Steamworks Pale Ale

Plenty of British Crystal malt in the grist lends this ale its rich color, its caramel maltiness, and adds the occasional whiff of toffee to the nose. An addition of American and German hops to the kettle at the end of the boil is used to suffuse our Pale Ale with a gently spicy hop finish.

3.4 Creamy white good mostly lasting head. Yellow colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. moderate bitter flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

3.0 Unpraktische 0,33 l Flasche. Moderate 5,2 % Alk. Sehr hopfiger, allerdings vergleichsweise moderat fruchtiger und bitterer Geschmack. Viel feinperlige Kohlensäure. Brauchbar, aber etwas eindimensional und wird zum Schluss etwas gallig.

3.1 330ml dark bottle, appears to be filtered - no residue, from Beerwulf. Beer brewed in Germany at Steamworks Europe. Pale ale with enough crystal malt to add malty/toffee flavours without drying out the beer. Nice. Hops are modern, but used softly, so they don't over power the malts. Yeah, I'm good with this. I'd be happy to have this again. [3.1]

3.0 Bottle I guess, Goblet ZG. Hazy golden body, white head. Oxidized lemon candy aroma. Light lean taste, lemongrass, light bitterness. Meh. If able to rerate fresh, I will.

3.0 Rating No. 10400 Bottled 330ml.-at Goblet Zagreb. Unclear pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, light herbal nose. Sweet malty, caramel, old hops and weak fruity with bitter finish. Not fresh unfortunately.

3.4 0.473l can. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma of malt, hops and citrus. Taste is bitter and little sweet.

3.6 The body is copper, clear, thin and white foam, normal carbonation. This bottle is coming Amstein/St-Légier, savouring it during this winter, at home, in Epalinges. It is aa classical and simple pale ale, light and refreshing, fairly bitter, a bit resinous, a bit citrus, there is a small side of tobacco, dry malt, a bit watery.

3.2 33 cl fles. Helder goudgeel van kleur, fijne romige witte schuimkraag. De geur is mango en mout. Smaak is zoet, citrus, mout en mango. Medium lichaam, veel koolzuur.

3.1 Flaske. Direkte efter Garda land. Desværre ikke kold nok. Flot gul pilsnerfarvet øl. Duften er sødlig maltet. Smagen er mere ovre i makro, ok.

4.6 A very tasty beer but some may find it a bit more hoppy than the Fuggles IPA I enjoy the pale ale but prefer WhiteRockBeach pale ale which is fruitier & not hoppy

3.4 Bottle from Beerwulf. Aroma is fruity hops with pale malt, some pine, citrus, soft tropical fruits, grapefruit, touch of caramel. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Modest in stature, but pleasant APA, gets the job done.

3.3 33cl bottle from Iperconad, Rimini, Italy. Pours partially hazy, brilliant orange gold, with limited foam. Aroma is hoppy and citrus. Body is average, with good carbonation. Taste is fairly bitter, with some sweetness behind. Finish is average.

1.5 Piwo klarowne o białej pianie, szybko opada bez lacingu. W aromacie delikatny chmiel, w smaku słaba goryczka. Piwo pite blisko terminu, nieco utlenione.

3.0 Bottle. Slightly hazy golden color, thick white head. Floral, fruiy, spicy herbal nose, dampened by the thick head. Dry taste, very bitter taste. Floral, spicy herbal aftertaste, accompanied by a rather harsh bitterness. Fresh carbonation, full body.

3.5 Golden color with huge growing white head. Hoppy and fruity aroma. Taste is well balanced, having light bitterness and sweet finish. Nice pale ale

3.7 Pours a good head and looks like a slightly cloudy pilsener in the glass. I find the bitterness and the aroma well suited to each other - with some peach, some pine, a suggestion of freshly cut wood (or resin, perhaps). Maybe the beer is a tad too heavily carbonated, but that's all I can complain about. The overall character is very refreshing.

3.1 Ein klassisches Pale Ale, das alle Stücke spielt - ohne überladen zu wirken. Angenehme, frische Hopfigkeit in einem Bett von feinem soliden Ale.

2.5 Leider hat Steamworks das gleiche Problem wie Stone. Auch hier zerstört eine herbe Hopfenbitterkeit, die sofort im Antrunk spürbar ist, jede Chance für das Bier sich zu entfalten. Im Aroma kommen kurz Orangenfrüchte durch, im Geschmack grasigen Noten und ein bisschen Mandarine und Grapefruit. Dann erinnert einen sie stumpfe Bitterkeit daran, dass interessanter Geschmack hier nicht erwünscht ist...

3.8 Golden haze pour with medium white creamy head. Floral notes, tropical fruit and bread. Taste is sweet tropical fruit, flowers, pineapple, cereal, followed by soft bitter aftertaste. Super easy to drink. Best steam works so far.

3.6 Pours a clear, medium gold/light amber coloration with a medium, fizzy head. Smells of sweet, biscuity malt and citrus/tropical hops, with notes of tangerine, mango and just a hint of pine. Taste follows the nose, with a good balance of biscuity, caramel, slightly grainy malt and citrus/tropical hops. Notes of grapefruit, tangerine, mango and a hint of pine. Also has a light herbal and medium floral note to it. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some pine lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. Decent old school Pale Ale that perhaps starts out a little too sweet, but finishes with a good bitterness. A little too floral for my taste though.

3.3 Canned. A clear golden coloured beer with a white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, hops, citrus and with a dry bitter finish.

3.7 On tap @ Urban Piqniq. Aroma of tropical fruit, ripe fruit and yeast. Pours cloudy golden color with thin creamy white head, good lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with mild sweet biscuit malt and faint barnyard note, following is grassy, floral and herbal with mild medicinal note, while finish is pretty bitter. Light to medium body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Refreshing and a bit funky...
