4.0 24-OCT-2020, draft @Amager Bryghus Taproom Nørreport, with Ulkløbben. Hazy yellow with a lasting, slightly lacing, white head. Grape fruit, exotic fruit, petro, malt. Bitter, creamy, very nice.
3.9 Bottle from Euro Local Swap. Many thanks Nisse666!. Hazy yellow/orange juicy colour, white creamy foam. Lots of resinous hops, tropical fruit, papaya, medium bitter finish.
3.5 440ml can from We Brought Beer, Tooting. Interesting beer. It looks like a New England, and has that soft palate and thicker body, but the flavour profile is piney and dank, with a good resinous hoppy bitterness.
4.3 Ölet har en fruktig doft och smak av Ananas. Drucken ur en 440 ml burk.En god öl!
3.7 (Can, 0.44 l - BB 05.05.2021, at G Livelab Helsinki, 20200820) The beer poured pale orange and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grapefruit, pineapple, pine and menthol. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grapefruit, menthol, tangerine, pine, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, spicy and bitter. A tasty and balanced hoppy brew.
3.8 Color amarillo anaranjado con fina espuma de buena retención. Aroma medio afrutado. Sabor intenso y dulce, también afrutado, con cierto fondo maltoso y final amargo. Cuerpo y carbonatación medios.
3.6 Aroma: Mild soft hops, pineapple, mango Taste: Initial fruity sweetness, grassy green notes with malt and wheat backbone. Develops into rounded malt fullness in the back of mouth. Finishes with terrific and lasting hop bitterness. Mouthfeel: Soft, with medium carbonation. Summary: Initially malty and discreet NEIPA, which wins big on the huge bitter hoppy finish.
4.2 Peach, pineapple and fresh cut grass with a medium bitterness. A lovely classic.
4.5 Can. Pours a hazy gold with big initial head. Aroma is refreshing and hoppy. Loads of citrus, especially lemon, orange and grapefruit, also mango, passion fruit and in general a bit of a tropical fruit bowl. Medium body. Flavour is malty, with a clean malt profile, slightly bitter and just very well balanced. Unlike lots of NEIPAs there is some bitterness here to balance the sweetness of the malt. Loads of juicy and fruity notes. Juiciness is very citrus based with orange marmalade, lemon and grapefruit. Then there's an additional tropical fruit layer with sweet mango and some passion fruit, as well as a herbal hoppy finish. Lovely hop profile. Hard to compare this to the original GBG as it has been years, but this one is extremely delicious, just like the former. Once more an amazing NEIPA from Stigbergets.
4.2 Golden hazy with a tall white head Citrus on the nose, hints of lemon balm Excellent balance between the hops and citrus. Smooth almost creamy texture. Excellent beer for summer evenings (or winter or autumn or spring)
4.0 Espuma blanca, bastante carbonatada. Sabor y aroma tropical, ligero amargor final. Muy bien equipada.
3.7 Can, 44 cl. Pours a hazy yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma is orange and lemon. Taste is fruity sweet with a good balance with a moderate bitterness. Low to medium carbonation. A really tasty beer.
3.7 Copenhagen 18/3 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller Web-shop. Pale yellow can with a golden ball surrounded by writing spelling "Stigbergets Göteborg". Pours opaque, hazy, golden yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing. Aroma is medium intense, sweet with a malty touch and with fairly strong citric notes. Sweet malts and caramel. Notes of peach and pineapple. Stronger touch of grape fruit and citrus. Still gentle and pleasant. Light carbonation. Medium thick, smooth, soft, lightly tingling texture, Flavor is medium intense. Medium sweetness followed by a slightly stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a light tart undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Semi-dry finish. Gentle, middle of the road IPA which manages to just taste good.
3.7 Gylden uklar skum hvid luftig Citrus malt havre blomst korn Bitter modrate sød modrate @home
3.7 0,44l can from Systembolaget, shared with wiosna @ home. Pours hazy yellow with a medium head. Aroma is sweet juicy malts. Flavor is sweet juicy malts with some hops. Good.
4.7 Hard to get this one. Outstanding freshness and aroma. Loved every drop of it.
3.1 Pours a slightly cloudy, golden amber coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and quite faint, muddled hop aromas of tropical and citrus fruit, with just a hint of dankness. Taste follows, the nose, being dominated by sweet, biscuity malt as well as some, faint, muted, stale tropical/citrus hops and light dankness coming through, with barely recognizeable notes of mango and tangerine. Finishes with a very light bitterness and some biscuity malt and muddled hops lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation. This beer is 8 months old now and that's what it tastes like, with the hops being quite faint and muted, which brings out the sweet'ish biscuity malt more and making for an unbalanced, poor drinking experience that is bereft of the vibrant, juicy hop aromatics that a NEIPA is supposed to embody. I'm not going to not rate this because of its age because the brewery sets 12-month best-by dates for their IPAs and I therefore consider it ultimately their fault if their beer reaches customers in this state. It deserves to be rated for what it is as far as I'm concerned.
4.0 Orange juice,tropical fruits,oats maybe,some sweetness
3.8 Hazy orange pour. Overripe pineapple nose. Juicy but also piney and bitter. Nice ipa!
3.8 440 ml can from BeerHawk, bb 28/11/2019 so this could affect quality. Orange, cloudy. Nose - malts, pine, citrus. Taste - bitter, juicy.
3.0 Can 440ml (Systembolaget) Hazy orange colour, floating particles, cloudy white head and lace. Overriped canned pineapple in the nose. Medium--bodied. Pineapple and citrus in the flavour. Some juicyness. A bit lame, probably lost its power on the way.
3.8 Can, SB. Opaque orange yellow with a thick head. Aroma is fruity with peach, pineapple and cantaloupe. Peach and pineapple in the taste, tangerines, cantaloupe, vanilla, maybe lactose. Good stuff.
3.8 Can. Slightly hazy yellow pour with small offwhite head. Aroma has citrus and peach. Taste is fresh and balanced. Delicious. Medium heavy body. Average carbonation
3.9 Can. An unclear orange colored beer with a big, dense, offwhite head. Curtains. Super-fruity aroma, mostly citrusy, but also tropical and piney, with just notes of malts. It's full bodied, quite smooth and dry, with a decent carbonation. Grapefruit, pine cones, mango notes, green grapes, melon hints and a touch of malty sweetness in the flavor. Lasting fruity, citrusy swallow. A very pleasant and tasteful beer, sure worth repeating. 191012
4.0 On tap at Tilt Lovely NEIPA, juicy, fruity, still bit dry. Full of citruses. Tasty.
3.7 Skumkrona. Svag doft, passion, mango. Krispig. Viss efterbeska.
4.2 Can from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden body with a white head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine and grapefruit. Flavour of salted orange and peanut shell. Medium body with a creamy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Sweet and hoppy. Delicious.
4.1 Tap@BrewDog, Tampere, Finland. Medium, balanced, subtle nuances of slightly overaged mango with buttery malty coockies and some floral notes. Medium taste spectrum and medium aftertaste with hoppy cookie malts and some fruits. Medium body with medium carbonation. Overall, high quality and distinctive, subtle stylesness. 8 4 8 4 17
Formidabel.
