3.2 50cl bottle at home, bought at Van Erp Dranken, Groningen. Appearance: clear dark brown to black with medium sized beige head. Aroma: lots of honey, roasted malts, rye-like malts, caramel/toffee. Taste: medium sweetness and high bitterness. Notes of honey, butterscotch, vanilla, heavy roast and some licorice. Palate: medium bodied, watery texture and medium carbonation. Overall: Actually pretty interesting. Lots of honey and hop bitterness. The latter was a bit surprising and might be a bit too much, for me at least.

3.2 Sample@Ølfestival København 2018. A dark brown coloured beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, caramel, honey, chocolare and with a roasted finish.

2.5 Kolor ciemno kasztanowy z rubinowymi prześwitami, klarowny. Piana beżowa, średnio wysoka, średnio trwała. Aromat jest mocno miodowy, słodki. Nuty palone, kawowe bardzo niskie, wręcz minimalne. Smak podobnie miodowy, słodki. Tutaj jednak pojawiają się "mocniejsze" nuty kawowe i czekoladowe, a miodowa słodycz złamana jest kawową goryczką. Wysycenie średnie w kierunku do niskiego. Pełnia niska, piwo jest zwyczajnie wodniste.

3.9 El sabor a miel es inmediato pero sutil y persistente al final del trago. Con notas finales de cacao y madera. Con poco cuerpo y espuma poco persistente. Una buena Ale para quien gusta de sabores amargos y fuertes.

2.7 The foam is beautiful. The aroma is slightly honey and roasted malt. On the palate. Basically honey, then slightly roasted malt, caramel. The finish is sweet, honey with bitterness.

3.3 Dieses Porterbier verspricht nicht zu viel: es ist ordentlich mit Honig versetzt; dieser dominiert den gesamten Geschmack. Allerdings wirkt es dadurch schon fast überzuckert und überdeckt die eigentlich guten Porter-Elemente, die das Bier sonst aufweist. Es ist auf jeden Fall ein besonderes Bier mit einen charakteristischen Geschmack. Für Honigfreunde ein Genuss; für Freunde von herben Bieren aber nichts.

3.4 Dark brown body with tan head. Aroma is honey malts bers wax. Taste is bees wax honey malts caramel. Aftertaste is nice balanced.

1.9 Coffee hard candies in the aroma with liquorice and minimal cocoa, but it's quite faint. Taste is definitely dry with hella unsuitable ashy/tobacco roastiness which overwhelms the palate with just like plastic toy in the mouth. Dear God, forgive 'em.

0.5 Porter de 4,5 % abv, avec orge et blé, dans cette bouteille flasque typique. Mon exemplaire était à juste une année après sa date. Couleur acajou auburn intense, à la clarté nette. Mousse beige, soyeuse,stable à 1 mm. Arômes de miel de châtaignier à outrance, cire d'abeille, cirage renapur. 1ère bouche avec miel, toffee, cirage, cire encaustique. Arrière-bouche très peu harmonieuse. 2ème avec miel de Méli, cassonade, cirage encore et toujours. Arrière-bouche sans aucune harmonie. Longueur qui ne corrige rien, mais qui aggrave son cas. Jambes fines, courtes. Levure correcte. Alcool faible, il ne peut rien pour le cirage. Finale navrante. CONCLUSION : la plus belle critique de cette bière a été faite par zarrach76, allez la lire, tout est dit. Il y fait allusion en conclusion à des biérologues qui considèrent cette bière comme une des meilleures .. là, j'étouffe de rire !! Pour les chiffres, je suis un peu plus sévère que zarrach … (2/2/2/1/1)

3.0 Sample@Ølfestival København 2018 - pours dark brown with a beige head. Sweet malty with prominent notes of sweet honey, some caramel and cocoa, hoppy backing, medium body, sweet honey laden close.

3.1 Enjoyed: Poured from a bottle into English pint (tulip) glass. Appearance: Black colour, creamy coffee-like head. Aroma: Strong honey aroma, chocolate, griotte/ liquor pralines, hint of coffee. Palate: Light body, gentle carbonation. Taste: First taste is honey, then comes chocolate, also coffee, dark fruits..and at the end bitter aftertaste. Overall impression: It is strange to smell honey and taste it, but later it becomes interesting. Very good and recommended for honey lovers.

3.4 Касковый теплый эль.Алкоголь хорошо чувствуется. Мед, травы, горечь маленькая.

3.5 Robe brun rouge très sombre, à la lumière, mais pas noir. Mousse assez faible, colorée. Nez surpuissant, ultra marqué de miel : on a l'impression de plonger la tête dans une bassine de miel et de pollen ! En bouche, l'attaque est plutôt sur le grillé, mais sans tomber dans les arômes de brûlé, vu que l'ensemble est assez léger, plutôt sec. Rapidement, les arômes mielleux du nez arrivent, et tapissent le palais, et le nez en rétro-olfaction. Le goût du miel sans aucun sucre, c'est étonnant, mais dans le type du porter. C'est presque écoeurant au nez, tellement c'en est fort, mais pas du tout en bouche, par manque total de sucre. Très original. Léger et riche, ambivalent... Dur à définir.

3.6 I really didn't like this the first time I had it but I tried another bottle of it recently and have altered my opinion. What I considered to be a cloying overpowering honey flavour became one that not only wasn't too much but felt suited to the thin texture and more bitter taste than I remember on first try. I can't imagine drinking more than one of these in a session but I won't be disappointed to try again if I come across it.

3.1 Après une St Peter's à la prune carrément décevante voir ratée, voici venir le Porter au miel de la maison... Un Porter donc avec sa versée noire transparente très sombre et quasiment aucun collet de mousse. Le nez pose clairement les choses : du miel et aussi des fleurs (bergamote, jasmin, rose...). J'ai l'impression de respirer du tabac à pipe type Caledonian Highland Cream qui est pourtant porté sur le whisky. Arômes assez inattendus et étranges donc. C'est assez gourmand, belles notes de chocolat au lait et de beurre de cacao. La complexité est absente par contre, c'est brut de chez brut et à peine on décèle les notes maltés habituelles (caramel, cassonade etc.). Il me tarde de goûter tout cela. La bouche est souple avec une très légère sécheresse, alcool faiblard (4.5%), carbonatation du même acabit, amertume légère mais longue en bouche, texture un peu huileuse, corps très moyen un peu trop sur l'eau, levures sèches. En rétro-olfaction, le miel susnommé, mais surtout ces notes florales qui en fait rappellent un peu quelques médicaments (sirops pour la toux) et breuvages aux plantes. On retrouve de la banane, de la pomme, mais j'ai l'impression d'avoir des esters aromatiques de synthèse en bouche. Alors oui, les bières comme toutes les autres boissons développent toute une gamme d'esters qui donneront des goûts de pomme, de cognac, de rhum etc., mais la plupart font vraiment naturel, et là allez savoir ici on a une impression de chimique un peu déroutante sans être forcément désagréable. Sans doute que les notes maltées manquent vraiment à l'appel et du coup, les esters se ressentent beaucoup trop sans compensation aromatique. Il en résulte un déséquilibre flagrant qui est dommageable, surtout que les notes de miel ne sont pas à mon sens de première qualité (on préfèrera la Bière des Ours ou la Barbar pour cela...). La longueur n'est pas mauvaise pour autant, le final un peu mince... Un breuvage étrange et atypique mais malheureusement pas dans le bon sens du terme. Je ne doute pas que cette bière trouvera son public (elle est même une des préférées de certains bièrologues rencontrés dans des magasins spécialisés, c'est dire), mais à mon humble avis ils sont une minorité dont je ne fais hélas pas partie... Bouteille 50cl, Boissons du Monde, Saint-Egrève.

2.5 11.10.2017 (pilsner glass, bottle) Smell: Persistent honey, hops // Mouthfeel: WATERY 1 2 [3] 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 OILY, medium carbonation // Head: Dark, quite small and made up of very small bubbles, sticky // Taste: Maltiness coated by honey extract (closer to propolis than honey) -- sourness, roasted malts -- hops overtake and leave lasting bitterness // Look: Brownish, almost dark red // Overall: Pretty interesting -- mead in beer form (this beer would be very boring otherwise). This style seems to have a lot of potential and this beer doesn't really utilise it. (honey tastes synthetic, beer is abit too watery and it lacks flavor) //

2.1 Lovely bottle unfortunately that's the most positive thing I can say. Honey with roasty malts is definitely not for me and I don't think it works well. You can say it's an acquired taste.

2.5 Divino cellars bottle(23-Sep-17) Very sweet honey medicinal aroma. Dark-reddish, low head and suds lacing. Medicinal honey malt flavour. Bitter honey medicinal finish and stark cough mixture aftertaste.

3.0 Clear dark red beer with small white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, honey. Taste is medium sweet and little bitter in the end. Lot of honey in taste. Descent beer.

1.4 Demasiado amarga. Buen cuerpo y con buen after taste de miel. La presentación de la botella es excelente....creo es el único punto que resalta.

3.0 I bought this bottle or I could say this medicine at the drink of the world in Zurich. I drank it yesterday with my wife at Lausanne. We were not sick but I could say that it is the perfect pint, if you suffer of one angina or any illness due to the cold weather. The appearance is black, troubled, thin and white foam, average carbonation. The taste is dry but you really smell the honey, it just misses the bees, you really get the impression to drink some candies for the throat, malt, some hop but the honey takes the power over the others ingredients, distasteful.

2.1 Zwart / donkerrood iets lichtdoorlatend, crèmekleurige schuimkraag, voldoende koolzuur, vrij helder.Aroma: Toffee, honing, vanille, karamel, roomboterbabbelaar.Smaak: Sterk honing met een zuurtje, vanille, karamel, toffee, graan, boterig, licht koffie en licht geroosterd. Een bitterzoete smaak met lichte rook en een florale en moutige afdronk. Lichte body, iets waterig en droog op het einde. Ik vind de vanille en honing even te aanwezig.

3.2 Halve liter fles gekocht bij Teeuwen in Tegelen. Bijna zwarte kleur, mooie plakkraag. Ruikt sterk naar honing. Smaak is ook honing, vanille, beetje zure afdronk.

3.0 Bottle. Pours a dark red-brown with an one finger off-white head. A sour aroma. Taste of English liquorice, some vanilla and coffee. Thin mouth feel a bit watery for a Porter.

2.4 Bottle from local bottle shop. Aroma is dark malt, strong honey, lots of vanilla, some roasted notes and a hint of chocolate. Flavour is medium sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Too heavy on the honey for my taste.

3.5 Розлив. Аромат медовика, вкус слабый, слегка водянистый, мёда почти не ощущается.
