2.5 Tap@Flying Saucer, Fort Worth, USA. Light aroma of slightly yeasty notes of white bread and honey. Orange/yellow color with small creamy white head. Hazy liquid. Medium yeasty taste of bit sweet notes of bread and honey. Unbalanced with narrow taste spectrum and medium aftertaste. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall artificial and hastily made.
2.9 Citrusy and yeasty aroma. Swore this was a lager. Pours really clear, lemon colored, with a bit of white head. Crisp. Citrusy. A bit sweet.
3.5 Rated based on notes taken 31 Dec 2012 -- Great blonde, yum (that’s what he said).
3.5 12oz can (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 42°. Color is a hazy golden with good carbonation and a tall frothy head. Aroma is sweet and makes me think of creamed corn. It has a medium body with a fizzy mouth feel. Flavor is sweet and like the aroma it comes across with like creamed corn only with powdered malt added. Then some yeast shows giving a bread taste and a hint of hops. After taste is dry and yeast turns a little Belgian. Overall this is an interesting brew and although it comes across a little sweet at first, its actually a complex brew and the Belgian note makes it quite tasty.
3.3 Can pour clear light gold with minimal white head. Nose crystal malt, some bright hop. Taste fairly clean, crystal malt, some crisp. Sweeter finish.
2.9 Clear yellow, white lacing foam head. Barley aroma and regular ale taste. Just a normal beer. (Austin 201505)
2.7 This beer was a good ale it poured light and had a good taste for coming in a can. It's a good summer beer to drink multiples of not worth a high price though.
2.0 Gold pour, minimal head. Hay and grain aroma, very mild hay taste. Its just ok.........
3.5 Grainy nose lightly sweet earthy hop. Golden pour thin white head and lace. Flavors of grain bread and light earthy hop. Easy drinking clean grain Flavors. Nice beer.
2.8 Poured from a can into a shaker: Pours a hazy golden straw color, with a pale, thin head that dissipates quickly. There is some lacing present, but it quickly disappears too. The nose is grassy, with lemon and honey notes. The mouth feel is acceptable, what you'd expect from this type of ale; it's not a thick stout, but it's not a thin lager either. The taste disappoints; there are grassy and sour doughy notes present, and also a bit of lemon, but this is balanced by an alcoholic bitterness unacceptable in a beer with an ABV this low. The finish is bitter, medicinal. This could be a decent "set it and forget it" beer, but the bitter alcoholic kick removes that possibility.
3.2 Can. Extra from trade. Slightly cloudy straw yellow. Nose of lightly floral hops, some wheat. Light bready malts, pretty clean finish. Decent blonde if that’s your thing.
3.5 Bready without much hops, but not overly sweet. Decent. Nothing special, but a nice beer.
2.7 Hd this twice, at the Great Arkansas Beer Festival and at Flying Saucer San An. Both times it was light, easy to drink, hay, straw, light citrus. Middle of the road.
3.3 Poured from a can, of course, at The Ranch in Las Colinas. Little to no head. Light creaminess. Slight hint of lemon. Nice hops balance to the bready malts.
2.6 Appearance: slightly hazy medium gold, very creamy white head slowly shrinking to a thick cap. Aroma: creamed corn, grass, light honey, white toast. Taste: slightly sour when at fridge temp, sweeter and more bready as it warms, but there’s some unpleasant, watery metal in there too. Finish: the best part of the beer, the finish evokes freshly baked white bread. Notes: Painfully average. Initially it’s not great, but the finish keeps it from being below mediocre. Can from Buddy’s Beer Barn in El Paso, Texas.
2.3 Can. Golden color with a really big quickly disappearing head. Aroma was weak, watery, like old monster brand beer. Taste was bitter in an unpleasant way. Taste of corn and other undesirables.
3.4 Pours a hazy golden with small head. Toastedalt aroma with hint of lemon. Yeasty. Mildly sweet and mild bitterness . Medium body with moderate carbonation. Medium finish. Very drinkable
2.4 CAN to glass. Pours a light yellow color with light white head. Aroma is hay, grass, grains. Pretty plain. Taste is the same, hay, grass, a faint pepper. Like an improved Coors light. Not my style. At least is thirst quenching in a hot day
2.6 I’m getting more cereal and less fruit and hops than previous reviewers. Not bad. Crisp light body. Sessionable, sure, but rather boring. Likely a one timer
2.8 Yellow golden mellow carbed. Apricot apple, crisp malt. Good blonde, same taste aa flavor.
3.0 Pours a cloudy yellow with lots of streaming bubbles. Both aroma and taste are malt with a slight hop bitterness. This one’s okay. It would be great to take a cooler of these to the beach.
1.9 Had at the Great Arkansas Beer Festival 2014. Pours a cloudy pale yellow. Not much flavor. Slight hop on the nose - and biscuit. Not much to it. Decent beer.
3.0 Right in the middle of the pack for a blonde. Not bad, true to style. CLean and refreshing but just another "we gotta make a blonde" type beer nothing outrageous but good nonetheless
3.0 This beer is rather like a helles. The pour is pale and cloudy as the beer is un-filtered and heavily carbonated, overall like homebrew. The flavor is very malty, rather sweet, and yeasty in a Belgian way. Lightly hopped with a clean finish. Good in hot weather and with bar food.
3.0 Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains and a little yeast on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes pretty clean.
2.9 Can to Nonic pint. Aroma is slightly citrusy with definite bready malt. Taste is the same. No hops. Finish is clean. Drinkable but not great.
3.0 This is a good beer. Pours mildly hazy dark yellow with nice head. Aroma clean and hints of bread, little to no hops. Taste is also clean and refreshing. Finishes with hints of flower and bread with mild bitterness noted on finish.
2.8 Can. Hazy orange pour with a finger of head. Floral, grass, grain. Light to medium body. Short finish. Not bad but not exciting
2.8 Can. A- Citrus, wheat. A- Yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Wheat, yeasty, cereal, slightly sweet, alcohol. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, crisp finish. O- Pretty standard and not a lot happening. The hints of citrus were nice, but this was just not all that exciting. A decent hot weather beer, but aside from that I wouldn’t seek this out by any means. Especially for the price. Average.
3.7 12 ounce can, nice golden yellowish pour. I LOVE this can, I am a HUGE fan of blonde’s(female) not as much the beer but this one is really excellent. Great name for a beer company too. Nice malty taste with a hint of grassy hops at the end. Could drink this one all day especially if the girl on the can was serving them to me. Perfect
