Stillwater Gose Gone Wild

Stillwater Gose Gone Wild

"It’s no secret that we like to party, and sometimes it gets wild. So we took Westbrook’s refreshing Gose and cranked up the volume a bit, adding a massive dose of Citra & Amarillo hops, then fermented it various strains of Brettanomyces...Go Westbrook, it’s your birthday, get funky!!" -Brian (Stillwater Artisanal)

3.7 12oz can - solid gose with subtle hop profile. Easy to drink. Tart, bitter, sour, salty... Wheaty finish.
4.0 Flaska från SB. Disigt, gyllengul kulör med vit skumkrona. Pigg kolsyra. Elegant i son enkelhet.
3.6 bottle @ Cork 'n Bottle / Crescent Springs KY --- Aroma of sour malt. Cloudy dirty lemon color, full white head, strips of lace. Taste is light wheat and malt that turns quite sour on the swallow. Cleansing and appetite awakening, this is a solid warm weather brew.
3.5 Bottle at Tilt Brum; hazy yellow pour with a big bubbly off white head, aroma has some big funk and sour lemon, taste has brett action, solid funk, hints of spice, not getting much gose.
3.9 Draft, Bistro Passerelle. Pours hazy straw with a frothy white head. Sour, salty, spice, funky yeast, some hops in there too. Really nice.
3.9 Pours a hazy light gold, thin white head. SMells sour, no vinegar though, a bit of ripe melon. Taste is nice, good medium sourness, some wheat flavours, sparkling palate, light, crisp, yum!
3.9 Bottle from Systembolaget, Sweden. Semi lasting white head ove a clear solid yellow beer with a fine sparkle. Fresh rhubarb aroma blended with citrus. Mild lactic aciditty and fresh fruitiness.
3.0 Draught@CBC2016. Yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is salty, some wooden and mild lactic notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, lactic, salty and some wooden and toffeeish notes to it.
3.7 (650ml 2016 bottle from Systembolaget) Pours a cloudy medium gold with a huge white head that fades to a cap with massive lace. Aroma of lemon-limeade, citrus zest, bright salty notes, lots of herbal quality, some coriander, moderate funk. On the tongue, a lot of lemon-lime character, overlaying a bright salinity, a bit of herbal dried coriander in the finish, subtle funk on the back end too. Overall, pretty tart and a little mineral, with very low bitterness. Light body, low carbonation, refreshing. Not a fresh bottle so I think the hop fade has eliminated complexity vs. fresh, I remember more hops on tap @ CBC ’16.
4.2 At Bodega Fermin in Barceloneta/Barcelona in a bottle. White head, clear light color. Mild, slightly salty, mildly sour, discrete sour aftertaste. Very correct Gose. Overall good beer.
4.4 Bottle from Shawan Liquors. Pours golden and clear with a white head. Leaves a shitload of lacing in the glass. Huge funk notes on the nose along with big coriander. Very tart and funky and salty on the tongue. There’s a huge amount of flavor here. Finished clean. Quite a lovely and refreshing beer.
4.0 Bottle in Seattle. Soft white foam, hazy yellow body. Lots of lemon-lime on the nose. Touch of hazy vinegar. Lots of grapefruit in sip, juicy and tart. Sourness blends in better over time. Touch of lacto creaminess at the finish. Tart and delicious.
3.7 On tap @ Rbabarrab. This one’s has a cloudy looking paleish yellow golden colored body. A huge white quite good looking and lacing head on the top. Smells delicious. Little lemonadeny almost and peely. Lime peel for sure. Like a really good lemonade with apples and white wine. Really enjoying the aroma. It tastes more or less the same this. Lemonade like, citrussy and super refreshing. It has a thin oily texture in the mouth and it’s about average on the carbonation. Close up on the definition of refreshing, causes it really is. Whiteish slightly sour strawberries. Sorrel. A little old flower vase in the finish. Other than that, a superb one. 10.05.2017
3.4 Tap industry public house. Slight hazy straw color appearance. Neutral aroma. Taste is pleasantly mild and salty. Easily enjoyable.Fun. Quite mild on the palate. Yes, overall balanced yummy tart beer. Good stuff.
3.8 Wow does this gose ever smack you in the mouth with flavour. Nose of Brett, funk, hops, barrel. Sour lemon flavours, crisp tart and refreshing. Really good stuff.
3.7 Yellow, almost green lemonade cloudy body, white head and lacing. Tart vinegar, vinous, citrus, lactose aroma. Taste is sour, with a dry finish. A nice gose.
4.0 Flaska från SB. Tack Daniel! Riktigt gott.
3.5 My Bottom Line: This very citrusy and dry brew leaves a mineral trail on the palate, leading to plenty of acidity. Further Personal Perceptions: -A veil of foam tops the pale yellow. -The flavour profile is a tad linear despite the complexity of the recipe. -Acidity levels are high, but remain pleasant. -Salt is well integrated. -In the end, this doesn’t taste like Gose much. But you can see the lineage once you read the label and have another sip. Bottle.

3.6 Bottle from AJ’s Beer Warehouse. Lots of citra hops and a nice tart and salty taste.
3.9 Keg at Ratebeer Best Beer Festival. 31/01/2016. A pale yellow golden coloured pour with a loose white head. Aroma is hard lemon, sharp lemon rind, salty. Flavour is composed of nice floral lemon, pollen, crisp light grains, tangy mineral finish. Palate is crisp grainy, little thin, moderate carboantion. Good stuff.
3.9 Man who doesn’t love a good Gose? Aroma was decent. Sour wheat and a hint of funk. Pour was beautiful. Hazy very light gold with lots of rising bubbles and a thin white film for a head. So pretty it makes you want to go swimming in it. Taste was classic Gose. Light and sour with lemon and lemongrass taking center stage. Light and very heavy biting carbonation make this a perfect summer beer. Hope it’s still around in a few months!
3.9 Bottle. Hazy golden colour with white head. Citric aroma. Citric, salty, acidic taste. Medium body.
3.7 Tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2016. Cloudy yellow body with a small white head. Citrus, lemon, zesty, fruity, tart, light salty.
4.0 Flaska.
3.4 Wazig licht blond bier met weinig wit schuim. Geur: vlierbloesem en honing. Smaak: zuur, citroen, sodawater, zout, wat metaal. Lichte koolzuurprikkel. Lichte tot medium body. Afdronk: licht zuur, vlierbloesem. Aangename dorstlesser.
4.3 Poured a hazy dark golden color with a white head. Aroma was of big sweaty sock funk salinty, pineapple and cat piss, yes please! Flavor similar, big juicy mosaic like hip punch, medium tartness, mild salt and finishes with a lovely funk. So good.
3.8 Ljusgul molnig. Luktar tropiskt, citrus. Härligt sur och salt. Och citron. Gillas.
