3.6 Fresh bottle from Wegmans. Brown color with nice head. Prunes, sweet cherry malt, caramel drizzled bread, fall spices, apple, and marshmallow. The nose is Earthy and pleasant, but not loving the sweeter for the style flavor profile.
3.8 Aroma; sweet bread, grain, mash, wort, syrup, solid malts. Look; off white tall head, nice lacing, misty amber body. Taste; malts, sweet bread, grain, mash, wort, syrup, almond, and finishes malted. Feel; good body, and normal co². Overall; good festive märzen. [bottle 50cl abv5.9%, B@PL, Zamosc Lublin Białystok, T@ PiwotekaH7].
3.5 Barawa rubinowa, piana drobnoziarnista biała, aromat ziołowo słodowy, w smaku wyraźne nuty słodowe , czuć tez skorek chleba i przyjemną goryczkę na finiszu.
Alkohol niewyczuwalny. Ogólnie bardzo pijalny i dobry, kalsyczny oktoberfest bier.
3.1 Piwo wypite podczas jakiegoś zajęcia. Albo smakowało albo nie, nie miałem ochoty pisać peanów na ten temat.
3.5 Pours a medium cooper with a white head that leaves little spot lacing. Nose is roasted malt.and light floral. Body is medium. Taste is roasted malt, caramel, sweet with slight hops bitterness that balances the beer. Finish is dry. 12 oz bottle BBY 4/22. Thanks to Spaten fro exporting 12 oz bottles while their colleagues use 11.2 oz.
2.7 Sour malt pils aroma with subtle bready notes and earthy hop Pours a clear copper color with small creamy white head Bready malt with some sweet malt melanoidins, earthy hop. Medium bodied with medium co2, lingering bready dry finish. Easy drinking and basic. Nothing interesting stands out.
3.5 330ml draft to bottle from lowcostbeer.com. Pours cloudy light gold, small white head, thin retention. Aroma of grains, lemon, Taste also has notes of caramel, some raisin. Nice smooth body, soft carbonation. One of the more flavoursome Marzen beers I've tried.
2.5 I had it from the bottle. The aroma is slight skunk, grain, and hay. The taste is grain, caramel, nut, and some skunk. It slightly creamy with some prickly carbonation. It's a pretty standard and forgettable beer. It's not bad.
3.0 Not one of the better out of the half dozen-ish new Marzens I tried this season. Seemed pretty macro and missing both some malt and hop balance. Thought it would be better based on Optimator and some other German beers I had in this style. Can cross off my list now.
3.0 Keg. Clear pale golden color. Sweet, malty, caramel, very shy hops-like things in aroma/taste.
3.8 Slightly lighter in taste than other Oktoberfest beer, but a fantastic easy drinker. Tasted on perfectdraft keg at home
4.0 As classic O-fest as they come. Big head when poured from a 12-oz bottle, beautiful lacing to track your progress, caramel and grass nose, sweet finish with an oh so polite little hop bite. From a bottle best consumed by 06.2021 (OK, so I'm guessing that's what the 06.2021 on the back label means). Could drink it all October.
4.8 A very good Octoberfest beer. Perhaps lighter in favor than other Octoberfest. But very well developed. It won our Octoberfest beer tasting. A little pricey but worth it.
2.0 Muddy copper color. Malty smell, dank like Heineken. Taste is surprising for the style, reminds me of european macro pilsner with hints of Oktoberfest malts. Not much sweetness or spice. Carbonation fades quickly but mouth is coated. Slight sour, cut grass finish. Would not buy again.
4.4 Love this malty sweet beer. Good head, clear Amber color, low hop flavor. Finishes with a tickle on the palate.
3.3 Poured into a pint glass from a bottle. Decent head that lowered; has good lacing, too. Amber in color. Very attractive pour. Nose is surprisingly on a hoppy end, rather than malty. Taste is well balanced with a malt backbone and a spicy hop finish. Light, refreshing, and very approachable. I believe I had it ten years ago. Mostly have had Victory and Paulaner’s fest beers. This was perfect on a Sunday watching NFL games. Cheers!
3.6 12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Lexington. An amber brown like color in pour but light malt and some floral notes in taste.
3.7 Pours light mahogany with a two finger, light tan head. Aroma is caramel, nuts and light roast. Taste is caramel and light raisin, moving to cashew and roast. Finish is the same. Tasty marzen.
3.1 Adding in my 300 Beers To Try ticks because I want to see how they impact my stats and some of them I will never see again. Will however re-rate them when practical.
4.1 Taste like a lager. Light with some different flavors. Good
3.7 With German food, amazeballs!
3.3 Keg at The Portland International Beer Festival on 19/07/2008. A very easy drinking Marzen, with delicate floral aroma and caramel and biscuity malt flavours.
3.4 Pours a clear copper color with a thick three finger beige head. The aroma is brown bread crust and roasted barley malts. The flavor is The flavor is lightly roasted barley malts, brown bread crust, and cane sugar. The mouthfeel is medium and drink ability is quite high.
2.8 Malty bready with some off ethyl aroma. Pours bronze, good ring of head. Soft water, sugary malts, some toasted grain. Apples and grain aftertaste. Not really feeling this, but it's not all bad.
3.8 Light, malty and sweet. Very good, very drinkable.
3.2 It pours clear amber with an off white head. It is a bit sweet with apple and spice. There are some bread elements but the apple and spice were the balance is.
4.1 Best before May 2020. Good thing I looked at the reviews; I didn't realize that I hadn't reviewed it yet! It pours a lovely clear amber with a very healthy looking head of foam. Smells of bread, caramel malt, some grassy hop notes. Excellent balance imho. Bready malt, grassy hops, working in unison. Sip after sip, a true joy to drink. Light sweetness, which is overdone in quite a few domestics of the style. Not too hoppy, again, I've tasted that in some domestics. Simple, tasty, done right. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. I haven't seen this very often in Casper. This was part of a mixed case of the Premier Lager and Optimator Doppelbock. Cost me around $34. What a bargain!
