps. Thick and fruity with blackcurrant, black cherry, gritty black coffee and soft plum and berry fruit moving into punishing incinerated bitterness
3.1 Long lasting tan head. Chocolate aromas. Hazelnut and chocolate flavour. Very enjoyable
3.9 Black. Poured with a small head. Creamy with chocolate and coffeee background. Label says it is gluten-free but the brewery is to be congratulated on producing a beer without the cardboard like texture usually associated with beers of this sort. very smooth and an excellent all-round beer.
3.7 Aroma of coffee, earth, toasted malt, and plum. Taste is chocolate, coffee, jalapeno, and toasted malt. Quite nice.
3.6 Black beer, off-white head. Rich aroma of malt and coffee. Dark chocolate, coffee, toasty malt in the flavour. A little creaminess in there and possibly a touch of liquourice in the finish. Not a massively complex flavour but it's rich and rather tasty.
4.1 Sampled from a 33cl bottle. Pours a dark coffee brown with a dark tan head that lingers. Tastes of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt. Just the right amount of bitterness and a slight aftertaste. Surprising mouth feel for a gluten free beer. Served to someone who did not know it was gluten free, they would likely not know it. Hopefully, I will be able to find this delightful Porter in the Greater Vancouver area!
2.5 A nice porter
3.6 33cl bottle, via Beer52; BB 24th Jul 2022. Poured into an Augustijn chalice at home on 7th Feb 2020. Almost black body, short lived tanned head. Milk coffee aroma and taste, less and less milk as the beer warms. Interesting beer.
3.8 Bottled 0,33L. Dark brown color, foamy nut head of medium duration. Pleasant roasted and heavy malt aroma, notes of toasted, chocolate, bitter and braced malt, dark malt. Moderate bitter and sweet body, smooth and oily texture, modest carbonation, pleasant mellow palate with notes of roasted, toasted, coffee and dark chocolate.
3.5 Feared the name, but it’s a Christmas cake in a glass, some coffee but spice, plum, brandy and a hit of chocolate, good beer.
2.9 [33cl bottle from Beer 52.] A glossy black pour with a fast fading beige head; aroma of ground coffee and malts; sweet and quite astringent in the mouth, with lots of bitter coffee grounds; then a tart fruity finish with lingering demerara sugar.
3.5 Bottle, 330ml. Deep black colour with a large tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate with coffee notes. Flavour is predominantly chocolate malt with espresso, some hop spice notes and a herbal funk in the finish. Parsley?? A little hop bitterness. A decent brew, not sure about the herbal notes though.
3.4 Lots of coffee. Roast and dry nut. A hint of tang as well. Black pour with ok head. Bitter light tangy finish. Tap at brewery.
4.0 330ml bottle from Green Dragon Ale House, Whitby. 7% Gluten Free. Pours a black-brown colour with reddish tinge, beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of chocolately malt, coffee, roasty. Taste is sweetish, roast malt, molasses, dried fruits, chocolate and coffee, with ashy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry roast bitter finish. Nicely drinkable. Very good for gluten free.
4.2 Dark black in colour, smells of coffee and tastes of roasted coffe and roasted malts.
3.8 Rocky tan head left a collar on an oily black still body. Sweet coffee, malt & demerara aroma. Medium to full bodied, very smooth over the tongue with a tickle on the back & velvety down the throat. Bitter coffee, brown sugar, heavy malt, roasted, slightly smokey & lightly fruited tastes with a tangy finish. Banging!
3.7 Dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and some dried fruit sense. Medium sweet with a good coffee Finnish.
4.1 Bottle. Nice inviting dark pour with mocha head that dissipates pretty quickly. Strong coffee, toast, and chocolate nose. Crisp mouthfeel. Some sugar, coffee aftertaste, bit sticky coating. Was quite surprised this is 7% alcohol - hides it well. Nicely done.
Totalmente recomendable.
3.4 Tap @ Sori. Dark with pitch black color and light tan head. Coconut, cream, coffee. Dark, char, chocolate, sugar. Sweet, slightly watery, long chocolate finish.
3.8 really flavorful beer with lots of great roast taste. The overall impression is that it seems like a bigger beer than 7%, rich and malty, but not boozy. online saveur bier
3.9 330 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with light head. Aromas of nutty coffee, oily vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Flavors of sweet roasted malts, soy, dark sugar, nuts, and a bit of spice. Wonderful and tasty for a gluten free. Extra point...
3.5 Tap at Sori Helsinki. Pitch black with lace. Coffee, chocolate, a touch of soy sauce in the nose. Sweet chocolate, grainy coffee, umami. Body is too thin.
