Stone Enjoy By IPA - Unfiltered

Stone Enjoy By IPA - Unfiltered

In most cases, skipping a step is a bad thing. Not this time. This version of Stone Enjoy By IPA omits the part where we filter out the extra yeast, hop sediment and proteins that build up in beer as a natural result of the brewing process. Though it may sound like it, this missed step was no misstep. By letting this IPA go unfiltered, its peach and tropical fruit hop flavors are amplified while its golden-hued color takes on a hazy appearance. Like its filtered counterpart, this IPA is brewed specifically NOT to last, and is shipped immediately to ensure hopheads get their hands on it as soon as possible.

3.8 Taster. Poured hazy golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with very good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex hop aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This beer met my expectations.

4.0 4th of July version 2019!. It might be difficult to organise but I would like to have this beer Always available
3.8 Pours a very clear golden color with a great white head. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, sweet orange, tangerine, bitter, biscuit. Taste is extremely light for a 9.4% ABV, notes of grapefruit, biscuit, sweet orange, pine. Very well balanced, definitely an IPA but not too bitter to taste the underlying sweet fruit notes. Super fresh as well, enjoyed 5 days ahead of time.
3.9 2019•7•4 can. Pours orange-gold, mostly clear, creamy off-white head, lacing. Aroma of stone fruits, rich biscuit malt, some booze, pine. Deep stone fruit flavour, dank, sweet malt base. Full feel, moderate to low carbonation, nice balance to flavour and feel, slightly chewy body, high bitterness, a touch boozy. Really nice.
3.8 Tap at Cap Hop. Pours slightly hazy gold with a white head. Fruity aroma with a touch of light malt. Med body plus a little. Flavor has a tang of pale stone fruit along with a touch of citrus - the tang might be yeast/spice. Now it seems a bit pine. Good stuff.
3.8 (tap) slightly hazy, bright orange amber colour with a small white head; aroma of jam, tropical fruit; assertive, balanced with a long, medium bitter finish
5.0 From a can to a glass. Pours a hazy light amber color with a monster frothy creamy head. Aroma is citrusy tropical fruits upfront, Mango, guava, oranges, earthy spices, pineapple, grapefruit, grassy hops, lemon drops, sweet bready malts. Taste follows the aroma well with the earthy spice hop notes more noticeable in the sip. Medium mouthfeel. Excellent Ipa!
4.0 Tin. Hazy orange pour with a thick white head. Hoppy aroma, citrus and pine. Hoppy taste with an all over finish.
3.8 From tap. Light hazy golden color with white head. Hoppy and light malty aroma, grass, pine, citrusy fruity. Sweet and moderate to heavy bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft carbonation.
3.6 On tap at Old Town Pour House. Pour is yellow/orange with a medium sized head. Notes of hoppy resin, honey, grapefruit, and light caramel.
3.0 I paid $15 for a six-pack. For that much money I expect more than what I got. Don’t get me wrong, it IS good, but I feel that you can get just as good or better for cheaper.
3.7 07.04.18 Version Pours a slightly hazed golden with white head. Citrus fruit aroma and taste. Dank and sticky. Notes: can in KC, Jun ‘18
4.1 An “un-unfiltered IPA”, which I guess means this pint is essentially the same as the filtered version of Enjoy By, and also explains why this unfiltered beer is so damn clear. What I can’t explain is why I don’t rate the two identically, but, hell, I can’t explain most of the things I say or do. Tasty, regardless. Guess I’ll rerate it when I try the non-whoops version.
3.1 Canned May 29th. Pours lightly hazed gold with an inch of foam after things settle down. Very good lacing. Smells dank, grapefruit, onions, bitter for sure, no noticeable alcohol. Grapefruit and onion dankness and bitterness dominate the taste. Alcohol again doesn't seem to be a factor. I will say that the taste comes across as rough for me and the mouthfeel is scratchy. Ok.
3.8 Nice unfiltered IPA. Great aroma. Bright citrus, some resin, some pine. Pretty chewy.
3.6 Pretty clean pour for being unfiltered. Soft golden amber color with one finger off-white head. Sharp aroma with alcohol upfront, smells like they put like a dozen types of hops in here.....oh wait. They fucking did. Aroma is nondescript and hoppy, light floral note, citrus, booze. Just smells like hoppy and nothing in particular. Hoppy in the flavor with some citrus. Grassy. Not super impressive. Boozy double IPA with nondescript hop character.
4.1 1/7/18: Enjoy by 12/25/17 (two weeks late unfortunately) on draft at The Garage ($7.50), double unfiltered IPA. Cloudy and murky orange pour, puffy one finger cloudy white head. Citrus hops predominant aroma. Taste of very strong hops and bitterness, which I completely enjoyed. Nicely balances with citrus, apple and ginger in that order. Thin mouth feel, carbonation holds, nice texture. Overall very good offering by Stone!
3.9 On draught from 12/25/17 batch at Bob's Bar during the "Actual Peanut Butter Fat Julian Cask!" event on 12/01/2017. The beer is a cloudy amber-bronze color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Strings of lace. Citrus, herbal hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of citrus, piney hops and malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
1.2 Can from Village Beer Merchant, as Stone Enjoy By 12.25.17 Unfiltered IPA. Bit of caramel, very medicinal, alcoholic, bitter. Quite unpleasant.
4.2 Christmas 12-25-17....Pours a nice orange colour with beige head and lacing. Aroma is floral rose, with grapefruit rind. Tastes of grapefruit and pine. A nice beer.
4.4 Xmas 2017. Super strong aroma juicy citrus, grapefruit, melon, flowers, and cascade like earthiness. Wow, the flavor is so juicy and floral, with some melon and lemon lime notes. One of the most fruit forward beers I've ever had. Lasting bitterness on the finish. Great beer.
3.1 Sampled on draft at Tapped this beer poured a hazy copper color with a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and left very good lacing. The aroma was bitter and tangy with pine and grapefruit. The flavor was bitter with pepper, grapefruit, pine, cactus, booziness and cracker. Long hoppy and boozy finish. Booziness grows and detracts. Moderately full bodied. Ok.
3.4 12-25-17. Draft at Mekong. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Has some peach and grapefruit notes on the nose and tongue. Finished with a fair amount of bitterness. Solid but not spectacular.
3.9 Enjoy by 12-25-17 version. Very cloudy golden with thick head. Strong aroma — yeasty hops, grapefruit rind. Big city’s flavors but balanced and smooth. Does not seem like 9.4% alcohol
4.0 Can from Wine Warehouse. Enjoy by 12-25-17. Pours slightly hazy gold with a large yellowish head. Aroma is tremendously juicy citrus including orange and grapefruit, pine, slight sweet flowers. Flavor is delightfully bittersweet citrus juice, including and especially orange but back-ended by grapefruit peel. A nice floral hint and a good pine backbone finish this off. Nice job.
3.3 -2017.12.25 ver. Too sweet. Deep orange colour. Sweet citrus aroma. Too much sweetness. It hides its booziness but it shouldn’t be this sweet.
3.8 Bottle from Whole Foods. Amber color, white. Bitter taste with citrus, floral hops, mango, resin, pine and toast. Bitter finish with citrus, hops, resin, pine and grass. Excellent imperial IPA.
3.8 Pours a clear golden yellow with a big foamy white head. Big aroma of citrus and light pine. Medium body with lots of clingy lacing. Full mouth feel of dank citrus and some light pine notes. Smooth finish with a pleasant lingering light bitterness. Not harsh or too bitter. Refreshing and enjoyable. Hides the alcohol well.
4.1 Bottle notes. Hazy gold with white head. Nose was florals, bittering hops, tropical citrus. Complex, hoppy, fruity flavor.
