3.1 Raspberry and not much else in the aroma. Very light flavor with some fruit flavor, but not overbearing. Nothing of note in the finish. Decent, but probably appeals more to the Coors Light crowd.
3.0 12 ounce bottle. Pours a golden color with a medium head. The aroma is mostly light grains and berries. A fairly natural berry flavor with light tartness more sugar, wheat, very smooth. Decent.
2.5 7/16/12. 12oz bottle. Very clear golden pour with a very small whute head. Minimal lacing. A slight touch of that fresh tannic raspberry aspect but mostly sweet raspberry and touches of corn. Very light sweet raspberry flavor with lingering soft wheat and corn. Eh.
3.6 25th June 2012 Craft. Clear pale gold beer, little white head. Light palate, crisp and very dry. Manages to avoid the curse of US fruit wheat beers by not being insipid. Hugely floral raspberry - bordering on perfumey. Sweet raspberry. Minerally finish, champagne crisp and dry. Nice! Popular with the ladies by all accounts!
3.8 Pours a clear golden yellow with active carbonation. This beer is crisp clean and refreshing. Little sweetness and a bit of bitterness accented with a touch of raspberry. Very subtle. Nicely done.
2.9 From tap @Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Low, shiny white head. Brilliantly clear, very pale straw colored body. Strong raspberry bon-bon aroma. Quite inviting, actually. Fairly fresh raspberry flavor on a crisp and dry malt body. Some artficial and light soapy sidenotes, otherwise a charming and easy drinkable summer beer
1.6 Hazy yellow colour with a small white head. Sweet raspberry nose. Rich raspberry flavour. [On tap at Schouskjelleren in Oslo, Norway]
0.7 Bottle from Hop City in Atlanta. Smells like a raspberry lotion I used to have. Tastes like raspberry sparkling water. Awful. Without the raspberry, this would be the lightest of light beer. Southern Tier is usually so good.
2.1 White yellow clear, light white head. Slight artificial raspberry nose. Flavor is sweet fake fruit. Not my favorite.
1.9 A very pale yellow pour with almost no head. A slight raspberry scent. Therein lies the problem with this beer. Everything is slight. It was like drinking water with a sight hint of raspberry, a slight taste of hops, and slight carbonation. Very disappointing. Expected so much more from the makers of the excellent Chokolat.
2.4 19/04/2011 Brasserie 4:20 (tap).
2.6 A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, strong raspberry juice covering traces of malt and hops. In mouth, a smooth sweet raspberry, light mineral notes, faint hops, watery bodied. A summer beer. Bottle from LCBO.
2.0 From my notes. Reddish pour. Fizzy, 2 fingers of head disappear fast. All I got from the aroma was sweet raspberry flavouring. Ditto the taste - Cloyingly sweet raspberry flavour. lively carbonation, lighter body, but not a joy to drink by any stretch. My wife loves fruit beer and did not care for this.
3.1 Keg at Brewdog Camden. Pale blond, very clear with small thin white head. Aroma lots of raspberry, bit gassy smell like a fizzy water. Taste bit spritzy, but very thin. Not really high carbonation but felt very gassy. Further down the glass it gets a bit better, aroma tizer like and a bit of wheat towards the end. Gets better, but still not that great.
2.9 Part of Christmas mix six. Pours clear golden, with nice nose of raspberry. Tastes of artificial raspberry syrup and some wheat. It’s crisp but disappointing overall.
2.8 This is a decent but somewhat bland APA-ish wheat beer w/ a hint of (seemingly) artificial raspberry flavor. It’s not as bad as it sounds but also not really good either. It’s a perfectly clear golden color w/ a very small head of white bubbles. The raspberry is most apparent in the nose along w/ some grassy herbal overtones. It comes out more in the flavor but there is only the slightest hint of tartness to compliment it. Flavor is very dry which keeps it drinkable. It works reasonably well overall, mostly because the raspberry is not completely overbearing. As far as this sort of thing goes, this is definitely above average.
1.6 I’m generally not a fan of fruit beers. I’ve come across a few that I enjoyed, but not many. I saw this one & was reluctant to put in my mix 6, but I hadn’t had a bad beer from this brewer yet. Until now... I was quite disappointed with this one. It poured yellow with pretty much no head. The aroma was of wheat & generic candy berry. The flavor was overpowered with chemical artificial berry flavor that ruined the whole thing. palate was average. Not one I’ll be trying again.
2.7 On tap at the brewery, served in a tasting glass. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head that fades and leaves a small amount of lace. On the nose, there are notes of raspberry, wheat and pale malts. The flavour is moderately sweet with raspberries throughout and pale malts. The wheat comes through in the end, providing a slight crispness. The finish is moderate in length with raspberries. On the palate, it is light in body with a dryish texture and average carbonation. Overall, this is a simple, one-dimensional beer with not a lot going on. Disappointing for a brew from such a great brewer. 2011-11-15
2.5 Pours light golden color. Light aromas of raspberries. Taste is a little watery with some raspberry flavor. Effervescent mouth feel with short dry finish. Overall, I was a little disappointed by this one with the brewers reputation.
3.0 Pour clear gold with a very thin white head that dissipated immediately. Aroma was raspberry and some breadyness. Taste was sweet with the raaspberry coming through. Very light mouthfeel.
3.2 Clear golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma is all raspberries with a bit of sugary sweetness. Light body, medium carbonation. Raspberry flavor with a bit of wheat twang on the back end. Lingering hay, toast and berry. Refreshing, doesn’t seem artificial.
2.8 A - Pours a bright slightly hazy golden-orange color with a thin covering of white head. The head fades very quickly leaving behind very little lacing. S - Aroma is full of sugary sweet raspberry smells. There is just a bit of wheat int he background, but the raspberry really dominates here. T - Starts off with raspberry flavor and sugary-syrupy sweetness. There is just a touch of wheat in the background. Through the middle, the sugary flavors get even stronger. The finish is a mix of wheat and raspberry that lingers in a strange way. M - Medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels a bit too watery and thin. The lingering flavors are kinda off and strange. D - Pretty drinkable. There is not too much other to say than the raspberry flavor kinda takes over and it has that overly sugary-syrupy sweetness that is just a bit too much.
2.7 Pours pale yellow into a Sam glass. White head with medium retention recedes leaving no lacing. Raspberry seed aromas. Bitter raspberry pits from front to back. Lasting bitter marshmallow finish.
1.4 12oz bottle from Pick’s Liquors poured into a Shaker. NOTE: This is a very old bottle that has been in my fridge for about 9 months. Decent amount a frothy white head that dissipates quickly. Clear and light gold. Looks like a pint of pilsner. Aroma is straight raspberry juice. Maybe a slight citrus hop but that could be my imagination. Taste is light sweet. It is not very good. It tastes like a pitcher of watered down homemade raspberry juice cocktail from concentrate that has gone bad because someone left it out overnight. Light bodied with thin texture. Flat carbonation leads to a average length and gross aftertaste. Overall, it’s pretty bad. Nothing I’ll be buying again. I’ll probably pour out the rest of this glass actually. The only reason it has such a high overall score is because it has probably gone bad in my fridge.
3.0 12oz bottle poured amber with full head. Aromas of wheat straw and fruit mainly raspberry. Heavy cloying sweetness with a fruity taste. Body is light to medium with a sweet finish. A good chick brew
3.3 I’m not a big fan of berry beers, but am always willing to try another, especially when it’s from a prolific brewery like Southern Tier. Projects a radiant golden color with excellent clarity. Smells distinctively of raspberry, oh so sweeeet. Based on the aroma I’d expect the flavor to be dominantly berry. However, the taste is like a pilsner with only a dash of raspberry. Crisp and refreshing, slightly tart, with a dry finish. Bit skunky in the end. Light body, feels a bit watered down. I’d pass this onto a girlfriend, unless paired with the right food.
3.0 bottle. waiting to find this for quite some time. pours a clear gold with no head. authentic raspberry juice aroma. sharp, dry wheat malts with modest raspberry addition flavor. light body. solid, plain and simple. yum.
3.2 Clear light straw color with a small head that laces, the beer also displays active carbonation. Wonderfully sweet rasberry aroma so intesnse and noticable. You can also catch honey and wheat in the aroma and maybe the slightest hops. In a blind smell test you would know this is a berry drink immediatley. "Dude, where’s my rasberry?" you may state when taking your first sip. Taste is light and crisp, like a lager and if your patient you can start to make out the berry flavor. There’s no hops to this but the taste is so light it doesn’t call for it. Its a suble fruit beer and in the end, it satisfies but doesn’t astonish.
2.4 Davvero pessima, mi chiedo perchè al 4:20 gira questa birra? Ho fatto fatica a finirne un bicchiere da 35cl!
2.5 This is actually not as bad as some of the reviews make it out to be. Easy drinking with some raspberry sweetness throughout
