The little sister of “The Spark”: Shiny is back!
For not long at all, a mysterious, previously hidden combatant has made itself known. But it did not stay long in the city, as, just a few days ago, there was talk in the underground of a new beer creation, which has been creating a frenzy on the streets. “Shiny’s” IPA is clearly different from the stamp of the brave resistance brewer, but it nevertheless has the same goal: Revolution!
It is called “The Sister” as a camouflage and protective shield for itself and its mother. Trust and openness had already cost too many innocents their lives ...
There are many legends about the young woman. It is said that she was born outside of the city and had to flee the country with her mother, as there was a house search. She brought her profession – she had the same talent for brewing as her older brother – with her on her travels.
At a small farm, she had a lot of time to perfect the craft of beer brewing. There, far from the city brewing units, she worked on her masterwork. In her Session IPA, you taste the distance from the city, the fruity-intensive intensiveness, and the freshness of the early year in the country. When, one night, she was betrayed, and the Prohibition police burned down the farm to its foundation stones, she fled with her mother in the last moment thanks to an old secret passage on the farm.
In this night, as well, their mother told her everything about her brother, the revolution, the play for power in the city and the corruption that lurked behind every corner. After she got her mother into safety, “The Sister“ sallied out in the direction of the city, in order to support the resistance and to make her contribution as a part of the Steam Brew Group.

50cl can. Pours pale gold, fairly hazy, with fine white foam. Aroma is citrus, floral, cream. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium bitter, with just a little underlying sweetness. Final is average.
0.5 l can from local 'LIDL', best before July 2023. Slightly hazy, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, gently fruity-floral, slightly grassy aroma of lemon peel, butter, honey and pineapple. Gently sweet, slightly malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral and a bit grassy taste of grains, butter, honey, lemon peel and pineapple, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Solid ale, but too buttery to be really enjoyable.
Colore giallo pallido e schiuma abbondante. Il profumo è debolmente luppolato ma nel gusto è maggiormente intenso: si avvertono note fruttate, in particolare frutti tropicali ma anche agrumi. Fresca e beverina, corpo leggero, ideale da bere in estate con un finale secco ed amaro.
Pours clear and pale, large head. Good lacing. Aroma of musty lager malts, and floral hops. Crisp malts, thin, floral and citrusy hops. Some pine. Weirdly tastes like a lager, mixed with a session IPA. Fairly thin with medium carbonation.

Kupljena u Lidlu, 4.9% alk. Jedno od onih piva u Lidlu koje su zbilja dobre. Čudo kak se tako nešto može nabaviti u Lidlu za male pare. Potpuno isplativa piva.
Fruity flavors are well blended together. For a supermarket beer this is ok. Still nothing special.
Good foam on a clear lighter gold body. Weak faint hoppiness on the nose, almost not there. Tastes of soft chewy caramel, wet with vague hops somewhere in the vicinity. Sessionable sure, but so is tap water.
lattina 50 cl, schiuma bianca fine persistente, colore giallo limone torbido, al naso cereali leggero agrumi e frutta tropicale, in bocca uguale all’orma e leggermente sapida, corpo leggero, carbonazione moderata, amaro moderato, secca nel finale. Quasi insapore, scarsina. c. Lidl Luino 06.08.22
Liquide doré transparent avec mousse abondante et légère. Nez malté et fruité. En bouche, on retrouve le côté fruité avec des fruits à noyau puis immédiatement une grosse amertume âcre et métallique, horrible !!!
Can 0,50L. A bit hazy golden color with thin fizzy white head. Aroma is malty, fruity, citrusy, herbal. Taste is light bitter with notes of stone fruits and malt with herbal, light bitter finish. Light and crispy summer beer. Not bad at all.

Aroma of strawberry or mango sorbée of all things.
Taste of mango, sour, and a lot of bitterness to balance it out.
The mouthfeel is very light and watery.
All in all an incredibly fruity beer. Definitely recommend to try it out.
Can from Lidl. Hazy gold in colour, with a slight, white, head and plenty of fizz. Lager malts, a hint of citrus hop and yeasty stone fruits, before a moderately bitter finish. Ok.
Can. Slightly hazy pale golden colour with a medium fine pored white head, nose is malty, citric and soapy with notes of grapefruit, passion fruit and pine, taste is slightly sweet and citric with a quite short dry finish and a rather light body.
50cl blik. Helder goudgeel van kleur, fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur is maltose en citrus. Smaak is zoet, maltose, thee en citrus. Licht body en veel koolzuur.
Aroma : Ultra light caramel malt, weird strong herby/vegetal aroma; notably Coriander & Brussel Sprouts. Smells bad frankly! Appearance : Touch hazy, weak looking translucent yellow. Taste : Thin watery body. Light hoppy bitterness upfront with a hint of sweet caramel in background. Main flavour is as aroma a light herbyness. Not great!
Slightly hazy golden color with a pinkie-high white foam. Light to medium body, average carbonation, some traces of lacing. Malty aroma of passion fruit, citruses, pine, peach, herbs and some unpleasant acidic scent in the background. Mild taste of faint citruses, malt, light hops, grass, yeast, cardboard and minerals. Slightly bitter finish. Fine, but not necessarily an IPA.

Esta é uma cerveja cor clara e e limpida. Cerveja leve (pessoalmente gosto de cerveja com mais corpo). Sente-se o lupulouito levemente

Lime tanginess. Golden amber pour with decent head. Finish is pretty tangy. Not really great by any measure. Can at a supermarket in Cartagena, Colombia.
Zachte licht hoppige dorstlessende milde IPA. Licht citrus/manderijn fruitig met een moutig zoetje. Met een klein bittertje en zuurtje op het eind. Licht wazig geel met een waterige structuur en een witte schuimkraag. Overall dorstlessend en drinkt makkelijk weg. Blik III '22 # Proefglas

Sensory Session #51: clear, pale golden color and a nice white head. Very picturesque. Nice aromas of tangerine, grapefruit and flavors of grapefruot-peel, piney. Dry. Bitter hoppy finish. Short finish. Looses carbonation rather quick.
I get totally warm from the inside when I drink this amazing beer. My first time was today at a friend's house and I drank from a "blikkie" as we call it in Dutch, it means, can.
500 ml can bought in Kaufland in Poland. Pours hazy pale yellow with a large, fine and lasting white head. Lacing present. It looks great in a glass. Aroma is nice, very fruity, mostly citrus and some grass. That's where positives end unfortunately. Taste doesn't follow the aroma, it is not as hoppy, some wet carton, it is closer to a lager than an IPA. Empty, watery, short flacour, high carbonation. Nothing special, cannot recommend.
Can. Pours golden clear, big white head that lasts for a while. Aroma is citrusy, tangerine, something weird int the background, reminds me a dry dirty clout/towel. Taste is medium bitter. Medium body, light bitter finish.
Aus der Dose (bbe 12.08.2022) im 2022-02 getrunken. Das goldgelbe, leicht trübe Ale startet mit Pinien-Hopfennoten mit einer etwas schwächeren Citrusnote dahinter. Am Gaumen finden sich die Aromen wieder. Für ein Session IPA hat es ein recht robusten Körper. Nach hinten kommt eine leichte Orangennote durch. Kein schlechtes Ale aber nicht ganz mein Stil.
Can from Aldi, Gorgie, Edinburgh. Pours lightly hazed yellow gold with a thick white head. Aromas of light citrus, light pine. Taste is light grassy hops, earthy malt and citrus again. Light bitter finish.
Can at home picked up from Lidl. A translucent golden yellow coloured pour with a lasting sticky white head. Aroma iscorn, straw, weak piney hop, grassy citrus, earthy grains. Flavour is composed of dry grains, spicy stewed hop pine, wet grass, spicy finish. Palate is light grainy, .
