3.4 Can at a tasting. Hazy yellow golden. Aroma of fruity hops, a bit stale, pine needles, onion. Sweet, fruity, citrus, onion, tropical fruits. Medium-bodied, soft carbonation.
4.0 Quaffing beer! Not incredibly hoppy though.
3.7 Canned, 473 ml, courtesy of Max. Shared with him, JFK10000, kajser27. Pours cloudy golden, white head. Citrus, yeasty, tropical fruit, bit watery. Light to medium bodied.
3.7 Fat på MBCC 2018. Disig, gyllengul kulör med vit skumkrona. Doft och smak av tropisk juice, grapefrukt och citrus. Klassisk god IPA.
4.0 Sample at MBCC 2018 green session. Hazy golden with white head. Tropical fruity juicy with citrus.
3.4 B.B.E March 17 15 12:51; Sampled July 2016 Almost impossible to read this label for some reason. It took me a while to figure out the beer name. A vigorous pour produces a two-finger thick, light tan colored head. The beer is a light amber color that shows clear, golden highlights when held up to the light. The aroma is dominated by spicy, tropical fruit notes; piney-mango, not ripe papaya, guava, lychee, and tart peach notes are quite prominent. The malt aromatics play a supporting role, but after the beer warms up a bit, you can catch around the edges a toasted, whole grain cracker like note. This has a solid bitterness to it that gets a bit more biting towards the lingering finish, though this is not an overly bitter interpretation of an IPA. Herbal and woody pine flavors linger on the tongue after each sip, but the beer is quite dry, which muffles the tropical fruit flavors just a bit. The body has a soft heft to it, but remains light enough to be quaffable. Floral notes of peach, mango, kumquat zest, and tangelo zest are noticeable, though much more muted than in the nose. Hints of toasted hay, and whole grain crackers play a purely supporting role for the malt side of the flavors. Not bad, perhaps a bit muted, though certainly tasty enough.
2.9 At Max Place, pours yellow with a small head, aroma of orange, marmalade, flavor is slightly bitter with orange, marmalade, medium bodied
3.6 Sampled draft @ TCBW 2018. Golden, citrus, small white. Nose is low metallic, iron, pine grapefruit. Low metallic, okay grapefruit, oil, peach, pine, oily, fair.
3.8 16 ounce can. Hazy, light gold color. Frothy white head. Tropical fruit hop nose. Bittersweet grapefruit notes upfront. More juicy and sweet in middle. Notes of kiwi, lemon and tangerine in finish. Tasty.
3.7 Tap @ TCBW 2018. Pours yellow with high white head. Aroma is dry, hops, fruits, citrus. Taste quite same. Classical and good juicy IPA.
3.6 Tap at TCBW 2018, Tallinn. Color is slightly cloudy golden with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Fruits, some tropical fruits, hops and malts. Nice clear IPA.
3.0 Tap at TCBW. A bit hazy yellow colour, small white head. Light lemongrass hoppy nose. Light-bodied. Crisp, lychee some citrus, pale malts. A bit dissapointing.
3.4 Ice cold and yellow. Fresh hop aroma. Straw. Malty base. Hops are burning through my tongue.
4.2 Bright golden yellow beer with smallish head on top. Aroma has tropical sweet fruits, grapefruit hops, hop bomb. Taste is bitter with tropic fruity tones, zesty grapefruit, nice hop kick in the end. Medium body and medium carbonation. Nice and fresh IPA.
3.6 Can. Gold, slightly hazy. A modest white head doesn't last. Fruity aroma with pineapple, peach, mandarin. Medium bodied, carbonation is quite low. Sweet with a plump mainly tropical fruitiness until pine and some not entirely welcome herbal notes towards the moderately bitter end. Pretty good, original.
3.7 Can from Bine & Vine. Pours light gold with a white head. Aroma is tropical, almost dankly so. Med body. Flavor is tropical and arguably dank. It's dry for me, and it's verging on harshly bitter. Lots of fruit, but that seems tempered by something earthy/herb/veg. Which is not a bad thing in this beer. I think I'm getting hop bite on my tongue. Not in the latest trend, but worthy of appreciation.
3.6 IPA ligera, refrescante, muy bebible. Aroma pino, cítrica y herbal en boca. No la he notao tan tropical como su nombre indica.
3.4 1 pint can. Both looks and smells really good. Cloudy orange with a tall foamy white head that smells really citrussy sweet. Lots of citrus peel oils, grapefruit, lime and orange. Piney hops and a fruity sweetness. Nice. Not bad in the taste either, but it has a strange thing that I cannot put my finger on. Plum almost. Good oily in the mouth and it's just about average on the carbonation. Really hop forward. Lots of cat pee here. Sweet and a little old in the aftertaste. Not the kind of IPA profile that I love but it's definitely nice enough. 10.11.2017
3.6 Can, 50 cl. Yellow. Tropical floral aroma, mango, citrus, pineapple, mandarine. Light mouthfeel, tropical sweetness. Easy on the bitterness. a bit of bubblegum. Okay beer.
3.6 Cytrusowy zapach z przewagą grejpfruta i odrobiną świerku. Goryczka średnia, krótka, bardzo przyjemna, dobry balans. Klasyczna amerykańska ipa jednym słowem.
3.2 Mango on the nose, very fruity taste. Lacks the oomph of bittering hops and complex flavour. Reminds me more of a morning juice/smoothie.
3.6 Keg at BrewDog, Shepherds Bush, London in Jan 2018 - Hazy orangey gold in colour. Massive creamy white head. Excellent lasting lacing. Fruity; citrus grapefruit, orange. Hoppy; good hop bitterness, grassy hops. Malty; grainy malts. Bittersweet citrus fruity and grassy hoppy throughout. Easy drinking IPA. (2018-01)
3.4 The aroma is full of hops, passionfruit, mango, pineapple and orange. The color is reminiscent of mandarine juice. The taste is full of hops, passionfruit, mango, pineapple, citrus, orange, peaches and mandarine. A nice beer!
3.9 From 473ml can. Nose is rather disappointing and misleading, light orange hazy appearance. Hop Bomb! Very nice, very drinkable ipa. Overall a very impressive ipa.
2.6 500ml can (Bacchanalia, Cambridge) (5:3:5:3:10=2.6) Starchy aroma, harsh hops, APA on steroids. Taste basically the same - harsh hopping, starchy malts. Smooth palate, a bit dead. Silly hop vehicle, no balance to be found here at all. And I guess there's Mosaic in this, as the stank is high.
2.4 500ml can (thanks FatPhil). Slightly hazy yellow color. Citrusy, rubbery, fruity, pine, mango in aroma. Sweet, caramel, citrus and fruity in taste. Buttery and slick mouthfeel. Weird stuff.
3.0 500ml bottle shared by Phil, thanks! Semi-clear yellow pour, very small white head. Nose is stanky hops, citrus, peach, pineapple, sugar. Flavor is sugar, grapefruit, diesely notes, Mosaic. Hoppy and sour finish.
3.2 Can, canned 22.11.17 (thanks fatphil). Pours hazy yellow with whiteish head. Aroma is hoppy, oily, sugar, onions. Flavor is sweet and bitter, mild citrus, tangerins, slight garlic. Body is watery. Overall: okish.
3.5 Can from the Good Spirits Co Wine & Beer. Nose is hoppy: a bit damp, earthy, green, sweaty. Taste is sweet malt plus some tangy yellow fruit. Palate is refreshing, clean. Overall nae bad.
3.4 Keg at BD Lothian Road. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, oily lemon, grapefruit, grass, sherbet and lemongrass. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, grassy, pithy, lemongrass, toasty grain, light spice and grapefruit with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.
