This is the German version of the beer, described by Jackson in the 2000 Pocket Beer Book as "much paler (than Oktoberfest-Marzen in the US), golden, albeit still with a creamy aroma and pleasant malt accent."

0.750 cl bottle served in ABK weizen. A clear pale golden pour, high carbonation but virtually no head: just a moment's off-white foam, and it's gone.
Aroma is faulty: I even checked the BB just in case -but nope, everything was (so it seemed) okay. But faulty, funky, stinky it was. Esters galore, dust, wet cardboard... You name it. Terrible stank.
Mouth is simple, fizzy and slightly sweet; watery, dull, boring. Then comes the aftertaste, and you get your esters and friends back again. This one's a no-no.
2.0Corn and malt. Clear golden color with medium sized white head. Big corn and honey taste. Awful. Drank past best before date.
3.0Bottle from Super Brugsen Juelsminde @ Home. Pours clear yellow with a white head. Aroma of malt, white bread, hay. Flavor is very sweet, malty, white bread, light honey, hay. Thin to medium body, average to lively carbonation, sweet finish. Easy going. 161121
3.0Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the Hereford Beer House. Pours clear yellow with a foamy, pure white head. Sugary sweet, some simple biscuits, white bread, cereal. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, almost cloying, more basic cereal and white bread. Really a bit to sweet and basic overall.
3.4Jeudi 21 octobre 2021. Bouteille de 50cL. 5.9%. Achat (La Minute Blonde", Bressuire (79), FR).

2.8Light sweet aroma of hay. Clear pale golden with a low long lasting white head. Medium sweet taste. Medium body, creamy texture & soft carbonation.

Malty on nose. Spicy, malty taste, sweetish, bit sharp carbonation. Well rounded though. Good.

2.3June 2021 - glorious sunny weekend, just back from a weekend at Barleycorn Inn, now watching the opening matches of Euro 2020 ( delayed a year due to Covid). Litre bottle of Octoberfestbier filled from a near date keg by lowcostbeers. I quite fancy going to Octoberfest, though I'm not sure how many litres of this sweetish, slightly fat (greasy? grainy?) pale lager I could drink. But, on the whole it's harmless stuff. Apart from the strength. [2.3]
3.0Solid fest bier. Does the trick
2.8500 ml bottle. Pours clear golden colour with white head. Aroma: maltiness, wet grain. The taste is sweet, malty, with marked bitterness
