2.3 18.01.13(Flasche):gold-gelb, schnell sinkender Schaum! Sehr süßes Aroma, Getreide und dunkle Beeren. Der Hopfen ist zurückhaltend! Der Geschmack ist eigentich nur stark bitter, nichts weiter. Im Abgang kommt grasiger Hopfen durch.
2.1 On tap. Aroma of cardboard, citrus and bright malts. Taste a bit maltier than expected, with heavy bitterness.
Helt okej.
3.7 Almond aroma with some sweetness gives it a nice nose. Quite dry pilsner with a bitter and tang aftertaste. Golden appearance like the name already promises.
3.5 Tastes like a classic German pilsener beer, great body and nice bitterness.
2.9 Postupně sem budu doplňopvat piva, co jsem vypil a zapsal si, chvilku to asi bude trvat a proto k těm dříve vypitým pivům nebudou žádné "dojmy" .
2.6 330 ml bottle with edges, looks good. Taste is average. A bit on the bitter side.
2.3 Tiny white head, clear golden colour. Very bitter aroma. Fruity taste, nasty bitter palate.
3.1 Lots of malt in the nose of this frothy beer. Very light, foamy head. Taste is of hops and grains. Decent pilsener.
1.8 bottle. Not impressed. No Hops, No Malt. Ok when thirsty but nothing more....
2.6 This was one of those beers I had longed for because it was in a book of world beers I had read as a teenager. Weird how reality works! Pours a medium amber, bright as bright with light, sluggish to rise carbonation. Solid and lasting cap of white no more than half a centimetre thick. Grainy, cereal-like nose; gritty and dry with little noticeable hops evident. Frothy in mouthfeel, light bodied and dry. Lots of cereal grains with little to balance but it is clean and light. A grainy lager and little else. (33cL, BB 07/02/13, Cellarbrations Carlisle)
2.7 Clear yellow color with white foam head lacing to glass. Typical barley aroma, similar taste yet bitter enough. Quite long bitter aftertaste. Not bad at all, yet nothing too special either. (Göthenborg 201208)
2.5 Bottle form a Karstadt in Kreuzberg, by 03OCT2012. Nose is dusty, corny malt, pours a pale clear yellow with a soapy white head. Taste lightly sweet and bitter with papery malt, thin and dries a bit, straw strengthens and picks up a little more hop flavor and bitterness with time. Light body.
2.5 Decent aroma, but devoid of taste when drunk, however the light texture is palatable.
2.3 Pours a clear golden with no head, the aroma is light and the taste has a decent dough flavor that is okay, just ok.
2.3 330ml bottle. Pale gold, clear. Some malt and herbal aromas. Light body, high carbonated. Taste is malty, some bitterness. Average pilsner, nothing more to say.
2.4 June 2009: Another Spendrup beer available from IKEA in the UK. It is sold here in a 33cl brown bottle (5%). Poured into a stemmed Veltins Pilsner tulip it looked very impressive: A lovely crisp white head sat on top of a mid-range golden lager yellow body. A clean looking beer, carbonisation clearly visible rising to replenish the head. Aroma was barely of anything, some cereal notes, gets my standard score of 3 for a lager. Dry and hoppy at first, then the dryness really kicks in and the hops lose their way. The dryness took over completely and ruined the beer for me. No malts to be found either, a disappointing beer apart from its looks.
1.7 Bottle. Pours straw yellow with a white head. Aroma of fruitiness, some corn, malt and herbs. Flavor is sweet and fruity with some bitterness and herbs. Thin body, lively carbonation.
2.6 Run of the mill pilsener, bigger bitterness and crisper malt profile than the standard macro, in no way an interesting beer though.
1.5 0.33l bottle shared with the tasting crew. This one pours a clear golden body with a small bubbly - almost transparent little head. The aroma is pale malty with some soft and low fruity yeasty hints. Thin and watery texture in the mouth with a medium carbonation level. It starts off pungent muddy with a yeasty-cheese like yeastiness before it ends in a watery and almost sour finish and aftertaste. Forgettable. 30.01.2012
2.6 Bottle. Pours light golden, with a nice but small head. Aroma is roasted malts, and notes of a zesty hoppines. Flavour is a pleasant roasted malt, with a nice sweetness of toffee and bread. There’s a presence of zesty hops, giving a fairly bitter and long after taste.
2.7 Bottle. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts and grains. Bit sweet aroma too. Flavour is bitter, full bitterness. Good pilsener. full bodied.
3.0 bread, resin, nuts, grass, earthy, golden, frothy, medium sweetness, medium bitterness, medium body, fizzy, bitter,
1.5 Bottle from Centra Colosseum, Oslo, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew. Light golden body, tiny white head. Aroma is light malty tones with hints of dry hops. Taste is astringent hops, honey, cellar must. Too old, probably (expiration date a few months back). Will re-rate on occasion. Oh wait; no - can’t be bothered with this one. :-P
2.2 Nur leicht hopfiger Geruch, besetzt mit Fehlaromen von Zigarrenasche. Startet getreidig. Mitte flacht süßlich ab, wirkt wässrig. Mehliger, ganz spät abbitternder Ausklang. Schwaches Bier.
2.8 Clear and golden yellow with a huge white head. Hoppy and herbs with malty notes. Good carbon, light body. Malty and some fruits on palate. Again hoppy and bitter aftertaste. B@H
3.4 Bottle @ home. Aroma is spicy pilsener, quite malty. Flavour is malty and quite spicy, long lingering spice bitterness, nice.
3.2 Bottle. Urine-yellow with a small and quickly dissipating head. The elegant bottle looks quite the opposite. Contrary to what I expected this is a very good pilsener northern-German style. That is - fast, bitter and crisp. Evidently more hoppy (grassy, herbal, hay) than malty, rather thin body, lacking any complexity but serving its purpose really well.
2.8 4.7% gold colour with a thin head, malt aroma, slightly bitter hop taste, not as nice as the bottle it was in.
