Stone Enjoy By IPA

Stone Enjoy By IPA

You have in your hands a devastatingly fresh double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers- especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs- we’ve taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We’ve not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you’re getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn’t randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the bottle, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and beer fans. Instead, we’ve sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

3.5 Golden, hazy, white beerhead with thin foam. Low retention. The aroma has citrus, orange , passion fruit, tropical fruits. Medium sweetness, soft carbonation ,medium body. High bitterness. The taste is Piney, orange, spicy, peppery, the mouthfeel is slightly numb, smooth and full. Nice enjoyable beer.
3.7 Aroma is fruit, yeast and mild sweetness. The flavor is citrus, fruit and a grainy/slightly spicy hop/sweetish finish. Earlier Rating: 11/30/2012 Total Score: 4.3 Aroma is pine, malts and very grassy hops. The flavor is citrus, light grapefruit, mild nutty undertones and a very long and bitter finish.
3.3 355ml can. Honey-hued pour with a large white head. Aroma is fruits and nougat, some guava, smells nectary. Flavor is sweet and nectary but with an ample bitterness, barley and hay, tangerine, cloying sweetness, not overly boozy. Its a bit off kilter for stone but i appreciate the bitterness. Earlier Rating: 8/23/2012 Total Score: 4.2 My mouth is half burnt so take this for what ti is. Similar to Ruination. I love the freshness of it. Not super bitter. The smell is the star of the show here. I like the concept, i hope more brewers take note.

3.7 Many times & dates. Pours lightly hazy yellow, white head. Dank, resin, pine, grapefruit, citrus, some booze. Big but decent balance.
3.2 Hazy, almost clear yellow. Quickly disappearing head and persistent, even lacing. Enjoy by 04.20.19.....packaged on 3/13/19, consumed on 5/12/19. Starts off sweet followed by bready, hoppy bitterness. Certainly some alcohol in this 9.4 brew. The finish is strongly bitter. $15.99/6 pack 12oz cans at Total Wine and More, Boca Raton, Florida
3.9 Sample at DØE 2018. A clear amber coloured beer with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of malt, piney, crispy, citrus, grapefruit and with a bitter finish.

3.4 A virtual tornado of bubbles erupted from the bottom of the glass when I pours this beer. Nice big off-white head. After the initial explosion of bubbles things slow down a lot, but there are still a lot of bubbles moseying slowly up the glass. Light aroma of hops. The aroma is surprisingly light for an imperial IPA. Sweet on the front of the tongue but it brings some hope bight toward the back of the tongue, particularly along the side. Kind of a one note flavor to be honest.
5.0 Rich and fresh taste, a bit pricey but worth it
4.0 Clear golden pour. Head was gone quickly. Not much lacing. Solid west coast offering from an iconic west coast brewery.
3.6 Can. Pours gold with an orange hue and an off-white head and substantial lacing. Pine and grapefruit hop aroma. Grapefruit and pine hops. Medium body. Fairly short finish. Earlier Rating: 4/14/2018 Total Score: 3.4 Enjoy By 04/20/18. Can. Pours gold with white head and substantial lacing. Dank, earthy pine hop aroma. Dank, earthy pine hops with caramel malt backbone. Lighter mouthfeel than expected for a double IPA.
3.7 Pours a clear classic golden with a foamy white head. Sweet nose of creamy citrus. Nice balance of sweet and bitter. Oily and crisp. Citrus and pine in the flavors. Bitterness lingers through and beyond the finish. Earlier Rating: 3/29/2013 Total Score: 4.3 This is the 04.01.13 version. Best iteration to date, in my opinion. Nice looking beer. Crystal clear classic golden color with a short, white head that is continuously fed by carbonation bubbles from the bottom. Vibrant piney, floral, and grapefruit citrus nose. Very pleasant full, soft, yet lightly scrubbing mouthfeel. The flavor is very nice. Tons of grapefruit and other esters outside of the citrus family. A bit of pine resin too. Maybe a bit of cake too. I really like this beer. This is by far and away the smoothest and nicest Stone I’ve ever had. Thank you Stone for finally belting one out of the park. ADDENDUM: The 09.13.13 version is all the 04.01.13 version, but has Spruce Christmas Tree flavor from start to finish. Very, very good.
3.9 Hāpi Festival 2019. Enjoy by 04.20.19. Pours gold orange. Caramel, orange, grapefruit, sweet tangerine, biscuit. Good body. Tasty.

3.4 Good and balanced. The aroma is very hopy and the taste is quite bitter but finely brewed. Excellent hint if flowers. Earlier Rating: 5/29/2018 Total Score: 3.7 Drank the 4/20/2017 version. Had it on my notes. Quite strong in features but not impressive. Easy to enjoy.
3.3 Enjoy By 04.20.19 Aroma: citrus, grapefruit, pine, toasty malt Appearance: clear amber color with a one-finger white head. A lot of bubbles come up from the bottom. Taste: citrus, pine, grapefruit, juicy freshness, toasty malt, medium sweetness, medium-high bitterness Palate: medium-full body, nice comfortable dryness, medium carbonation, medium alcohol sensation Overall: It's a really classic west coast IPA which flavor is also not surprising, and features great freshness of the hop. The mouthfeel is comfortable because the finish is not overly dry. Delicious!
3.8 Very good beer with that extra dankness from the brewing with a ton of different hops. Light and airy upfront but the full range of hops comes in and then the dank ending . Enjoyable with little or no lingering flavors . Very nice pour from a can into a beer tulip leaves a small 1/2” head. Great citrus and hop smell and a medium amber color. I’ve had a few Enjoy By’s but this one is a little heavier than the others !
4.5 味道的层次很多但都偏甜
4.8 10.31.18: pine, citrus aroma with strong hop presence. Clear copper in color with dirty white head. Taste of lemon, tropical fruits, oranges, hops, malt backbone, and refreshing crisp finish. Fruity and juicy, leaves the palate quenched. This is a very balanced double IPA. Besides the high abv, this could fool me for a easy drinking standard ipa. This just became my favorite for the style. Truly special beer.
3.8 Draft. Poured a clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus and pine dank hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This is a solid beer. Earlier Rating: 10/24/2012 Total Score: 4 Bottle. Poured a clear copper color with a large frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex citrus and earthy hop aroma. Medium to full body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bitter flavor with a medium to heavy bitter finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.
4.0 12 oz can. Enjoy by 10.31.18. Strong aroma of citrus with pine mixed in. Pours a clear amber/orange color. The high ABV is well masked by the malt and hops. The taste is a nice balance of sweetness and bitterness. Finishes with a mild citrus taste.
3.6 Probably one of the best smelling 2xIPAs I’ve ever stuck my nose into. Taste is solid, but nothing special that sets it above the pack. I wish it tasted as good as it smells. If my selection was limited I’d buy again, but I wouldn’t be excited about it.
3.6 Sample@Ølfestival København 2018 - pours orange amber with a white head. Delivers notes of sweet tropical fruits, prominent grapefruit, tangerine, citrus peel, with good malty backbone, caramel, piney resinous hoppy bitter finish.
3.5 Clear golden pour with a thick white foam head on top. Aroma is super hoppy, lots of booze. Taste is strong and boozy with a huge hop profile that hits you over the head, not just once, but twice! Not for every day use! A real nut masher.
3.7 Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing! Looks really good. Nice fruity aroma. Starts mild, malty, light salty. More and more hoppy fruity with mild sweetish notes. Hints of apricot, peaches. Mild bitter touch. Finish well balanced. Quite drinkable. Nice one!
4.1 Immense double IPA. Clear light amber, white head. Big nose floral hops. Taste a riot of flavours, grass, pine, some citrus. Full bodied.
4.4 This beer is one that I look forward to.. a classic double IPA, consistently good, always fresh. A treat every time. Thank you, Stone, for a beer well done!
