Southern Tier Eurotrash Pilz

Southern Tier Eurotrash Pilz

This beer may have a cheeky name, but don’t be fooled; it is modeled after fine European pilsners to be light and crisp. Aromatic Noble hop varieties, 2-row malted barley and European style pilsner malt contribute to this pale beer’s smooth character.

3.5 Bouteille 355ml. Couleur dorée translucide, mousse blanche fuyante laissant une légère dentelle. Arôme de malt pils, citronné, herbes. Goût de malt, céréales, citron, légère amertume. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen-faible.
3.2 Bottle to glass. A very nice, light but flavorful pilsner. Sessionable. Will drink again.
2.5 (bottle - 12 oz) Clear gold with a white head. Light grass and malt aroma. Flavor is a very subtle grassy hop note with some dry and stale malts. Unimpressive.
3.0 I picked this one up simply for the name. Pours a clear golden color with white head. Cereal grains on the nose without much else; same for the palate. Finishes fairly clean.
2.9 Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: light hop and malt. Appearance: very small, white initial head with no lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Clear, medium-yellow body. Taste: lightly sour, citrusy initial flavor and lightly sweet finish with average duration. Palate: light-to-medium body, dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: not bad.
2.4 12oz bottle from Wegman’s, Buffalo, NY. Pale straw with a ring of white head; sweet grainy aroma; full-on grainy taste - like an Eastern European lager; and a vague touch of noble hops to finish. No better, or worse, than the average lager from Poland, Czech, etc.
2.9 12oz bottle into Le Guinness 2010 - nose is hay and corn. Sip adds nothing but a slight hop kick. 11 more for my camping/canoe trip - hooray?
3.0 Bottle pour. Clean piss yellow with small head. Restrained nose of straw and faint cut grass. Taste is crisp and light. Biscuits and lemon. Some grassy bitterness. A well executed, not all that interesting, day drinker.
3.2 Crisp and clean with a refreshing taste of straw and malt, light on the hops yet it's very smooth
3.5 Location/Date:Bottle on April 25th, 2014. Appearance: Pours a gold clear. Aroma:Aroma of citrus, light bready malt. Taste: Light bitterness, lemon citrus, hint of lagery taste. Palate:Light body, light fizz. Summary: Funny name, enjoyable brew.
3.0 Possibly one of the first (besides the Creme Brulee) from ST I’m not all that into. Just kinda lacks body and anything interesting going on. Little watery. Nice grass note towards the finish though.
2.6 The aroma reminds me of cheerios and has a hint of wheat. The beer has a great honey color.
2.9 Tap - small foamy head, clear bright yellow color, sweet light malty aroma and flavor, fair noble hop balance, crisp - would be refreshing on a hot summer day
3.0 12 oz bottle. Gold in color with an average white head. Aroma is of grain, herbal hops, and grass. Taste is of grain, herbal tea, light lemon, and earth.
3.0 Bottle. The look is clear, whitish head, golden in color. The smell is grains, sweet, honey, florals, and light hops. The taste is grainy, light, blah, and malt.
2.8 Not an amazing beer, and not up to Southern Tier’s standards. But overall, it isn’t bad. It pours really bright and clear, lots of carbonation, medium head. The aroma is mildly sweet and fruity. Mildness seems to be where pilseners register, or at least that is how they hit my palate . This one certainly is mild. The malt is sweet but not rich, it’s crisp. Thin. But I don’t mean to say this beer isn’t enjoyable. It’s pretty OK.
1.9 Well I'm not a big Pilsner fan to start... To me this kind of tastes like a Budweiser with a little more hops. Light, crisp, very little head, notes of straw, grass and rubbing alcohol. Most likely the worst beer I've had from Southern Tier. Not so bad I'm going to dump it, but I would save this for my friends who drink miller lite.
3.1 Southern Tier Eurotrash Pilz has a medium head, a somewhat hazy, slightly bubbly, yellow-gold appearance, and some thin, splotchy lacing left behind. The aroma is of sweet, cracker, with some grassy hops. Taste is the same. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Southern Tier Eurotrash Pilz finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, and dry. Overall, this is nice. I like it. RJT
2.3 Appearance: this beer poured with practically no head, the beer is a very clear light gold color Aroma: very pale grain, wheat, perhaps some corn, Taste: very plain, perhaps some wheat flavor, perhaps some corn, very slight bitterness on the finish Palate: lively carbonation, minimal wheat/corn aftertaste, leaves mouth dry Overall: I'm not a fan of this style but am a big fan of this brewery so I tried it, I'm still not a fan of the style but this is one of the better pilsners
2.9 From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. It pours bright yellow, with busy carbonation and a fizzy white head. This is what a pilsener should look like so no complaints there. Then I hit a "bridge out" sign. The aroma has faint biscuit malts but what I am really getting is grass and skunk. Not a green or clear bottle but there you have it. Appropriate light and refreshing. The taste is a slight step up with a slightly more notable malt character followed by a crisp, clean, dry hop finish.
3.4 Tap from The Rookery. Pours a transparent gold with a thin layer of off white head. Aroma of fruit and bread. Taste of yeast/bread/grain with nice carbonation.
3.4 Very nice but alittle too hoppy even for a pils. Nice aroma and soft in features it is.
3.7 Wow, I was pleasantly surprised. Moderate bready aroma. Taste is yeasty, smooth and crisp straw. A very drinkable beer.
3.7 Very light, crisp, and sessionable. Some grass and hay character. Golden coloration. Tried with Messa at the Old Line in 2014.
2.9 12 ounce bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a clear, light gold with a white head of foam that dissipates at a moderate rate. The aroma is a little corny with notes of fusels and rubbing alcohol. The taste is nearly abrasive bitterness that sweetens up as the beer warms. Phenolic. Medium to high carbonation.
3.1 Clear yellow, no real head. Nose is sweet malt. Decently bitter. Middle is fresh grass and unripe apple. Finish is crisp bitterness.
2.8 Pours clear light gold. Honey, citrus notes on the nose. Earthy, fruit flavors, suggestive of straw and lemon. Not a fan of pilsner in general, and this one was nothing special.
2.8 Straw colored beer with a thin white head that dissipates into a light surface film. Musky nose with a bit of sweetness and a lot of funk. Flavor is clean with a medium bitterness and not much more. Not sure why I picked this up as it is not one of my favorite styles and this provides nothing noteworthy. It does have decent body and an overall crispness I guess.
2.7 On tap at The Bearded Lady. Super light pour with little to no head. Aroma is grain and light hops. Taste is pilsner-esque.
3.4 Tap at Craftsman Table & Tap. Pours light golden, clear as day, soapy white head. Good noble hop nose, bready, very floral. Mouthfeel borders on thin, but a lively carbonation enhances the biscuity malt profile. Very, very easy to quaff. Good effort.
