3.0 Smooth lager with an excellent taste. Perfect for summer consumption. Definitely a must try for lager fans
2.6 Pours yellow gold with little head. Slight bitter taste that almost finishes slightly sweet. This beer grows on you so don't quit. The bitter taste stays long on the tongue. ---Rated via Beer Buddy
2.8 Bottle: The aroma is very light and consists of faint honey, apples, cereal, and a touch of grass. It pours a transparent gold with a one finger white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a thin soapy ring. There is some sporadic webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of honey that is quickly overtaken by light-moderate apple. The finish has light grass and lighter cereal notes. It’s light bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, I’m not digging the apple flavors.
3.9 Draft at field house. Crystal clean gold with creamy white head. Earthy and grainy. Mild sweetness and low hopping. On tasting, moderate malt profile, medium low bitterness. Clean ad crisp. Good helles overall.
3.0 Clear gold with a short, white head. Scent is grain, malt. Taste is mild and grassy. Very smooth, simple. A nice tasting little beer.
3.1 12 oz bottle pours golden with a white head. Aroma of grass, malt and a hint of bread. Taste is malts and grass.
3.6 In a taste test of 4 Helles lagers among three friends, this was our favorite. Smooth, a little bit creamy, subtle hoppiness with no unpleasant notes.
3.7 Enticing sweet smell. Great beer. Drinkable lager with crisp flavors. Good beer for just about anyone who likes beer. Spans across all types of people and preferences. Getting more respect for a well made lager more and more
3.3 Light yellow with a white head. Aroma is biscuit and pilsner malt. Flavor is pilsner malt with some biscuit and grass. Low bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
3.5 12 oz bottle. Pours pale golden wit short-lived, white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of grassy hops and pale malt. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is of grain, grassy hops and pale malt. Finish is clean, well balanced. Nice session brew.
3.5 Tap. Pours clear gold with rising fizzy white head; good retention and spare lacing. aroma is cereal and cookie malts, spicy and grassy hops, black pepper, lemon, and pear. Flavor is lightly sweet malts, light fruit esters, light floral hops, and a touch of spice; crisp, dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
3.5 Tap. Pours clear gold with a large, creamy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is cereal and grain malt with light spicy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with light hops and medium bitterness and a clean lager character with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation.
2.7 Typical run-of-the mill helles lager. Easy drinking, but nothing special.
3.4 Not Bad. Tried this for my kegerator at the recommendation of a friend. A bit foamy on the pour but thins out pretty nice. Goes down really smooth although I did notice a but of a tin taste which but I hope that’s just the keg. All in all not a bad beer but definitely not my first choice. I like my Lagers a bit darker but this would at the very least deserve a second chance.
3.1 Clear and light. Fruitiness flavor, goes down easy. Thin head. Lingering aftertaste that doesn’t seem to match
4.2 12 ounce bottle into pilsener glass, no bottle dating. Pours fairly clear golden straw color with a nice 1-2 finger dense fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big pear, grape, apple, pepper, bread, herbal, floral, grass, and earthy spiciness. Damn nice aromas with good strength, balance, and complexity. Taste of cracker, bready grain, apple, pear, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, light clove, and earthy spiciness. Lightly tart earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of bread, light fruits, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and earthy spiciness on the finish for a good bit. Nice amount of flavors with good balance; zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and crisp mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with almost zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very excellent Helles lager! Nice amount of flavors with good balance; extremely smooth and crisp to drink. A highly enjoyable offering as expected.
3.1 Straw colored pour. Nose is clean and grainy. Taste is English hops with a nice bite. A little tinny, don’t know if it’s the bottle or not. Clean finish.
3.1 Draft at craft ale house. Pours clear yellow with a small white head. The aroma Is bread and a little yeast. The taste is corn and a little wheat.
3.1 Slight, hoppy aroma, pours golden with a nice white head. Has a medium sweet taste with a lingering smooth finish. Very nice.
3.7 Somewhere: For some reason I have not had this earlier, as this is one of my favourite styles. Pour is gold (of course), head is white. Aroma is simple, but perfect for the style: bread, yeast, malts, and a hop. Body and taste compliment each other perfectly. No off notes. This is not too heavy like some overwrought American examples of the style. No, this is something you drink in two seconds and reach for another one. This beer is what pale lagers dream of being.
3.3 On draft at the Morris Tap & Grill in Randolph. A good example of this style and well done by an American brewer.
3.2 Bottle. Aroma is of hay, with slight flowery hoppy. Flavor of a classic lager. Golden color.
4.0 Brillantly clear golden straw colored beer. The white frothy head pours about a finger or so. Carbonation, I’d say is about average with big slow rising bubbles. Aroma is light being a lager and all but there is a nice malty backbone. Taste is of sweet malts. There are hints of toasted grains like in a vienna style. Also finishes with a grain or ceral taste. Medium body with a smooth and slightly dry finish. I like this beer becaue it’s light and refreshing and has a pleasent finish.
3.3 On tap at the black angus in Adamstown. Pours a pale yellow with a white head. Aroma of bread and light malt. Taste is light and crisp.
3.2 Poured into a Pilsener glass from a 12 ounce bottle best by 7-25-2012. A: Clear golden body with lots of carbonation steadily rising to the creamy white head. Head has good retention and leaves residue on the glass. S: Not much going on here, slight grassy aroma but overall pretty bland. T: Mild sweetness, slightly earthy flavor and some toasted flavors, not much else going on. M: Light crisp body. O: Easy drinking beer, I am enjoying it, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
3.0 355ml bottle pours a pale golden color with a small white head which leaves a few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is bold spicy hops with some cereal grains. Taste is a sharp hop bitterness which is pleasing and a nice malty sweetness to help balance things out. A very nicely done lager and highly recommended.
3.8 On tap at the brewery’s pub pours slight shade darker than straw yellow capped by foamy white head, light lacing remains. Nose is clean with hint of flowers. Nice cereal anf malt body with light bitterness. Grass and flower in the finish. Quite a compliment to the flyers win, the brat sandwich, and a one of a kind tour.
3.8 12 ounce bottle. Golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma of yeast and straw. Medium bodied taste with lively yet smooth malt finish. Might be the best US lager I’ve ever had.
3.4 12oz bottle. Mostly clear very pale yellow color. Good, thin white head. Good lace. Crisp carbonation, good smooth texture. Easy to drink. Nice, lightly sweet rich bready taste. Light crisp hops. Light lemon citrus. Good savory light sweet taste. Impressive and very well-put-together lager. Would be interesting to try this and Great Lakes Dortmunder side-by-side.
3.4 Malty aroma has a strong yeasty overtone. It pours a clear solar yellow with a rather average white head. Crisp, malty flavor has a grassy overtone and a firm yeasty note. Smooth, crisp texture has just a little fizz, enough so that you know this is beer. Just OK, but pick up a bottle if you have a chance.
