4.0 Bottle @ home Clear copper, white head Spices, nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin Nice winter warming beer
2.0 (∞-sucré (cannelle ad), bouche légère, horreur à déguster : trop d’épices (ginger, muscade, girofle), > despé-etc.)
2.5 A nice pumpkin beer from Canada. I think it would have been btter but I once again made the mistake of buying beers from French beershop Saveur Biere. They send beers two three weeks away from expering. I dont think this is ok, and wont order drom them again. Beer tastes like a good ale with somewhat weak gingerbread flavours, but its a rare treat here in Scandinavia.
2.7 33 cl. bottle @ Home. Aroma: medium intense aromas of pumpkin, cola, herbs, spices. Not a very common aroma for a beer but not an unpleasant one. Appearance: amber to deep amber color with slightly off-white and very creamy head. Low hazyness. Low to medium head thickness. Medium to high retention. Low Brussels' lacing. Taste: low to medium sweetness, low bitterness, low sourness. Flavors of cola, pumpkin and some malts and toasted malts in the background. Some caramel and spices (cinnamon and nutmeg are quite noticeable) too. Quite well balanced. Palate: low to medium body, watery texture, low carbonation, quite long slightly sweet finish with flavors of nutmeg, cinnamon and pumpkin. Alcohol is not noticeable. No astringency. Overall: aromas and flavors are quite weird for a beer but not unpleasant. Appearance is quite good. I'm not a great fan of this style but it's not bad. Quite different.
3.0 Part of the LCBO 2017 Fall Beer Program, a good quality beer (you can taste the pumpkin), but only average in comparison to other Halloween/Pumpkin ale.
1.6 Bottle from Saveur Biere. Hazy amber brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and heavy cinnamon. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. If you enjoy overly spiced pumpkin beers, this is for you. Otherwise stay well clear of this one. 110218
3.7 Arômes délicats de caramel et de fruits. Robe foncée et délicatement pétillante. Attaque légèrement acide sur de la cannelle et du gingembre qui dure en bouche. Pas mal.
3.6 Best pumpkin beer i drank so far and i drank a lot of them. Tastes natural. Enough said.
3.4 11.5 oz. bottle. Pours clear amber with a light beige head. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin. Taste is pumpkin pie, cola. Not bad.
3.9 bottle. nice deep copper with lasting head and good clarity. pumpkin pie spices at nose, nutmeg, little cinnamon. medium body, flavor is complex, lot of spices, sweet with a little astringency. A nice little warming up sensation even with only 5% alcohol. I liked it, a good pumpkin beer.
3.5 22-10-2017; botle; at home (bought at Saveur Bière, as part of their October discovery box). The looks of the beer are fine. Not to special, but nice. It looks like most Pumpkin Ales. The color of the beer is amber brown, or dark orange. The beer is crystal clear. On top a rather rough layer of foam is formed. Foam retention is rather low. Hardly anything is left after a few seconds. The smell of the beer is nice. It is not the strongest smelling Pumpkin Ale, but it sure is nice. It is a nice spicy, sweet aroma, that clearly is an autumn smell. I smell pumpkin, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, hints of clove, some bitter but fresh hops and a lovely caramel malt touch. I love the selection of spices in combination with the pumpkin. Lovingly gentle. It's great. The taste is of the same quality. Lovely caramel malty touch, sweet pumpkin, strong spiciness from the cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. They are lovely, quite gentle, but still nice. The beer is lovingly balanced. Nice. The palate of the beer is also nice. Medium body, smooth texture and medium carbonation. The finish of the beer is very nice. It is filled with pumpkin and spice, but also some nice alcohol. I like it a lot. Nice.
4.0 Robe ambre peu de mousse. Nez pice cannelle. Bouche pice cannelle. Tres bon
3.0 On tap @ Canuck Club. Pours a clear, dark orange/Amber with a small off white head. Aromas are bready, molasses, and a little spice (cinnamon). Tastes are spice dominant with nutmeg and cinnamon with a light sweet overtone. Light to medium body, assertive carbonation and a medium spicy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
2.9 Bottle from Saveur bières.com. Amber color, white head. Cinnamon, ginger, winter spices. Not my thing
3.6 Tallboy from LCBO. Pours a pretty large foamy beige head and has an amber appearance. Ok lacing. Moderate carbonation. Great retention. Strong aromas of pumpkin spice, nutmeg and cinnamon. Flavours are most notably the pumpkin spice, but also with some nutmeg and cinnamon, cloves, similar to aroma, it's all there and actually balances out so the pumpkin spice is not too overpowering. Still some sweetness but not like other pumpkin beers I've had. This has the right level and is moderate in the spice department, as in I could have it one after another rather than be or off by it, again like others rated. Pretty good!
4.1 Ar: Bright and bold pumpkin spice--nutmeg, clove, and a hint of cinnamon; caramel and toast dessert crusts. Ap: Deep amber-mahogany; clear; small tan head with poor retention, leaving a spritz-looking ring of medium-small bubbles and a little central nebula. T: Ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove; medium-light sweetness; spices are bright but not at all sharp; deep caramel and biscuit; graham crackers; bitterness is medium-low, not much hop flavor gets through, just a bit of herbalness; finish is drying nutmeg, clove, and a touch of raisin. P: Full-bodied with medium-high carbonation; finish is medium-dry. O: I like this pumpkin ale a lot; great spice mix and presentation, very assertive, yet balanced, and fresh; malt character is rich and deep; holding up well to the spices.
3.6 Glorious aroma of pumpkin spice entices immediately! Pours a clear deep orangey-brown colour with little head. Combines the toasty/malty flavours of a good ale with the taste of pumpkin and the spice lingers on the finish. Love this one! So seasonal and festive!
3.4 Where Purchased: 473ml can from the LCBO Consumed: from the can Aroma: Smells spicy and pumpkins. Appearance : not sure. Consumed from can Taste: very well balanced. Lots of spice and pumkin notes mixed with a good malty ale. Palate :medium body. Somewhat sweet aftertaste. Good carbonation. Overall: not my favourite style of beer, but this was one of the best I've had. Everything was in balance. Quality beer. I was glad to try and would buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.
3.2 Appearance: Wow, extremely carbonated with like a zillion little bubbles that keep rising up and a thick bubbling head. Unsettling a little but still nice to look at. A hazy orange-brown with some red in it rounds things off. Smell: Major whiff of ginger and some hops. A nice malty background but the spices dominate here. I get some mint in there also. It smells like a fresh breath of air though a tad too polished. Taste: Pumpkin spice and ginger with a bit of hop bitterness but otherwise has a kind of abrupt finish. Better as it warms with a mesh of spices but tastes a tiny bit artificial. Mouthfeel: Not as aggressive on the carbonation as i would have thought though it is up there. Medium body that wears thin near the end.
3.1 Bottle poured a clear reddish amber with a small lasting creamy amber head. Aromas of caramel, nutmeg, clive and light cinnamon. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of caramel, clove, cinnamin and nutmeg with a smooth dry lingering spiced finish.
3.3 St-Ambroise Citrouille 5% The only pumpkin beer I was able to pick up in Montreal is one is been meaning to try for awhile. The color is a deep orange brown with bad head retention with the fizzy beige head disappearing as fast as one on a class of cola. The aroma on this satisfies with a classic pumpkin pie spice component: cinnamon, allspice, nutmeg and an enticing fruitiness. Light bodied with a raspy somewhat rough carbonation and dry finish. This lack of depth detracts from my enjoyment of the beer somewhat but it still gives you fruit cake, nuts, and pumpkin pie spices. It’s a shame the body/flavor don’t live up to that aroma but it remains a fairly well balanced pumpkin beer. If they thickened the body and smoothed out the carbonation it’d be a real winner.
3.1 On tap at SLL tasting. Pours clear amber with a medium sized off-white head. Smells of pumpkin, nutmeg, ginger, and clove. The taste follows closely with pumpkin, spices, and bready malts but has a weak intensity. Good body and above average carbonation.
3.4 Pours a dark brown copper color with a medium tan head. Not much head retention. Aroma is strong spices, mostly nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon and a faint caramel malt nose. Taste is medium sweetness. Nice mouth feel for the style. Medium body. Small hops in the end. Not bad actually
3.5 A nice pumpkin ale. Pours a good looking orange/brown with persistent head. Aromas of pumpkin, bread, sweet malts. More pumpkin flavours with spice notes and lots of malty goodness.
3.6 Bottle. Clear, deep amber pour with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel and bright pumpkin spice - cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, with a little something else that makes this smell fresh and bright. Taste is easygoing and nicely balanced, some pumpkin spice notes but not overly spiced, some caramel, and a hint of ginger that really makes this stand out. Fairly light but really nice for a pumpkin beer.
3.7 Much better than expected and I actually went back for more. Pours a beautiful clear red with tiny quickly dissipating head. Aroma was of caramel, cinnamon, nutmeg, and light soap. Tastes of pumpkin pie, caramel, ginger zing, and toffee. Has a light body with tingly ginger finish.
