1.8Bottle in the Air New Zealand lounge. Clear with the color of the urine of a mildly dehydrated individual. Small, fading white head. Sweet grainy, bready aroma, some corn. Flavor is on the sweeter size, corny, grainy, mild grassy hops on the finish. Palate is weak, fizzy carbonation. Meh.
2.9Bottle - Skunky grains. Clear gold with a rich white head. Light skunky grains and some sweetness. Very European, but not great.
2.9F: huge, white, average to good retention.
C: pale gold, clear.
A: malt, grassy, floral, light bread, hint of butter.
T: malt, light floral, grassy, bread, straw, very clean taste, medium body, medium carbonation, not bad at all, refreshing beer, 330ml bottle from New World supermarket near airport in Nadi in Fiji.
2.4300ml can. Pours yellow with a thick white head. Sweet, grass, apricot, little acidity towards the end. Crisp, clean and pretty boring.
2.2330ml Flasche. Klar und golden mit großer Schaumkrone. Getreidig. Leichter Körper. Mild. Süßlich.
3.4En noget kedelig pilsner, døje den er faktisk temmelig tynd. En billig øl der ikke er værd at drikke.
1.7Needed something pure (aside from sugar after the 3rd edition). Golden color. Diminished off-white head. Grain and floury aromas. Flavors follow, with a touch of perfume. At least it’s a small can. 12/10
2.7Pleasant, slightly bitter taste. Moderately carbonated. Drinkable, but nothing to write home about.
2.4Tall thin green can on a New Zealand Airline flight from London to Los Angeles on 25th April 2016. Typical lager/pilsner look, golden and bright with a fast fading white head. Very little aroma or taste, but refreshing and clean. A little more grain than hop in the brew flavour wise maybe and unoffenceive f a might boring.
3.1Not a huge fan of lagers but this is very sessionable, pours a clear gold color with a lasting white well laced head. Notes of malt and yeast on the nose a crisp clean taste slightly grassy with notes of yeast and malt. Lighter body with no aftertaste.
2.6Bottled. Clear golden colour with a white head. Aroma and flavour of citrus, straw, malt and hops.
1.8Not undrinkable. It’s actually quite charming in it’s own way. You know, like when you see a chimp that has painted lipstick on his lips... it’s kinda like, "stoopid", but ya gotta laugh. Well, that pretty much sums up this beer. Give the chimp a cuddle, for fuck’s sake..But then, maybe I’m the half-wit because there seems to be a lot of primates drinking this shit.
2.4I haven’t got any idea why this should be sold amongst "Special beers" (where I found it). A rather plain and grassy tasting Lager, nothing special.
3.2Dorada muy clara con blanca espuma muy abundante. Rico aroma citrico y malteado. Muy ligera y suave, superbebible. Mantiene el buen tono del aroma, tirando algo a dulce. Media carbonatacion. Buena lager
3.0A go-to clean, zippy, thirst-quenching, inoffensive watery pale lager - as usual the more I drink of the bottle and the warmer it gets, the less I like it, but it’s better than most in this category.
3.8Bottle @ home shared with Thompson. Clear golden color, small to average sized white head. Smell and taste malts, quite crisp and clean, a slight grainy sweetness and a nice malt bitterness. I must say I just got home from an intensive workout so I was thirsty as hell. Anyway, I liked it.
2.9Small white dense head.. clear golden yellow colour.... smell malt yeasty like a typical lager same for the taste. Shared by benzai...
2.3Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- ahh, the green glass skunkiness
Appearance- Straw yellow with a large white head.
Taste- Skunky and rather dull, not good
palate- A light bodied brew with medium carbonation.
Overall-Avoid this beer, it is dull, skunky and very forgettable,
Overall: Hardly exciting, but not at all distasteful. This is the beer we should have been drinking in college. Doesn’t require a lot of thought, goes Dow fast and easy
2.3Bottle pours a clear pale straw/golden with a large white head. Aroma of skunked grassy hops. Malt and yeast flavor, yep that’s a pale lager. I’d take it over say bud light.
1.8not really getting a whole lot of difference between this and the premium, even side by side. both passable pale lagers, but not anything to return to.
3.0Where and how: bottle 330 ml
Aroma green bottle issue up front. Musky wet cloth, but not too heavy as there are worse cases. Lighter, herbal notes with grainy backing.
Appearance :
Top: bright white top, sparse lace.
Base: straw gold.
Palate : mid-lighter body, lighter carbonation but I would not call it flat.
Taste: soft feel with semi dry finish. Mild hop presence.
other notes beyond green bottle issues this is fairly refreshing offering.
3.4Very good light crisp lager. Like a European lager.....................................
1.7Pale yellow with a faint white head. Skunkish aroma. Corn. Grass. Light and watery. Sweet. Bleh.
1.8Bottle from Voldby. Pours light yellow with a white head. The taste is slight sweetish with notes of hops, grain. Slight creamy mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Sweet hoppy finish.
1.8Flaske fra Gl. Strand Øllagerjuli-14: bryggeriet sier "one of the purest beers we can make, no additives, no preservatives etc...". My verdict: hardly any flavour or taste, just plain boring. NZ brewers have proved they can do a lot better than this.
2.9This light yellow colored beer has a mildly sweet aroma. It has the subtle flavor of sweet orange. It is very crisp and very mild.
2.3Clear golden beer, small head with a bad retention. Grain aromas rule over the others, the taste reveals a light body, watery texture, standard carbonation and a regular flavor, like a macro lager with no specific particularities.
1.9Bottle @ Home. Pours yellow with a fading white head. Aroma of malt, light corn, light grass. Flavor is malt, corn, white sugar, cardboard, hints of grass. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation. 080514
2.9330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pretty standard lager fare. Pale yellow. Malty, sweet. Ok.
2.8This isn’t a bad beer for what it is. Tastes are mostly grain, grass, a VERY slight hint of that horrible Heineken taste, but not enough to ruin it. Sweet finish. Drinkable, but I’d prefer a good Pilsner over this.
