1.8 Sample at the DBLDP on 09/03/2017. Clear pale golden color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Spotty lace. Aroma of grainy malt and slight hops. Light-bodied and highly carbonated with flavors of malt, hay, fruit and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet with a grainy aftertaste. Below average overall.
4.5 I'm a non-alcoholic beer drinker. This is my day to day favorite. It's also available many places.
3.0 If you are a non alcoholic beer drinker than you need to drink this :O
2.4 Aroma and flavor is mostly watery with a bit of malts, not really anthing to it but drinkable, without any punch/alcohol.
1.7 Bottle into pils glass, because why not! Typical clear pale-golden mass lager color with white head. Aroma notes of pale malt sweetness, corn and a hint of grass hops. Taste adds malt graininess, white bread, some tea and tad noble hop. Light body, heavy-moderate carbonation, fizzy with almost cardboard malt finish. By NA lager standards honestly not too bad. There is a hop presence in this one not found in other NA’s I’ve had.
1.5 Bottle, clear yellow, big, white foam. Aroma corn and malt. Taste is corn and malt, hint of skunk. Palate is very light and watery.carbonation moderate.
1.7 Bottle at The Hamilton, DC. Golden body with minimal head. Nose is skunky, malts, grass, no alcohol. Taste is skunky, grainy, sweet. Not a good beer, at all.
0.6 Pours a light amber from a bottle. Skunky sweet corn aroma, super sweet flavor, with a flavor a little like old cold tea, slick mouthfeel. Should have poured it out but at a networking event, thought I should just muscle through it. About one of the worst beers I’ve ever had.
2.4 Two 12oz bottles (badged as St Pauli Girl N.A.) shared with my wife and our pregnant daughter on 12 th May 2015 in Laguna Niguel, Orange County while awaiting our 1st grandchild. Looks like a regular lager/pilsner: golden, bright, clean and clear, on top a swiftly fading white head. Corn and general grain aroma and taste, semi-sweet overall with a mild bittering finish. Not the worst N A out there but certainly not the best either. Drank purely to help my daughter and for research purposes.
1.1 skunky flat tasting had ok color but if that is the best that I can come up with, you might want to pass on this brew.
1.4 12oz bottle pours a clear pale golden with a large white head. Smells like stale malt and hop farts. Taste like spoiled sweet malt and copper. Holy badness.
1.0 Bottle @ home, picked up at Supermarket Liquor. Clear golden appearance with a thin head. Super skunky, grassy, weedy aroma. Watery, thin, grassy, and skunky. Pretty hoppy. Awful.
1.3 11.2oz bottle, thanks to chudwick. Green bottle, 09.2013 best by... Clear golden orange color. Thin ring of bubbly white head, rope or two of lace. Up front in the nose, big burnt popcorn aroma that I seem to get from almost every macro NA I try (especially those of dubious age). Is that skunk? I’m not sure. It overwhelms any other pleasant flavor that may be lingering beneath. Some bready, peppery flavor, mild caramel. Moderate sweet taste, light to moderate bitter. Some medicinal astringency. Medium body, lightly slick. Sort of rough, slightly biting texture in the finish. I agree with brad’s sentiment... "...It’s just... Not... Pleasant." Every time I sip this my face contorts. Very bad finish.
1.3 12 oz bottle shared by DrSilverworm. Pours a clear golden color with no head that lasts. The aroma is skunked from the beginning, grainy, grass, not pleasant. The flavor is sweet, grainy, honey, less skunky, some buttery character, still not enjoyable. I would respectfully decline the next time.
2.3 Pour form a 12oz. Clear yellow brew with decent amount of white head. Weak aroma and taste though. A good N/A but not the best.
1.9 Bottle from Food Pantry Waikiki 211214. Very pale looking beer with a skinny white head. Not a lot going on here but okay for a non alcoholic beer.
2.2 335ml green bottle. Opens with some skunk. It is malt juice with a touch of hops. Muchore beer like than most and isn’t skunked in the taste.
1.6 Bottle at home. Pours a pale yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is floral. Flavor follows with some biscuit and maltiness. Drinkable, but why?
0.9 "kinda pointless...like the st pauli girl light. why are you drinking this if you don’t want the alcohol? had it once as it was the only thing offered...not ever again."
2.3 12os bottle that was best 13 months ago. Sweet malts. Long finish for the style. A body that is a tad big. Not offensive.
1.6 Generic, somewhat skunky lager smell out of the green bottle. Super carbonated palate; malty and metallic hay taste out of the glass. About on par with their regular lager, and slightly better than O’Doul’s green thing.
1.9 Pours clear golden with low white head. Aroma of rye bread, light citrus. Taste is sweet, kind of wheaty. Body is light and smooth with average carbonation.
0.8 Now that I have infant at home I can’t chug DIPA’s to my hearts content so it’s a good time to catch up on my low alcohol style ticks. pours like melted butter. Nose is dreadful skunk. Tastes of corn husks, sweet grains, and urine. Astringent palate. Tick tick tick
2.4 Tall head which dissipates quickly. Not very pleasant aroma of rice. Taste is clean and uneventful.
2.3 @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear golden amber with a rocky head that drops slowly to a cover, many streaks of lace. After reading several other reviews, I think I must’ve stumbled onto a fresh bottle, because there is none of the skunk or dishwater. Aroma is actually appealing - there is biscuit mainly, with a bit of malt. Taste is most definitely sweet malt (and adjunct) that attempts to be bitter in the finish, and fails after a mild effort. But,... I can drink this stuff, actually more comfortably than a lot of the big box stuff. I’ve always been highly biased against N/A beers, but that was without trying them. This isn’t craft anything, but it serves a purpose very well.
1.1 Pale straw pour. Aroma of refuse, sweet malt. Flavor is mildly spicy with underlying sweetness. No thank you.
3.0 Best by 09. 2012 Golden with a central dome and outward flowing bone white foam. Pretty good look for the style examples I’ve seen. Smells of light grain, some dough, some sweet bread, a touch of floral hops and a little bit of yeast character. Corn, grain, really sweet, slight bitterness on the back end. Nothing special. Thin bodied and moderate carb. Meh, not the worst, not the best I’ve had. It’s funny though, I’m finding that the NA beers have the knack of never really seeming to skunk.
1.6 Yellow pour with a white head. The aroma and flavor are pretty much non-existent but there is a bit of grain in both. Thin mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
0.8 Smells like a skunk spray, no joke. Wtf. Tastes super sweet like a tablespoon of artificial sweetener blended into stale malts and 7-Up. In a word: Dreadful.
1.5 Well at least i completed low alcohol off my list of beer styles. Skunky snell and flavor. I definitely wouldnt want this one again.
