St-Feuillien Saison

St-Feuillien Saison

St-Feuillien’s Saison is what the Belgians call a beer of the terroir, a traditional farmhouse ale with all the rich savour of the fertile land of southern Belgium. Saison, a warm golden blonde beer, is a top-fermented classique. Thanks to secondary fermentation in the bottle, Saison has an unmistakable flavour full of rich nuances and a slight tang. Judge for yourself. In first instance, for export to the USA only.

3.5 Flaska från systembolaget. Gyllengul öl med vitt skum. Fruktig och jästig med toner av citrus och örter. Torr avslutning.

3.7 330ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber-orange with a large, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Aroma of pale malt, Belgian yeast, apricot, orange peel, coriander, hay and floral hops. Sweet flavour of bready pale malt, candi sugar, apricot, orange peel, peach, Belgian yeast, coriander, black pepper and floral hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Pleasant, enjoyable and has some complexity.
3.7 0.33l lahvové zakoupené přes český eshop beershop.cz. Velmi příjemný skvěle pitelný tradiční belgický saison.

3.8 Cloudy Darker Gold pour with a lively head. Aroma of malt and cereal. Taste; clean and crisp. A little sweetness leads into a pleasingly bitter after taste. Cereal and yeast at the forefront. A warming Saison, perfect for a winter's evening.
3.8 Bottle tasted Cloudy Golden color with a high white head. Citrus esters with peppery spices floral and some earthy notes to the nose. Grainy malts with some biscuit, citrus blossom and peel with pepper spices and stone fruits in the end. Body is medium with medium carbonation. Finishes dry with an acidic aftertaste. Overall very simple drinkable and refreshing saison nicely balanced.
3.7 Courtesy of Sergey, bottle, bb 26/08/2021, L9580 Cloudy blond colour with medium head. Gentle aroma of malt and coriander. The flavour is quite malty, moderately sweet, with sweet spices, a touch of honey and hay. Excellent balance.
3.6 330ml from Denman LRS on Alex's deck. Appearance: hazy golden with a white head. Aroma: peppery, malty Classic 🇧🇪 saison. Taste: along the same lines, some caramel notes, nice body. Overall: pretty good one.
3.8 The quintessential example of the style? Refreshing, floral, peppery farmhouse beer. Great. Backlog.
3.4 A small bottle, a surprise find at Family Mart down the road. Aroma: fruity yeast. Appearance: opaque light amber, minimal lacing; noticeable floaters rather off-putting. Palate: medium-bodied and sticky, fizzy carbonation; complex, predominantly sweet finish. Taste: medium sweet, with bitter notes. Vanilla, apples, treacle. At 6.5% , punches above it's weight. Good beer.
3.8 Light yellow color, firm head. Hazy. Quite intense and complex smell. Fruity, triple-like influences, with aromas of bananas, vanilla and some citric sourness. This is progressed in its taste, though slightly hoppier, less sweet and nicely malty. Bit sour, dry and subtly bitter finish. The taste disappears fast, but somevage bready malty aftertaste lingers. Quite nice.
4.1 (Prod. 19-02-07) Hazy golden orange apperanace with light sediment and a white head. Aroma of stone fruit, farmhouse funk, mild barnyard, light lemon zest and a hint of herbal spice. Similar flavor, peachy, kind of funky and lightly earthy with mild acidity, mild sweetness and light bitterness. Medium body with a light dry feel and a refreshing finish. Wow, really enjoyable and easy to drink overall.
3.9 Pours with a gold-amber body and a large white head. Wonderful peppery, musky Belgian yeast aroma and taste. A moderate bitter finish, light bodied. Just great Belgian character.

3.5 Caramel and orange flavours, tasty and lightly refreshing.
4.8 Almost perfect !
3.0 Lockdown June, 2020. The day it rained for the first time since lockdown started. 330ml bottle from Tesco, unfiltered. Pleasant fruity saison. Gentle sweetness. Nice yeast profile. Hint of bubblegum. Good drinkable saison. I like saison. This isn't a wonderful example, but it is certainly tasty enough. [3.0]
3.0 sabor muy ligero a cerveza belga, un poco amarga y muy facil de beber. buena cerveza
3.9 Bottle from Tesco. Pours a hazy amber/orange colour with a thick throthy off-white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of apples, pears, apricots, bananas, cloves and a little caramel . Taste is very similar to the aroma, very fresh. Light to medium bodied with a little fizz on the palate and a nice fruity and very slightly acidic finish. Excellent
