3.8 Can. Brown to black, low brown head. Dark chocolate, coffee, light spicy/salmiak roast aroma. Medium full fat fondant chocolate base, dry sparkly on the tongue. Full flavored, chocolate with a hint booze. Licorice/salmiak dry finish. Good.
3.8 Black beer, thin head soon fizzles down. Strong malty aroma, a little coffee. Flavour has coffee, malt, a little chocolate, a little boozy. Smooth, not quite as rich as I'd have thought but it's got a good hearty and warming aftertaste. Straightforward flavours but tasty stuff.
4.0 Can @ DØE Køge. Appearance: pours clear black with good creamy tan head and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, bread, chocolate, milk chocolate, light liquorice, caramel, lots of coffee, light dried fruit, light alcohol, light nuts and light earthy notes. palette: strong roasted and coffee aroma, low to average carbonation, full body, notable average sweetness, somewhat balanced by a medium to notable bitterness, long duration, sweet finish and an oily texture. Overall: Excellent coffee imp stout
Lukter kaffe, sjokolade, kakao. Kaffepreg i smaken. Fyldig. Liker denne.
3.8 Canned, huge thanks Hrabren! Extremely dark red body, blackish, brownish head, thick, but gone too soon. The aroma initially smells beautiful, like these old school dark chocolate & coffee pralines Kraš makes or made in Croatia, but that melds into the rest soon, mixing with oily notes, raisins, light soy sauce, all under a tart note, highly pleasant at times, lightly messy at others, complex by all means. Simpler taste, soooft coffee, dry raisins, malty, chocolate touches, lean, nice soft sweetness. Very good RIS, taste-wise a bit less attractive than some.
4.9 17-04-2021; can; at home (bought at Systembolaget, Karlstad, Sweden). The looks of the beer are very nice. It is the perfect Stout beer look. The beer is very dark. On the eye it is pitch black, but with a bright light a nice ruby red glow can be seen. It is just too dark to say anything about the clarity of the beer. On top of the beer a minimal grayish layer of foam is formed. Within seconds the already minimal layer of foam disappears, leaving nothing. The beer seems to have a slightly higher viscosity than average, resulting in a nice and thick luscious beer. Nice! The aroma of the beer is divine. There are loads of roasted and toasted malts, giving some touches of smoke, but mainly coffee and chocolate, with notes of vanilla. There is nice mocha too, with notes of caramel. The hops are nice and earthy, with a herbal touch. Quite nice. The added coffee goes very well with the coffee aromas given by the roasted malts. It has extra roast and brings a nice touch of vanilla too. The result is a very rich bouquet of aromas, just as you'd expect from an Imperial Stout. The taste is very nice. The malts are nice and sweet and alcohol gives even more sweetness. The roast and toast give a slight savory note and some bitterness. The coffee provides even more bitterness, so do the malts. There is a slight balancing acuity in there, not much, but just enough for some harmony. The result is a very well balanced beer. Also the mouthfeel of the beer is very nice. It is very smooth on the palate. The body is full, thick and rich. Texture is smooth, creamy, thick and velvety. The high viscosity makes it very smooth. I wonder if there is lactose in it, to give it some body. The carbonation is medium an together with the high alcohol it gets a nice tingle. Lovely. The finish is long, smooth and rich. Aromas fade away slowly. It is filled with roasted and toasted coffee, some chocolate and vanilla. All in all, it is a very well made Stout with a perfect addition of coffee, not over the top.
3.5 330ml can. Pours jet black with a thin head. Aroma is bitter coffee and a little tar. Taste has roast to start with a sweet coffee finish.
3.5 0.33 l can from Systembolaget in Stockholm. Shared with little Dina and our family. Dark brown with a ruby tint, oily and minimal head. Aroma is intense coffee, roasty, a tart aroma, a touch of bell pepper, milk chocolate and some nuts. Flavour is very soft chocolate, nutty, roasty, alcohol, a tart touch. Very soft and drinkable, although strong. Quite sweet, molasses in the finish. Flat.
3.6 Can. Almost black. Roast and fresh grinded coffee in the aroma and flavor. Sweet, hardly any carbon. Hidden alcohol.
3.9 17/10/2020. Can at the Lublin SoN beer share, from Nisse666 cheers. Pours black with a small tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, deep roasted malt, dried fruit, ash and nut. Light sweetness and medium plus roasted bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, average carbonation. Ashy, bitter roasted finish. Didn't quite have the body expected but was otherwise very enjoyable.
3.0 Kaffe
3.8 Canned330ml. -Pitch black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate, light coffee and whiff of alcohol in the nose. Sweet roasted malt, licorice, light coffee and chocolate with noticable alcohol.
2.0 Mörk choklad, inte för mig 21 år
3.6 0,33l can. Pours black with tan head. Aroma of roast, chocolate, licorice, coffee. Somewhat held back. Taste is initially sweet, turns bitter coffee and dark chocolate. Not a lot going on. It's good but not quite enough.
2.0 Fattig kol kaffe smak.
3.6 Can 330 ml. Very dark brown with a milkchocolate coloured head. Sweet aroma with berries and roasted malts. But where’s that coffee? Taste is actually rather plain, not much more than malty and roasted notes. Again I miss the coffee. Not a bad beer, but I expected more from it.
3.9 Thank you Chris fro this can - Black with a brown head - Dark malt coffee and chocolate in the aroma - DArk malt body with some notes of roasted coffee and some chocolate and bitterness - The dark malt wiht coffee and bitterness goes into the finish - This was good
3.7 Wicked stout
4.0 Pours deep ruby red, almost black with mahogany creamy head. Aroma is roast, vanilla and coffee. Taste is bitter coffee, vanilla tones. Nice. (Velp 202003)
3.8 Weird shaped can (Systembolaget Are, Sweden). Black color. Sweet, roast, vanilla, cocoa, chocolate in aroma/taste.
3.9 Black with dark head that fizzes out in seconds. Aroma has intense coffee. Very earthy and roasted. Texture is oily with just a light carbonation. Warming alcohol. Hints of vanilla and brown sugar. Mostly dark bitter roasted coffee.
3.7 God, mkt kaffe smak. Tjock och fyllig.
4.0 nose is leather, tobacco, vanilla, coco. palate bitter coco, cherry , and nice tannins. very nice beer
4.1 A 330ml can, with a best before date of 7th November 2020. Poured into a snifter glass. It was black in colour with a thin brown head that dissipated fairly quickly but left some lacing. Aromas of light roast, coffee, chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla, with hints of toffee, caramel and dark fruit. Tastes roasty, dark chocolate, coffee, with hints of vanilla and a nice lasting bitter finish. Rich, medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Overall an enjoyable sipper with nice coffee and dark chocolate notes.
