3.5Rocky white head stayed on a tea coloured still body.
Sweet malt & delicate floral aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth with a lively back.
Well balanced with sweet malt, hoppy, toffee & tangy fruit tastes with a long bitter finish.
Excellent EIPA
2.0(from old notes) - Aroma : Medium toasted sweet toffee malt, heavily spiced floral hoppiness Taste : Very bitter throughout with a pronounced sulphurous undertone. This one was not up to their usual high standard!
1.8For sure the worst "IPA" beer i have drink in my life. In fact i can't consider this beer as a "IPA". The beer remind you a lot a bad version of "Pale Lager" beer. Has some unpleasand bitterness taste when you drink it and leave you one unpleasand metallic aftertaste. The carboration is nowhere and you feel you drink some "Soda" without carboration. Also i dont get fruits here. Some caramel and some malts here and there but not "Grapefruits", "Orange", "Lemon" , "Apricot" ect. Really the beer is very bad made.
Overall stay way in my opinion.

2.5500ml bottle from Waitrose, Rickmansworth and drunk on 09/02/2008. One of their better beers, and this was actually on the way to being an IPA, but there’s that same slightly astringent note that I always got with SP’s beers.

3.8On tap. Clear amber color with a medium thick white head. Caramel and floral notes and a right amount of bitterness. Traditional IPA. A very distinctive and robust beer which is so underrated.
3.0Sample@Ølfestival København 2018. An amber coloured beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, hops, citrus, grapefruit and with a bitter finish.
2.7Bottiglia da 0,33. Bevuta a Firenze
3.40,5 l bottle. Strange formal, but looks good. Beer in the glass zippy, small head. Dry hoppy aroma. Starts strong, hoppy, quite bitter notes, a bit metallical. Fruity notes of lemon and grapefruit. Finish more balanced, a bit less bitter. Not bad.

3.2500ml bottle. Clear amber colour, medium sized off-white head. Aroma is caramelly, malty, some herbal hopiness, quite sweet. Taste is caramelly, herbal hoppy, dandelion. Medium body, below average carbonation. Drinkable
2.9Golden color with a thin foamy film.
Nose. Weak, malt, a little caramel, a floral-herbal hops typical for English styles.
Taste. Sweetish, caramel, a little fruity (citrus), and a long bitter pleasant hop aftertaste with caramel notes. Typical for IPA.
3.9This is a traditional English IPA, as opposed to more modern interpretations of the genre. In accordance, you get a clear, light brown ale with a fairly minimal head and a relatively slim hoppy (slightly floral) nose on top of a deeper, malty one. Bitterness is assertive and juicey, but doesn't come with a kick. Sweetness (on the tongue) is very restrained, just sufficient to provide an overall impression of roundness. Yes, I like it a lot - certainly rather more than most raters here. But perhaps ESB needs to be in your 'beer heritage' for you to agree with me, and I can understand why modern IPA aficionados might wonder what this beer is trying to be. Nevertheless, I strongly urge people to sample this one with an open mind - you might just discover a treasure.
3.2Sample@Ølfestival København 2018 - fuzzy amber coloured pour with a white head. Citrus fruity hoppy and malty, some grapefruit and tangerine, citrus rind, pine, some caramel, light to medium body, resinous subdued hoppy bitter finish.
2.9Bottle at Scottish pub in Keila. Pours dark golden yellow colour. No head. Sweet, malty, hoppy, slightly fruity, bit corny aroma. Slightly hoppy and malty beginning. Bitter in the middle. Very bitter finish. Bitter aftertaste. No crispness at all. Reminds hoppy english ale. Low or rather undercarbobated, medium bodied, slightly buttery or oily pale ale. Not good, but not very bad either. Not an IPA.
2.4As an IPA, this is my worst experience so far. This is a mix of a bad lager with a bad pilsner. Simply below average. Don't how the SAQ is not ashamed of selling this.
3.8Fles 50cl thuis. Zeer hoppig, bitter, wat scherp. Typisch English Ale smaak aanwezig. (3-2013).
1.7Bottle. Light amber pour. Bitter character (as in the style). Sharp hops that I found a bit too skunky. Same for the aroma. Sticky mouthfeel. Not for me.
3.2Bottle - 500ml. Pours a limpid, golden, carbonated body with a thin, lasting, white creamy head. Malty aroma with bready, nutty and grassy hints. Hops are barely noticeable. Its well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries herbal, grainy, bready, and woody notes. Ends with a decent bitter/woody finish. Average IPA.
3.3Bottiglia.
3.1Pours hazy, fiery orange amber, topped with medium sized offwhite head, not too lasting. Malty nose with lots of biscuits, slight soy sauce and a bit of dry fruits. Malty start with mild sweetness, biscuits and caramel. Moderate bitterness, grassy and herbal. Quite lasting aftertaste. Sharp and a bit medicinal. English style IPA, but not the nicest.

3.9Bottle at home from Waitrose. A good pour and an aroma of bitter hops, that stampeded across the taste buds on the first sip. This was all about the bitterness in what was a true to form English IPA. And I loved it! The taste buds were jangling and the well balanced malt resulted in a perfect mouth feel.
Poco corpo, aromi poco accennati.
3.4Bottle, Waitrose. Very English this one, amber coloured, nice malt base, earthy spicy slightly woody hop, quite bittersweet. Bitter, almost sharp. Quite nice.
3.3Fruity, malty, sweet, caramelish. Well balanced. Very nice result from the homebrewing kit, will brew it again.
3.7Bottle, 50 cl, O'Connor's, Uppsala. Pleasant, well balanced IPA in the British style.
