Pils is reflective of a traditional German-style Pilsener. It is delicately dry with a firm bitterness.Brilliant straw color with medium body, and noble hop aroma. A terrific thirst quencher. An Excellent aperitif.

4.0 Brown bottle into pilsner glass. A: Lightly golden brightish yellow with a good finger of jagged, well lasting head. Decent lacing. Carbonation seems to lesson quite a bit after a couple minutes. S: Definite bready malts with a spicy note that I attribute to the hops but maybe sort of toasty too. T: Much like the smell but the spicy hop character is much more fleshed out. The heavy bread/toast flavor has not died out though, creating a balance that I find both unusual and pleasant. There is a bottom note that I do not get in the nose, Which I’ll say is pleasantly surprising. M: Light as expected, but surprisingly "there" with a slight bitter oiliness that turns dry at the finish. Carbonation is a bit light but certainly passable. O: Impressive! This is what I’ve been enjoying finding in the pilsner style. Straight simple and refreshing. Quite distinctive beer but not much to overcomplicate or muck up the taste. Refreshing as hell but way too good for the lawnmower! Too bad this is so expensive at $12/6 or I’d buy it regularly.
3.7 bottle @ Jungle Jim’s / Eastgate OH --- Clear medium amber with a full white head cover, streaks of lace. Taste is semi-sweet malt that is countered by medium hops on the swallow, with both parts lingering in a medium finish. In one sense, a basic brew, but oh, so very well done. Balanced, low abv, tasty, perfect for relaxing or sessioning. Recommended.
3.9 Bottle to shaker glass. Pours slightly hazy straw yellow, two finger head, some lacing and retention. Aroma of hay and Saaz hops. Taste is wonderfully balanced between the noble saaz hop bitter and the light malts. Light bodied, lively bitterness and crisp mouth feel. Finishes slightly bitter and clean with notes of honey, light citrus, wildflowers and grass. This is a great pilsner!
3.5 12 oz. bottle from Lighthouse. It pours a brilliantly clear golden yellow color with a small white head. The aroma is very bready/malty with light notes of noble hops. The flavor has stronger noble hops, a full body with fat pale malts and a spicy, strong bitterness in the finish. Good stuff. Could be a bit more aromatic.
3.4 [on tap at Local 50, PHI airport] Aroma of hay and fresh, sweet and spicy noble Saaz hops. Clear straw under a persistent white cover and lace. Slightly lagery sulfur together with dry pilsner malt, spicy hops, and an assertive bitterness. Balance is a bit too far towards bitter. Medium-light body, moderate-medium carbonation, lingering bitterness.
2.8 Bottle. Slightly hazy light gold pour with a lasting foamy off-white head. Light but solid pils. Nice dry grassy finish.
3.2 Crisp flavor, hint of grain but nice malt profile. Hops work well and are to style. Fresh and familiar.
2.7 Another pilsener without much good saaz hops. Pours golden with good head and lacing. Finishes with light bitterness. Smells nice. Some sweetness here. Watery texture. On tap at DC Summerfest.
3.4 Hazy straw yellow with a soapy white head that hangs out and laces robustly. Aroma is wheat and grass. Taste is crisp grains and noble hops with a bit of lemon and honey. A very good pilsner that balanced sweetness with some finishing bitterness.
3.3 Bottle: Pours clear, yellow-gold with a whipped white head. Lemon, barley malt, sour grain aroma. Taste is grain, grassy bitter hops.... Pretty nice Pils.
3.0 On draft. Clear straw color. Little head. Slightly hop aroma. A decent bitterness taste. Pretty good pils.
3.0 Comes out as crystal clear, very light yellow with a giant and dense white head. Crisp but barely-there aroma, Deutsche hops with hints of white wine. Similarly weak flavor, a little sweet and a little hoppy. An intense lingering spiciness is probably the highlight of this beer, other than the really well-balanced mouthfeel. There’s a ton of excellent German-style lagers coming out, this is decent but can’t roll with a lot that you can find these days.
3.5 Hoppy and fruity. Balanced. A beer like this makes me want to purchase cases again. In PA, that is a full commitment to make.
3.4 Pours a golden color with lacy white head. Aroma is cream of wheat and plenty of catty german hops that have faded.
3.3 GABF 2013. Pours a clear golden appearance with a white head. Cereal, a bit grainy, herbal, light grassy, floral aroma. Pretty nice noble hops in the flavor along with some lightly toasted malts and light lemon. Ok.
3.4 Draft at Fries Cafe. Pours a clear gold with a finger of white head that doesn’t last long. The aroma is lighter, with a clean malt character; pale, pils, cracker, cereal. The flavor is equally malty, with a light grassy and herbal balancing hop character. Some bitter florals late. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a clean, dry, malty mouthfeel. Really nice pils.
3.9 stoudts does a good job with german styles (especially their kölsch). this has got the right rich dry pils malt aroma with clean lager yeast aromatics. walking the line between apparent lightness and hearty pale malt heft. not overly bitter/hoppy. good version of the style.
3.1 Bottle. Pours a clear pale yellow with a large sudsy white head which lasted for a bit and left some thick lacing. Nose is grainy sweetness with some earth and hop notes. More sweet than bitter in the mouth with more cereal grain and some hay. A little bitterness in the finish. Not that dry or crisp. Okay but maybe a not so fresh bottle.
3.3 Bottle: The aroma consists of honey, cereal, faint fruit, and a touch of grass. It pours a transparent gold with a small white head that quickly fades to a thin film. There is some thin webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with honey and a touch of cereal/grains. The finish has light grass, and just a touch of lemon. It’s light-medium bodied with somewhat carbonation and mouthfeel. Overall, a little sweeter than I like my Pilsners.
2.9 Draft at field house. Pours a clear gold with persistent white head. Nose is earthy and sweet with pils malt, honey and herbal hop notes. On taste, big and sharp bitterness, nearing harsh. Low sweetness and missing complexity and hop flavor. Doughy and just misses overall. Too bitter.
3.2 Pale yellow with foamy thin white head; aroma slight grainy and alcohol aroma;Flava is slightly malt grain and some hoppy dryness; feel light crisp and foamy fizziness; finishes dry and slightly grainy grassiness
3.9 Poured as part of a flight. Not much head, light lacing and a bit of pine on the nose. Poured very carbonated, maybe too much so. A bit of lemon on the palate, light and crisp. Good hot weather beer.
3.8 12 Oz bottle poured into a flute, nice lasting head with some lacing, bread, hay, citrus, dough, lightly hopped, could drink all day
2.9 On draft at Pony bar HK with Paul. Pours a clear golden body with thin white head. Aroma is grassy hop, crisp malt and diacetyl. Mouthfeel is light, crisp and somewhat refreshing, it the metallic / diacetyl flavor wasnt as strong this would be much more sessionable.
3.4 Bottle:   Straw with an golden tinge, sudsy white head, moderate, sparce lacing.   Barnish grassy nose, bright hay, not too sweet.   Smells somewhat sharp.   Dried straw on the tongue, smidgen of sweatmeal.   Has a little bit of this sweet cracker or biscuit aspect.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate, perhaps a little fuller than others.   Clean backside, with lots of sweet hay.   Not too bright, but flavorful and clean.   Rather tasty!
2.8 On tap. Pours golden yellow with a nice pillowy white head. Aroma of pale malts, very grainy and earthy. Taste is also grainy, malty, with an earthy hop finish.
3.1 From AC Beer Fest 2013. Grassy, malty aromas, true to the style. The appearance is clear gold, white head. The flavor is subdued, grass, pilsner malt. The finish has a grassy, noble pils bitter quality. Medium in body. Not bad.
3.5 Very solid german pilsner. Exactly what it should taste like. Now 3rd favorite behind victory prima and sly fox pike land. Lots of peppery saaz hop flavor. Nice complete experience.
3.3 Gold with a short white lacing head. Slight butter. Sweet apple. Soft carb. Mild hop. Crusty bread yeast.
3.8 Muchas Gracias to Durhambeer for sending this long-wanted Classic German Pilsner my way! Pours a pretty pale golden color with a medium sized white head and some lacing on the glass. The aroma is a touch sweet, with some cidery and light fruity hop character. The flavor is very crisp and nicely dry. Plenty of noble hop character to go around, very herbal, a touch peppery with a big bitterness. The beer has a touch of cidery sweetness and some crisp and husky malt flavors.
