We brew this beer entirely with domestic organic ingredients - in particular Laufener Landweizen, an ancient grain, grown and malted at the Stiegl-Gut Wildshut.

3.0 Bottle, from Beer52. Hazy orange brown, thin short lived white head and low condition. sweet and malty initially in the nose, with some delicate yeastiness and a touch of fruitiness. Full bodied and malty sweet in the mouth with a slight hint of toffee and gentle fruity bubblegum notes. Finish has a chalky yeast bitterness and a faint suggestion of strawberry fruitiness.

3.2 340 ml bottle. Pours a thick hazy amber with light head. Aromas of earthy metallic hops and brewery floor wort. Flavors of bready cereal malts and spicy, herbal hops.

3.2 Cloudy amber pour. Aroma of buttery malts with hints of honey and light spices. Flavour of malt with a more bready finish. Lingering grainy aftertaste.

2.8 Bottled, 330ml from Beer 52, Edinburgh. Clouded brownish gold with white head. Clouded brown gold with white head. Mixed bag this one, initially vanilla, buttery type flavours, caramel then wheaty, cereal notes. Some sweetness, some estery fruit. Not sure really but okay.

3.3 [33cl bottle from Beer52.] A hazy amber pour with a fast fading white head; yeasty aroma; bready body with some sour grains, honey and yeast; then a bittersweet finish with some butterscotch. Sharp and refreshing.

2.7 Bottle from Beer52, cloudy brown with a fast-settling foam and an earthy and lightly estery nose. Sweet and malty-dry, a touch of estery fruit, a slight yeasty creaminess and a light earthy-hoppy finish. Not bad, but not good either.

3.1 Hazy dark gold, big white creamy head, malty slightly fruity aroma, medium body, wheat, cereal, malt, dry slightly bitter finish

3.5 Pours hazy gold with small off white head. Aroma is like Weizen without the yeast. Lightly jammy, lemon and spice. Medium bodied. Taste is wheat cereal, malt sweetness, slightly tangy, jammy hops, lemon and white pepper finish. Touch of bitterness. Actually rather interesting one this.

3.2 Bottle. Pours a dark gold colour with a tight white head, light hop aroma with some fruit, the taste is medium bitterness and with a dry bitter finish.

2.5 Hmm, wouldn’t rush back. Amber pour, white head, caramel malt, yeasty sourness, lively carbonation. Sweet, wheaty but not particularly pleasant.

3.3 Brilliant white tight head on a cloudy amber coloured body. Sweet malt & cereal aroma. Medium bodied, tingly over the tongue & clean in the back. Malt, sweet, berry, caramel, jam & biscuit tastes. Tasty one

3.2 Bottle. Foamy, large white head. Deep gold pour. Sweet malt and citrus nose. Body is sorta weizen-like, with plenty of wheat, sugary malts. Bit dull and stale in the finish, but not too bad. Decent.

3.2 08.09.2021 - 0.5l bottle from billa in vienna. pours a hazy deep golden with a small head. aroma of grains, slight fruity hops. flavour of grains, plums, citrus. reminds of a weizen.

3.3 Uit de fles. Ruikt kruiden, moutig. Smaakt fris zoetig. Beetje moutig, kruiden.

2.9 Optisch gibt sich dieses Zwickl trübe und bernsteinfarben bis ocker. Die weiße, mittelporige Schaumkrone zeigt sich sehr stabil und auch sehr gut haltbar. In der Nase vernimmt man, etwas verhalten, leichtes Getreidemalz und fruchtig-hefige Aromen. Im Antrunk deutlich rezent, etwas grob, jedoch mit einem hefig-weichen Malzcharakter. Der Mittelteil überzeugt mit einem vollmundigen Körper. Sowohl die leichte Malzigkeit und eine deutliche fruchtige Hefekomponente deuten geschmacklich eher auf ein Weizenbier. Und ja... bei der Herstellung dieses Bieres wird auch Weizenmalz eingebraut. Die Gesamtaromatik ist durchaus stimmig, aber ich weiß nicht recht, ob ich dazu Zwickl oder Weizen sagen soll. Es ist weder das eine, noch das andere. Für mein Geschmacksempfinden würde ich es aber eher in die Kategorie Weizenbier stecken. Vor allem, weil ich, wenn ich Zwickl erwarte, nicht an das deutliche Fruchtaroma der Hefe denke. Im Abgang lässt die Aromatik sehr langsam nach und man hat definitiv das Gefühl, an einem "komischen" Weizen getrunken zu haben. Also gut... schlecht ist es nicht, die Aromen sind gut kombiniert, die ganze Sache zeigt sich auch vollmundig, aber die Bezeichnung "Zwickl" täuscht über ein halbseidenes Weizen hinweg. Weder Fisch, noch Fleisch, aber auch nicht unbedingt schlecht.

3.6 Ciekawy zbożowy aromat. Mętne, gęsta piana. W smaku zboże, drożdże, nieco kwasowości, obecne nuty cytrusowe. Posmak gorzki. Finisz wytrawny. Dobrze skomponowane, bardzo pijalne.

3.1 #3763 Cloudy, deep gold, high white head. Malty aroma. Taste is neutral, lightly bitter, noble hops, yeast,malt. Light body, high carbonation. Very smooth and clean. Nice zwickl.

3.0 Draught at the brewery. Cloudy, deep gold colored. AROMA- malty, touch of honey, spicy and flowery hoppy tones. FLAVOR- neutral, a bit sour, slightly bitter, malty, hoppy tones. Medium bodied. Young and not bad.

3.4 Kolor rdzawy, przygaszona miedź. W aromacie nuty chlebowe, nieco ziołowe. Goryczka wyczuwalna, choć nie w nadmiarze. Dośc pełne, i słodkie. Bardzo fajna klasyka.

3.0 Keg at Stiegl Brauwelt, Salzburg in 2017. Clear mid golden with a dense white head. Aroma of floral hops, light sugar and biscuity malt. Decent enough lager malt flavours with a hint of grassy hops.

2.8 Hazy golden/amber with an off-white head. Aroma is peach and banana. Grainy taste, bread, more peach. Body tends to be slightly watery, otherwise quite drinkable.

3.2 Cloudy golden beer. Large white frothy head. Stays. Aroma: grains, apple peel, light spiciness, herbal hop. Light to medium body. Average carbonation. Soft palate. Taste: medium dry, grainy, fruity, a bit hoppy. Low to light bitterness. Quite tasty. A slightly more perceivable ending hop bite would make it a style leader. In that condition just good.

2.7 Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy golden, dense white head. Aroma: Malt, hop. Taste: Malty with some floral hopbitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Some more hop than the Salzburger Stiegl bier, but still not that much hop. More malty. Not that good.

4.5 Wohl eines der ersten Bio-Zwickl, die groß im Handel erhältlich waren. Es ist nach dem in der Schweiz geborenen Mediziner Theophrastus Bombast von Hohenheim benannt, den man eher unter seinem Künstelernamen Paracelsus kennt. Dieser war lange in Salzburg tätig und ist auch hier gestorben und begraben. Seine Todesursache ist noch immer nicht ganz klar; unter anderem kann Leberkrebs durch hohen Alkoholkonsum oder eine Quecksilbervergiftung nicht ausgeschlossen werden. Das Bier ist ein fein mildes Zwickel, das naturtrüb aus der Flasche kommt. Es hat schöne malzige Aromen, die dem Gaumen schmeicheln. Kann man immer trinken, ohne dass es langweilig wird.

3.8 Fľaška adventný kalendár. Vôňa leziakova chmelovo sladova. Farba tmavšia zlatista. Chuť príjemná sladova.

3.1 Bottle. Hazy golden, fluffy white head. Light fruity dry, grassy Hops, light slightly chewy body, orangepeel retronasal.

3.2 Pivo u flaši. Sladno kvasna aroma. Tijelo je solidne punoće. Okus je također sladno kvasan , sa dominacijom kvasca. Gorčine , malo više nego niš :) ..znači , pivo je prvenstveno kvasno kiselkasto , ali je ta kiselkastost fino izbalansirana sa sladnošću.. Za "slado-ljupce" i "kvasco-ljupce" idealno pivo... ma pravi Sladoljub Kvasić :)
