CONCLUSION : 4 oui, extra non, St Bernardus à peine ..
Cuerpo ligero. CO2 alto. En boca mismas sensaciones. Ligeramente cítrica y especiada. Final seco. Muy disfrutable. BB 2022/11/05
3.4 Bottle from Belgian Beer Shop, Leuven. Quite nice light Belgian aroma of witbier and tripel. Faint gold with low hard to see carbonation. Keeps some head. Tasty and light. Easy drinking at the abv.
3.6 330ml bottle. Clear, light gold with a big fluffy white head. Light fruity aroma, flavour is fruity with yeast and a little spice too. Nice
3.1 Pale gold with white head. Light malt aroma. Light taste malt and something else. Slim finish.
3.9 Bottle from Hops and Crafts Exeter. Pours hazy light lemon with a big white head. Aroma of lightly baked cracker, doughy bread, candy sugar, clove, spicy pepper, dessert pear & some citrus . Taste of more light wafer, dessert pear, clove , candy sugar & doughy bread. Light bodied with good carbonation , this beer is wonderfully crisp & refreshing. The finish is dry and bittersweet with more wafer, pear, candy sugar , bread & a slight sourness. Nice!
Sabor a grano o heno, malta clara, levadura y frutas blancas maduras con notas a polvo, polen, limón dulce y ligero mineral. Dulzor y amargor medio-ligeros y alcohol medio con regusto medio. Textura acuosa, cuerpo medio y carbonatación alta.
3.6 Hazy golden beer, thick white head. Smells light, bready and zesty. Flavour has some citrus, a little banana, a bit grassy, a good amount of malt. Decent body to it but refreshing.
3.6 Bottle from Honest Brew. Pours a light cloudy gold with moderate sized white fluffy head which recedes to a nice top with plenty of lacing. Aroma is sweet, light grain and yeast, somewhat grassy but quite clean on the nose. Taste has a nice clean malt, light yeast and fruitiness, some citrus notes, crisp grassy bitterness and spicy finish. It could almost be described as a great lager!
Buena.
4.0 On tap at Lama Dog in Santa Barbara. Pours a cloudy golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of light fruits, Belgian yeast, raisin, peppery spices. Flavor of Belgian yeast, light fruits, clove, spices, bready malt. Delicious light Belgian - lightly spiced and fruity. Solid Belgian. 8/4/8/4/16 (4.0/5)
3.9 .25l draft pours a golden color with a small white head. Aromas of yeast, malt, light floral. Light bodied, crisp, slightly bitter delicious.
3.2 Draught at Taphouse. Clear golden coloured with a small white head. Fruity aroma of hay, citrus and zest. Fruity flavour of hay with notes of spices and citrus. Light watery.
3.5 Light beer but big belgian taste. A bit muddy, but a a lot of quality phenols. online saveurbier.
3.2 Verfrissend lekker ,mag nog eens gedronken worden
3.4 24.2.2021: 330 ml bottle at home, 4.8% ABV, bb. 8.9.2021, bought at La Mise En Biere, Lausanne. Pours a very lightly hazy light golden with a large frothy white head. Aroma of yeast notes of dough, sourdough, some grass, some grains, spicy notes and phenolic notes. Medium body with a very lively carbonation, a light sweetness and a light to medium bitterness. The flavor is lightly to medium malty, lightly yeasty and lightly to medium hoppy and pretty full for the ABV - grains, sweet grains, bitter grass, bitter herbs, some spices, some peppery notes, dough, phenolic notes. Finishes with a a light to medium grassy hop bitterness. Aroma: 7 Appearance: 4 Taste: 7 Palate: 4 Overall: 12
3.2 Bottle, bb 9/21. Gold with a large white head that fades to a little under an inch but never disappears. Aroma is yeasty and spicy with grass and vague citrus. Pretty thin, spritzy. A little sweetness but dry and moderately bitter at an end that's full of spices.
3.6 Pours carbonated light golden yellow with a big white froth. Aroma is light grains and floral notes. Taste is again, light and subtle, grassy notes, floral and a touch of lemon
4.0 Quite carbonated. Abit yeasty and bready. Abit of coriander. Lemony and citrusy. Light bodied. Hoppy. Bitter and peppery. Definitely a refreshing one for a hot day.
3.5 330 cl bottle, poured almost clear yellow with very little head. Light bodied, strong carbonation. Lemon and yeast aroma, coriander and lemon taste with mildly peppery finish.
3.5 Bottle from Sophie's Beer Store. Aroma combines citrus with basement. A yeasty basement. Light gold. Frothy bubbly white head. Medium citrus sourness. Light bitterness on the periphery adding a soda element. There's some sweet yeasty but it's incredibly shy. Malty finish. Light. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. Dry finish. Light but importantly it's also crisp and refreshing.
3.2 330 ml bottle from a local store. Very large foamy white head that doesn't go away quickly; the colour is pale gold and not very clear. Slight hoppy smell accompanied with a slight aroma of fruits (peach perhaps). Malty and fruity taste comes with a rather slight hoppy flavour, becoming more pronounced at the end. Well carbonated but on the thin side.
3.5 Golden colour, frothy head that stays for a while. Aroma is coriander, flour, lemon, some banana and peach. Light bitterness. Lively carbonation, light body. Good.
3.5 330ml bottle brewed in Belgium at 4.8%. Clear (ish) pale yellow with a large good-duration head. Grassy sweet aroma, faintly fragrant a la Olbas Oil. Moderate carbonation. Surprisingly, a little dry, and lacking sweetness usual for a Belgian golden ale (although the end result is subsequently nicely balanced), with definite shades of a thicker-textured, less malty, hoppier Helles instead. Abbey water is fairly distinct and familiar, although little to no typical 'Belgian yeast' character. A pale, faintly honeyed malt lurks. A clean light fruity (suggestions of pear) ale with slight zing, slight sweetness, and a nice fresh character juxtaposed with a somewhat rustic style that sets it apart from the aforementioned Helles - this is more some sleepy old village than the bracing cutting edge of the alps. Well, it is Belgian, after all. No wow factor here, but no complaints either, St Bernardus really know how to balance a beer and avoid any objectionable notes. Definitely a nice summer quencher, but also something to try your lager-drinking friends with perhaps - it could be the start of something wonderful. After all, it's got the unmistakable taste of quality ingredients.
3.5 Large foamy white head left a big froth on an unclear golden body. Zesty aroma with confectionery. Medium bodied, soft & aereous with a sharp back. Biscuit, chalk, yeast, hoppy, fruits & a punchy zesty finish. Thirst quenching
3.9 Sept 2020. 330ml dark bottle, unfiltered, from Beers Of Europe. This is nice. Golden. Perfumed. Delicate. Quaffable. Tasty. I love beers that display the magic of malt and yeast. This is what beer is about. No extra flavourings. Just the essential centuries old magic. No using hops to cover up the malt and yeast. No throwaway lab yeast, closed fermentation, filter and can. Proper beer made properly with confidence, honesty and courage. Simply gorgeous. [3.9]
