4.3 500 ml bottle. Rich smell of pine and grapefruit. Yellow and crystal clear. Very hoppy. Undertones of sweet malt mix with grapefruit pith and pine resin. Crisp bitter finish. Very nice hop bomb of an IPA.
3.5 Bonne bière
2.7 # 2921; 5/2022. Light fruity and flowery aroma. Clear gold body; white head. Lighter body, strong bitterness, zesty, slightly detergent finish, perfumy. Not my cup of tea... 0,5 l, bottle, local shop, Lincoln (Lincolnshire, England).
Parfaite !
3.5 Colour is a clear and pale IPA with a sizeable white head. Aroma is citrusy, fruity and malty. Taste is quite bitter, earthy, oaky with a slight grassy and fruity taste to it. Overall this is quite a refreshing beer.
4.5 Loved it! Lovely experience. 440ml can from Beer Hawk. Not much to add really.
3.1 Clear amber. White foamy head.smells like malt / old man's bitter. Tastes strong, initially unpleasantly chemical but that's quickly overpowered by a pleasing bitterness. Nice but not a patch on newer 'craft' IPAs.
3.5 Many thanks to Lander for sharing the bottle! Clear golden, small, frothy, off-white head. Aroma of dried mandarin peel, apple, pear, grass, hay, bread crust. Taste has sweetish unripe apple & pear; quite a bitter middle of grass, grain & yeast over bready maltiness. Bitter, grassy hoppy finish, citrusy edge. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Not too shabby with a nice hoppy bite, making it quite modern.
3.9 Clear golden, small white head. Aroma of marmalade, hay. Tasty, dry, recin, varnish. Powerful and drinjable. With jke and bg at vb
3.2 500ml bottle. Crisp, earthy and caramely malty with hints of bitterness, grassy hops and toffee. Decent.
3.4 Bottle from Lidl. Pours a clear light golden colour with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of citrus grapefruit, mango and pineapple with hints of biscuits and floral notes. Taste is predominantly grapefruit with a little more of the tropical fruits, marmalade, herbal, more biscuits and floral and also notes of tea and caramel. A hoppy bitter citrusy finish. Medium to full body with low carbonation and a smooth oily mouthfeel. Quite good for what it is but not really my favourite type of beer.
3.8 Old fashioned IPA, I guess: golden; thick head that persists; smells herbal, slightly mineral; stings your lips; tastes like proper pale ale. Summery (that could be a Pavlovian response to its Cornish origin). Like it.
3.0 Assez fade
3.8 Pullo @ K-Supermarket Kaijonharju.
3.7 Bottle. Big focus on EKG, so lots of grass, herbal hops and light bitterness. A really well done English IPA, herbal with a somewhat dry finish.
A peine trop amère
3.2 Clear, light golden colour. Citrus hops aroma. Fizzy. Clean bitterness. It's hasn't a lot of usual IPA flavours but is very well balanced. Very good, session beer.
5.0 First drank Proper Job on draught in a pub in Churchtown Southport. Thought it was a darned good pint. In latter years discovered the bottle variety which at 5.5 is actually stronger than the draught which I think is 4.5. Have always been an Old Speckled Hen drinker but Proper Job is my go to Ale now. Don't agree with another reviewer who says only half the bottle is drinkable as it is bottle conditioned. Only a tiny drop needs to be left in the bottle. It is a very drinkable golden ale with plenty of taste and body. I like it!
3.7 Soft bitter, little bit of lemon.
3.5 Keg (Black Door, Helsinki). Clear deep amber color. Malty, grainy, herbal, mild hops, mellow in aroma/taste.
4.2 Light amber appearance citrus lemon and pineapple tastes. Good strength . Nice clean bite on palate liked some bready and caramel hints Enjoyable and refreshing. Second pint continues to improve
4.0 This beer was my gateway into IPAs and I’m still a huge fan. Lovely balance of hops and malts, noticeably a British-style IPA with a lingering bitterness. Relatively mass produced but retains bags of character
3.9 Quite fizzy, but nice bitterness, crisp and very hoppy and not overpowering
3.3 0,5 litre Bottle, got as a Christmas Gift. Golden with white head. Malts, hops, Citrus, some herbal bitterness.
3.8 A surprisingly well balanced IPA with a classically British malt backbone. Hop aroma was a little lacking from the bottle but I have read this beer is quite superb from the cask.
3.5 500ml bottle from Waitrose, pours amber with a small white head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, caramel, bread, wood, flora, vanilla, lemon & grapefruit. Medium body. Dry & bitter finish. Very enjoyable
