3.7 Bottle, 65cl. Clear amber with a large frothy offwhite head. Aromas of roasted caramel, floral hops, peaches. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth and creamy. Medium sweet with medium bitterness. Rich malty and hoppy character into a bitter hoppy finish. Very smooth, well-balanced and pleasant.
3.5 Bottle, 650ml. A clear amber beer with a medium size white head. Aroma is of hops, peaches and pine resin. Taste is moderately bitter and sweet with some carbonation and faint astringency. Really reminds me of peaches at the end. Not a very strong hoppy finish.
3.7 On tap @ The Rover, Gbg. Orange with a medium white head. Fruity and hoppy tones. Fruit, malt, hops and bitterness .Medium to full body with a long bitter / fruity finish.
4.0 1pt 6fl oz bottle poured into a shaker. Golden orange with a thick white head. Aroma is almost exclusively peaches with only hints of floral hops. Have you ever drank the syrup out of a can of peaches? That’s how this brew’s flavor begins. As that begins to fade, hops enter the scene. The hops flavor swells for several seconds until finally smacking you with a resin blast on the back of your tongue, causing your mouth to water. The alcohol is pretty well disguised until you get about a half glass in and start to feel its effects. This is a full-bodied beer that leaves your mouth sticky. This is a very nice collaboration. Bravo.
3.4 Appearance: clear pale to medium amber with two fat fingers of fluffy ivory head, good retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: caramel malt, peaches and other stone fruit, citrus, light pine, earth. (6/10) Taste: moderate-high sweet, moderate-high bitter. (6/10) Palate: medium oily body, moderate carbonation, moderate duration bitter finish. (4/5) Obviously a bit too old, but I wasn’t going to pass it up. The hops have faded a little, leaving behind the meatier caramel malt. The peach is definitely there, but because of the relative strength of the malt, it’s not as bright and tart as I would have hoped. Still fairly big bitter, but it’s more diffuse and not clean. OK as is, but a bit disappointing - I really am sorry I didn’t get it sooner. (14/20)
4.0 Bärnstensfärgad med vit skum. Doftar och smakar mycket annanas med bra beska och fyllighet
3.8 2016/04/23 - Pours a clear, pale amber colour with a thick, soapy, off white head that lingers and leaves ample lacing. Aroma is citrus (orange, grapefruit), caramel, pine, apricot, cracker and light pineapple. Taste is peach, orange, pine, citrus, caramel, cracker and light tropical fruits. Mouthfeel is light to medium body with average carbonation and a bitter, slightly juicy finish. Excellent balance.
3.4 Bottle at home. Pours clear copper, white head that fades t a very thin lace. Aroma is apricot, citrus, faint caramel malts. Taste is orange, light fruit, faint cracker and caramel. A bit sticky. Light mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Enjoyable IPA
4.1 2016-04-12, draught at Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar (W. Broadway), Vancouver, 16oz, 7-4-8-5-16=40 Cloudy light amber color. Moderately sweet but lean, nice malt flavor, not much caramel luckily; strong sensible hopping, loaded with orangey resins. Excellent. 2016-03-18, draught at Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar (W. Broadway), Vancouver; 16oz, 8-4-8-5-16=41 9.3% ABV Cloudy orange-amber color with small to no head. The aroma is dominated by orangey hops. Full bodied, but also lean mouthfeel, moderately sweet, it has a good Pale malt profile, the hops are resiny, a bit fruity too. A bit chewy, but very good.
3.7 On tap at the Rover, Göteborg. Hazy orange with white head. Fruity with tropical fruit, ripe fruit and zest. Dry with medium to high bitterness and medium carbonation.
3.8 Sample @ Malmö Öl & Whisky Festival 20160402. Fruity, hoppy, caramely, pine needles, peaches.
4.2 Pours an amber straw with a nice white head. Nose is full of pine and resin. Taste is tropical hop forward, grapefruit, pineapple and a resin finish. Great collab
4.0 On tap at Dead Crafty Beer Company Liverpool. Hazy dark gold amber lasting cream head. Big thick resin grapefruit hop. I mean its light yet heavy good grapefruit carries the abv really well. Pretty good. Beer of the day? Yep i think so. Handles it all so well good finishing beer.
3.9 Flarra. Doftar först tydligt barr sen kommer lite citrus å blött halm. Omedelbart maltig mjuk känsla i munnen .
3.6 Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours a clear amber orange being almost copper with a big white head with no retention. . Nose is peach, and some light pine, along with some other hard to identify tropical fruit. Medium body. Flavor is citrus and tropical fruit, and I still get peach and some pine. There is a odd flavor in the finish that reminds me kind of fruit cocktail. No real bitterness appears. While OK drinking the sweetness becomes a little cloying.
3.6 Amarillo, Tx - Party Stop - 22 oz bomber. Slightly murky dark orange pour with a very light off- white head, decent lacing. Aroma of fruit cocktail, some brown sugar. Flavor is fruit forward with some canned fruit cocktail, a touch of peaches, some rock candy-like sweetness, some brown sugar goodness, a touch of cookie dough, slight booziness in the finish. Mouthfeel is thick and rich.
3.5 Clear amber liquid with white head. Aroma of caramel and goatweed. Taste of caramel, medium sweet, medium bitter, light sour. Medium body, oily feel, long finish
3.3 Bomber from Winooski Beverage, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. App.: Brilliantly clear deep orange-amber with a orange-tan head. Aroma: Thick, sweet, fruity, smells almost oily, huge citrus, big caramel and bread crust, dust, peppery, resinous/dank, a little stone fruit, alcohol, toffee, toast, quite big. Palate: Medium+ to medium-full body with relaxed carbonation, feels a bit syrupy/slippery. Flav.: Rich and thick and sweet again, lots and lots of citrus peel, peppery and dank, toasted notes, big caramel and toffee, booze, some stone fruit, dusty, almost floral, very big; quite sweet with fairly big bitterness and a long, lingering boozy, fruity, orange peel, peppery/dank finish. Sorry, not my idea of a great DIPA. Not sorry.
3.5 Aroma is true to fashion with a lot of citrusy hops and some resin. Peachy sweetness lingers. Taste is malt sweet with peaches/tropical notes and a well balanced bitterness. I think it might be singing on the laste verse, but it was still enjoyable and so worth it.
3.9 Sweet fruits and damp hops on the aroma. It has a thick mouthfeel, with the softness and sweetness of fresh peaches on your tongue. It has a relatively sweet finish, which is gently cleaned away by the hops. Very different to most Dipas.
4.0 On tap at Blackbird. Soft citrus and a bunch of grapefruit Medium bodied, a good amount of malt, bit of grapefruit. Slow grapefruit into the finish, a bit of cool citrus.
3.6 22 oz bottle purchased at meijer in westerville ohio. Stone / 4 Hands / Bale Breaker Sorry Not Sorry is a hazy red amber pour with a thin head of white bubbles. Nose is front end sharp with evergreen hops and also a definite fresh peach sweet and tart scent. Taste is restrained pine hops with a nice peach almost apricot fruit over medium roasted malt. Body is lightly fizzy. very decent peach flavored IPA.
3.8 Shared at the StlBrews meeting from a bomber bottle into a nonic half-pint glass. It poured a clear orange amber colour with white foam, long-lasting with lace. True-to-style hops-forward A-IPA lots of citrus tang and dank resin, plus strong peach and cataloupe fruity flavours. Strong malt sweetness, might be syrupy if not balanced against so much hoppiness. Severely bitter, but still not too much so, they made it work. A lot of everything going on. A bold concept well-executed, very tasty, but not something I could drink often.
4.0 1 pt 6 fl oz bottle from Brewdog online store. Orange golden colour with a creamy white foam head leaving lots of lacing. Aroma of fruity mango, peach, citrus, hoppy. Flavour is malt caramel, mellow fruity peach, grapefruit & pine, with some tangy earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bodied, soft carbonation, boozy dry and bitter finish. Nicely drinkable.
3.0 An imperial IPA by Stone, wow, what a surprise - I wonder how long ago they came up with this idea? Hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall tan head - decent, but about what you’ve seen a hundred times over by an imperial IPA by stone. Aroma of fresh, citrusey and very tropical fruity hop notes with passionfruit and guava elements very strong - and surprisingly nice! Medium to Full-bodied; Bright tropical fruit flavours with some light citrus and a decent amount of perfumey hops along with some light pine and resin notes with not much malt and no real sweetness noticeable at all. Aftertaste is single dimensional with the hop flavours showing tropical fruits and some light dryness, but that’s it - no complexity, no malt, no body, no sweetness and no lingering flavours. Overall, sadly yet another Imperial IPA by Stone with no clear director or difference from their other beers...the big sad addition here is that 4Hands and Bale Breaker were added to the mix of producing yet another ho-hum beer that Stone thinks is so great and can charge bunches of money for...and naturally, I paid way too much to be a part of as well. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from New Beer Distributors in New York, New York on 04-December-2015 for US$8,99 sampled at home in Washington on 29-February-2016.
4.0 Bottle pour avg to dark gold with large white head. Nose big mango hop, tropical fruit, resin, floral and some caramelized sugar. Taste moderate bitter bite up front then candied citrus and flavors from the nose. Hint of peach among the bitter. Balancing sweetness mid to late palate. Fruity bitter finish. Thick mouth feel.
3.6 Tap @ brewdog bar Södermalm. Pours a bronze like colour beer with a small head. Fruity and hoppy with some notes of peach, pine and caramel. Dry fruity finish
4.1 Keg, Brewdog Leicester. Golden with a thin off white head. Biscuit and caramel with peachy notes and sweet tropical fruit and orange. Jammy with green pine and cherry stone. Earthy with minerals and warming alcohol. Spicy and peppery with a dry finish. Very good.
4.0 22oz bottle from Beer Gonzo. It pours a clean golden color with a medium white head. Aroma is strong fruity hops, with notes of grapefruit, melon, apricots, weed, danky hops. Taste is mellow sweet upfront with more bitter dry danky hops, notes of grapefruit, melon and peaches. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, sensational
