2.7 Bottle from a supermarket. Pale golden colour with a white head. Aroma light grain taste almost like a sweet vermouth with a light bitter finish.
3.0 500ml bottle Tesco. Pale golden, no head. Sweet aroma with a smoky hint. Taste is strong sweet with a light citrus hop bitterness. Low carbonation. Surprisingly pleasant, but a little too sweet for my tastes
3.0 Bottle from Oddbins,West End. Appearance - golden amber with a decent head. Nose - pale malt and lemon if you really look for it. Smell a bit of missing gluten if that makes sense. Taste - sweet biscuits and lemon. Some bitterness comes back at the finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a finish that could be fresher. Overall - lacks freshness but ok since I’m thirsty.
2.7 DAA at Majavatnet with my stuffed nose. Take away from Levanger. Bottle 500ml. Pours small, clear gold with a frothy, fast fading white head. Nose is moderate malt and citrus floral. Taste is moderate sweet and bitter with a somewhat lasting dry citrus finish. Body is light, texture is thin, carbonation is avarage.
3.0 Bottle, 500 ml from Vrutak, Zagreb. Clear golden with foamy white head. Hoppy aroma. Grainy, light hoppiness in flavor. Light bodied.
2.5 Clear golden amber, small quickly dissipating off-white head. Nose is sweet doughy malt, sickly caramel. Flavor is doughy malt, grain notes with caramel and vague citric-grassy hops. Weirdly oily moutfeel I can’t quite describe. Not my cup of gluten-free tea.
2.1 Bottled and labeled as St Peter’s Sorgham Beer: Gluten Free. Not sure I would have purchased if stated as "G-Free" weird. At any rate. Skunky aroma - sharp and abrupt flavor... Odd. Not a fan at all. There have to better ways to make a decent tasting gluten-free beer.
2.1 bottle LCBO: clear golden body under a white head. Sweetbread, hops, and citrus in the nose. Flavours of caramel and grassy hops are there, but come up inadequate without any malt to back it them up - typical of gluten free beverages. That said, the sorghum was surprisingly decent. Crispy finish. Not horrible.
2.0 Caramel/ heavy toffee flavor, unique for a gluten free beer. A big vienna lager flavour. English Style pale ale notes. No head overtop a straw body tinted with a subtle amber. Better than most gluten free beers I’ve had.
2.5 Bottled 500ml. -from Vrutak Zagreb. Clear golden coloured, minimal white head that went away fast, weak grainy nose. Sweetish malty, light grainy, slight cardboard and cereals with short finish. Some late bitterness shows up just for a second or two in the aftertaste.
2.8 Modest off white loose head, clear honey golden body. Sweet aroma with malts, toffee and honey. Malty taste with some grassy hops, toffee notes, dusty grainy hops. Slightly sticky, normal body, modest carbonation. Grainy finish with bitterish malts. Interesting variant. But I got no citrus. [50cl btl, abv4.2%, BB23jun15, B@Eurospar]
2.1 bottle. Poured clear gold with almost no head. Aroma of lemon dish soap. Light body with a slick mouthfeel, finishes a bit metallic. Sweet pale malt, hay flavour with some nice spicy hops built in that make it NOT a horrible gluten free beer. I won’t be buying it again but it wasn’t a drain pour.
1.5 Poured into a pils glass. 3.25 A: This is carbonated like mad. First pour gave me over two hands of head. Several pours later I discovered a clear medium yellow color. Three plus fingers of foamy white head. Retention lasts seemingly forever as bubbly reinforcement from below keep it maintained. Lots of lacing. 1.75 S: Smells of perfumy doughy sweetness with notes of ginger ale. Strange and I don’t really care for it. 1.5 T: Sweet doughiness. No much in terms of hops. Perfumy ginger ale. Not much else to say - doughy overly sweetened ginger ale. 3.5 M: Medium body. I swirled this enough to get the carbonation down to an acceptable level. Moderately creamy. Not bad here. 1.25 D: All I need to say is that I wouldn’t drink beer if I had to drink sorghum beer. Stuff is horrible. DavoleBomb, Jun 02, 2013
3.5 Bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Being a gluten-free beer I didn’t have high hopes for this but it was pleasantly surprising. Decent pilsner with decent hop flavours. Would have again.
3.0 Bottle from Ade. Pours a clear golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of grassy hops with a hint of caramel. Light-medium body, average carbonation, a little heavy on the bitterness in finish. Decent enough.
3.5 Bottle at Stuu666’s. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aromas of light orange citrus. Taste is light sweet, light bitter. Light body, slightly chalky grapefruit bitter finish. Not bad.
3.3 Bottle at home. Pours clear golden, nose is toffee, light citrus, taste is dry and sweet, orange.
2.7 Fruits, grass, some citrus and a hint of caramel in the aroma. Golden with a white head. Light to medium sweet and medium bitter. Light to medium body with a average carbonation. Overall not bad, but a bit thin and unbalanced for my taste.
2.4 "meh...i hope it doesn’t come to this one day. kind of a premium price for a run of the mill gluten free beer. darkish yellow...cereal tpe grainy aroma and taste, a hint of sweetness (sorgum?) and some grassy hops. pretty standard beer...not worth the price."
2.4 Bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak grainy aroma. Sweetish malty grainy buttery bitter flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy grainy buttery bitter finish.
2.5 Bottle. Medium hold, short lived white head. Sweet grainy profile with light stone fruit character, mildly bitter finish. Not bad for gluten free.
2.9 Doft av karamell och engelsk kola. Smaken domineras av blommig beska. Vattnig munkänsla.
2.7 OK, I’m back from a 4 year gin and red wine hiatus after I stopped consuming gluten! Only GF beer I actually enjoy. I loved their apricot ale in the same lovely bottle. Obviously, this beer is lacking, but imho this beer is a small GF miracle. Only GF beer I’ve had free of a sharp, almost sour, upfront mouth-feel, and with some actual finish that isn’t metallic or some funky non-beer aftertaste. This beer is a start, praise God!
2.1 Bottle from Matkroken, Stokka. Pours clear golden with a small creamy white head. Weak grainy aroma. Light resiny bitter taste, harsh and unpleasant, not my cup of tea.
2.6 Klar lys gyllen farve med minimalt med skum. Lukt av noe malt og sitrus. Smak av malt, karamell og humle. Supermarked.
2.2 Duft av malt, eik og en anelse honning. Lite skum. Fin gyllen klar honingfarge. Bitter smak med en anelse honning i ettersmaken.
2.1 From a bottle. Pours clear and golden with a tiny head, mild fruity hops aroma, initially sweet but with a strange aftertaste. I’m not a huge fan, gluten free ruins most things.
2.8 500ml bottle. Clear golden amber colour, foam white head leaving alittle lacing and aroma of grain, light citrus. Taste is sweet, grain, bready, with orangey citrus and light bitterness. Watery mouthfeel, light bodied, medium carbonation, dry light bitter finish. OK.
2.4 Not bad for a glutenfree beer. Little bit Floral aroma. A little bit metallic after taste
