3.2 From the Adventskalender. Brown with a creamy, off-white head that lingers. Malty aroma full of candy, brown sugar, nuts, and yeasty dark bread. Lacks a fruit component, but pleasant. Taste is less nuanced, sweet with a light metallic bitterness at the finish. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Okay.
3.4 W aromacie nuty owocowe, ciemne słody. W smaku lekko kwaskowe. Znów nuty owocowe, lekko wytrawne. Do tego niska goryczka. Jest też trochę nut chlebowych i lekko zbożowych. Piana bardzo wysoka, drobna. Ale nie jest przegazowane.
2.5 Robe ambrée cuivrée, limpide. Mousse beige, crémeuse épaisse, bonne tenue. Arômes chocolat réglisse métallique. Goût sucré moyen, amertume faible. Texture légèrement sirupeuse. Carbonatation très fine, un peu faible. Médiocre.
3.6 Aroma of coffee, chocolate & cookies. Clear brown with a long lasting creamy light brown head. Light sweet with a light dry finish. Medium body, slick texture & soft carbonation.
3.1 Kastanje med brunt skum. Sød duft af humle. Meget let bitterhed og sødme. Smag af kaffe og chokolade.
3.5 Clear red-brown, a good light tan head with a good retention. Aroma: Malt: Caramel, toasted bread, a bit of smoke. Herbal hops and orange as well as some esters. Mouth: Quite sweet but with a fresh fruity astringency. A bit more sticky towards the end. Medium body, moderate carbonation.
3.0 Goeie nasmaak lekkere afdronk
3.5 Udseende: mørk amber til brun farve. Klar med let brunligt skum. Aroma: masser af sødme, noter af karamel/sirup/toffee. Florale og jordagtige noter fra humlen. Smag: fyldig krop. Medium karboneret. Masser af malt- og karamelnoter. Let bitterhed.
2.4 Bottle. Clear brown, off-white head. Malty, bread, caramel. Metallic finish. Medium dry, moderate bitterness. Low carbonation. Not for me.
2.9 Clear brown, large beige head. Malt, yeast and a little spice in the aroma. Quite a æot of co2 in the beginning. Malty, caramely and yeasty flavour. Ok buy feels too light.
Fles @ Proefglas.
3.1 Keg at De Beiaard, Amsterdam on 14/12/2009. A pleasant dubbel. Some dark malt and dried fruit notes. A little lighter in body than the average.
3.9 Aroma; fruitful caramel fudges, softish grassy hops, note of yeast and bun. Look; good fawn head on veiled mahogany body. Taste; soft malts, caramel fudge, nectarine sugar, soft hops, dry syrup, spices, mild floral yeast, and leading to a balanced soft n dry finish. Feel; nice body n co². Overall; good beer. Fine after dinner sipper. [čištění garažů, 33cl lahvové pivo, koup@ finském obchodě]
3.4 Mahogany coloured, medium large head, medium-bodied, ripe fruits, malty, plums.
3.3 Ganske god brown ale
3.6 A malty yeast driven beer, a mix of american brown and belgian yeast. A bit clouded and muddled to be great though. Online beerwulf
2.5 Thermen Dilbeek.
2.9 Braun, feine Krone, voller malziger Körper, Zimt, Karamell, Lakritz. Rundes Dubbel.
2.8 Nose. Dry, Caramel, some fruit, roasted malt. Taste: Dry, Malt, caramel, notes of roasted malt moderate sweetness. In the aftertaste, a little bitterness.
3.1 0,33 l Flasche.
3.5 On tap in mechelin. Served too cold for my liking. Though a very nice dubbel. Malty and fruity and not too boozy.
3.9 0.33 bottle. Beautiful huge beige foam, chestnut- red color. It smells delicious dried fruit, very roundy, it's okay. Full body, good sense of sip. Taste caramel malt, small sweets, plums, dried fruity delicate finish, similar to double-bock's. Delicious stuff, specifically aromatic, delicious, (candy) sugar did not spoil it.
4.2 0.33l bottle from Belga Sörmester. Dark brown body, with chestnut and a red. Light brown head, fairly persistent. Exciting and harmonic aroma, mixture of fruits (apple, peach), chocolate and nuts. Also a bit of refreshing sourness. Taste is similarly complex, starts with nuts, moderate cocoa and a bit of caramel. Fresh sweet-sourish fruits in the background. Medium-strong carbonation with fizzy palate in the beginning, but then it quickly vanishes and palate becomes mild and silky. Aftertaste is moderate, mild, dry and bittersweet. Very good.
3.4 Rimelig god og velsmagende øl. Tilpas fylde og bitterhed. God aroma. Kedeligt udseende.
3.2 Copenhagen 45/10 2019. 33 cl bottle from Aldi, Frederikssundsvej, Kbh. NV. Drawing of a Church Window with a priest with a funny hat on the label. Dark brown background. Sporting a World Beer Silver Award. Pours clear, maroon with a big, off-white head. Crawling up the sides of the beer. Settles as 1,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is medium-intense, sweetish, malty with an odd spicy, burnt streak. Burnt caramel, toffee. Lightly roasted , dark malts. Medium carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, lightly tinging texture. Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly more moderate, herbal bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a herbal touch. Lingers for a bit. Quite good for a beer picked up in Aldi. A bit on the sweet side and unbalanced. But solid.
3.4 Nice, if straightforward and uncomplicated Belgian brown. Sweet spicy notes on the nose, and just a slight bit less complexity than the nose makes you expect.
3.2 A belgian, copper, clear Brown Ale with light, creamy head. Aroma is caramel, malt, coffee, chocolate, light prune. Taste is bitter sweet.
