3.2 Fruits, malt in aroma. Amber, haze with great head. Little sweetnesses, fruits. Medium body, smooth, high carbonation.
5.0 meilleure bouteille du monde
3.0 Mistig goudgeel bier met behoorlijke witte schuimkraag. Aroma van hooi, gist, mout, zure appel. Bitter, licht zuur. Licht prikkelend co2.
3.8 the aroma is fruity and spicy with hints of orange, dry wine, bisquit, yeast and spicy herbs... the taste is fruity and malty with notes of sweet citrus, light wine, yeast, garden fruits and spices... sweet, bitter and dry aftertaste...
3.2 F: big, white, long lasting. C: deep gold, light hazy. A: malty, honey, bit of orange peels, bit of spicy, coriander, yeasty, caramel, fruity. T: malty, fruity, honey, warming alcohol, spicy, coriander, grassy, caramel, medium body, medium carbonation, not bad, even enjoyed a little but boring, 0,5l bottle from Cora Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.
3.4 Pours golden, rather clear, with a small, dirtied white cap, moderate retention. Nose has Belgian sugars, some yellow apple, soft quince, generic peppery yeasts, faint cider-like acidity, faint grass. Fruity taste, with a nice profile consisting of orchard fruit, the typical apple, pear, quince, with soft, tart-ish notes of green apricot. Soft citrus, too. Traditional sweet maltiness follows, slightly sugary, but not cloying, with a pretty mellow spicy finish, but it does have a bit of bitterness. Aftertaste has fruity esters and generic spiciness. Medium body and carbonation. A nice Belgian offering, but it feels "domesticated", ergo definitely forgettable.
3.2 From old tasting notes. Cloudy amber orange color. Light zesty butterscotch malt aroma. Bittersweet toffeeish flavor with lots of maltiness and spicy hops. Bittersweet dry finish. Sweet cloying aftertaste.
3.8 Medium toast and malt, a little yeast, touch of honey, herbal. Large, heavy stone-line container. Somewhat complex, but mostly smooth with a unique combination of flavors that works well.
3.3 St. Denise Grand Cru, 7,6% ABV, 50 cl. Corpo medio, ben carbonata.
4.6 From Alcampo. In La Trappe chalice. Watching Silicon Valley 2x08-09. Ive enjoyed it a lot. The alcohol is well hidden and it doesnt feel sugar at all but smooth and pleasant
3.1 Hazy colour, white foam. Medium carbonation. Sweet nose (spices: anise), bitter hoppy finish.
3.1 Bottle shared at the Weekend in the woods 2015 with daje, Simonsen and some other guys Golden hazy, white head. Smell of yeast esters, light malts, herbs. Moderate sweet, herbal, some cardemomme and light malts. Moderate bitter finish
3.9 7,6% alc. 50 cl bottle bought at Alcampo, served in La Trappe chalice. Pours copperish amber with huge ivory head. Aroma is orange, iron filings, cookie dough, white flowers. Round, full-bodied, slightly sweet and slightly bitter. Long lasting. Not bad, although it seems too expensive to me (6,30€ per half litre). I agree that it comes with a nice bottle one might keep for water, though.
3.5 Average frothy creamy white head. Good lacing. Fully diminishing. Dark yellow clear thick body. Aroma: flowers, honey, moderate hoppy, light bread, metal, alcohol. Initial flavor: moderate sweet (fruity and honey) and very light bitter. Final flavor: moderate sweet very light acidic; average duration. Palate: metallic light astringent finish, lively carbonation, watery/oily texture, light medium body. Slight acidic presence balances sweetness, which reminds of orange. Fits well in the style. Well hidden alcohol. 120s usd15
3.6 Spændende og god Abbey Tripel. Lidt mere bitter end andre øl af typen. Frisk smag.
3.1 Bottle. Clear golden colour, small white head. Fruiry aroma. Taste is sweet, syrupy, fruity.
3.4 75cl bottle, labeled as grand cru. Pours unclear warm blonde. Small white head. Smell is sweet ( somewhat spiced sugary sweetness ) Taste is sharp, bit bitter. Definate sweet undertone ( Sugar, mild spices ) yeasty towards the end. Agressive carbonation that really triggers the bitterness. Somewhat malty underneath the other aspects. OK
3.5 500ml ceramic flip-top bottle with cap as "St. Sebastiaan Grand Cru". Yes I know, bizarre. Clear bright golden color. Small size, white head, stays. Fruity, sweet, perfume, malty in aroma. Smells nice. Malty, very fruity, sweet, bit of wild strawberries, perfume in taste. Sweet malts and fruity in aftertaste. Nice and crisp.
3.4 500ml ceramic bottle (Beer Express, Tallinn) Super fruity aroma, tons of esters. Alas just a hint of tomato once or twice. Pale orange, small head. Lovely perfumey belgian ale taste, pale malts, pleasant herbal light hops. Quite simple, but very pleasant belgian.
3.4 Flaske. Disig gylden farge. Lavt karbonert. Stor hvit skumtopp . Smaker lys malt, lys frukt. Meget lettdrikkelog
3.7 Bottle from Brussels care of a friend. Clear quite rich looking golden amber, with a medium fluffy head. Looks like a tripel but the nose is light and fruit, white grape, Tripel like malt profile, sweet cereal grain, apricot, dried apricot, dried fig, sweet and sticky fruit. Taste is white grape, apricot, barley cereal grain, grain husky, dried fruit, dried apricot, sultana, fig, fruity, slight sweet wine vinous. Very nice.
3.1 Bottle pour. Hazy golden with a large foamy white head. Aroma is citrus and light malts. Medium oily body. Somewhat initial bitter with a small sweet finish.
