Stone (Berlin) White Ghost/Geist Berliner Weisse
Our tartly refreshing, kettle-soured Stone Berliner Weisse gained its orthodox sour and acidic character from a specially selected Lactobacillus strain sourced from local Berlin cultures. To ensure a properly Stone, and therefore iconoclastic, Berliner Weisse, we upped the ABV to a healthy 4.7% and hopped the beer with new German varieties, Huell Melon and Callista. This beer embodies the liveliness of summer with the fruity tang of apricots and the sweetness of ripe honeydew.

Wygląd:
Barwa słomkowa, zmętnienie na poziomie średnim, piana biała obfita, średnie i drobne pęcherze, całkiem trwała.
Aromat:
Bardzo przyjemny kwaśny aromat, głównie owoce takie jak cytryny, jabłka. Jest też przyjemna słodowa nuta, ale też jakby z kwaśnym akcentem - bardzo ciekawy zapach.
Smak: kwaśne, mega orzeźwiające, wysoko nasycone - szczypie w język. Bardzo sesyjne piwo, płaskie, ale mimo tego sporo się w nim dzieje, jest spora kwasowość w smaku, trochę kefirowa, ale także z owocowymi akcentami. Naprawdę solidne piwo :)
W aromacie bardzo wyraźnie kwaśne i gorzkawe. Mocno kojarzy się z nutami kefirowymi. Jest wytrawna, dojrzała cytryna.
W smaku mocno kwaśne, w posmaku nuty mleczne, kefirowe, i znów kwaskowy posmak.
Całość bardzo przyjemna.
Pozostawia cierpkawy, ściągający posmak na języku.
Porządne piwo.

Can from Schonefeld airport. Hazy yellow with a thin head. Aroma of sour citrus. Flavour is dry sour grain, wheat chaff, salty, sour fruit finish.
Licht geel/wittig bier met een kleine witte schuimkraag. Het bier is vanaf de eerste slok fris citroen zurig. Daarnaast is er iets te proeven van mandarijn, kruiden en iets graan zoetigs. Eindigt zurig en licht bitter.
Piwo ma bardzo ładny, słomkowy kolor. W zapachu czuć kwaśność, kwas mlekowy, troszkę cytrusów. W smaku praktycznie to samo, potężna kwaśność, trochę kwas mlekowy, drożdżowość, lekka cytrynka gdzieś z tyłu. Bardzo poprawny Berliner Weisse, ale nic w nim ciekawego.

Hazy lemon-hued with some greenish shades and virtually no head.
Aroma is plum, cantaloupe, grapes, citrus and -yes: rhubarb. Maybe not sth I'd have spotted on site if not read the can info, but it's there.
Bone dry, super tart and tangy, not bitter at all. Refreshing, zesty and slightly salty. I'd drink this everyday by the gallon.
Can. Almost clear golden yellow, small white head, nonlasting. Dusty, soury nose, slight grape and vinous. Puckery sourness, quite. Slight fruitiness, some grapes and a bit of white wine. Light. Fresh.
Pale yellow. Frothy white head. Honey melon and pear aroma. Not unpleasant. Taste is sour, sour, sour. Thin body. Tasted marginally better after mixing with Sekt on New Years Eve.

Milky smell with a citric note. Sour taste with a strong lemon component. Low carbonation.
Can, mid 2018. Tart gooseberry, lacto, apricot, white grapes. Tart. Very pleasant interplay of hops and lacto. Interesting composition, very well executed. This one will be missed.

The beer has got a hazy light vanilla colour with a small head and medium body. Aroma of white bread and acid. Taste of brett, grains, bread and acid. Sour finish.

Bottle. Hazy pale golden color with a minimal head. Acidic aroma of wheat and lemon. Medium thin body.
Can. Slightly hazy bright gold body with a white head. Nose of lemons and leathery flowers. Flavors of strongly tart lemons and bread crust are present. The finish is clean with a hint of bubblegum. Light body with some carbonation.
On tap at Stone Berlin. Pale yellow with a film. Scent is big yummy Mango Sour. Taste is consistent. Lemon. Clean and fresh. Great beer.
Draft. Golden beer with a cream head. Lemon and light tart aroma. Lemon and tart/light sour flavor. Medium bodied. Lemon and light sour linger.

12 ounce can poured into a chalice. The beer is a hazy yellow with a white head of foam. The aroma is herbal and tart. There’s a bit of a lemony character to it as well. Subtle juicy notes. Lighter body and medium carbonation.

W smaku spora dawka cytrusow,grejpfruty,agrest,mirabelki,morele i brzoskwinie. W tle ziarno i biszkopty. Średnie wysycenie,bardzo pijalne...taki nagazowany kompot z mirabelek.

Sample at Stone World Bistro & Gardens in Escondido. Cloudy straw color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Strings of lacing. Aroma of citrus, funky yeast, wheat and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of tart lemon/lime, wheat, funky yeast and biscuit malt. The finish is tart with a citrusy aftertaste. Decent overall.
