2.9 5.1 oz. sampler can. 5.0 ABV. Pours a crystal clear light gold color with a tiny white head and poor retention. Spots of lacing. Strong apple aroma. Sweet apple cider flavor with a dryer finish than I hoped/expected.
3.2 Solid standard cider, not very fruity or dry. Leaves a sweet taste in the mouth that doesn’t entice you for another drink
3.4 (5.1oz can) - Fantastic aroma of freshly pressed apples. Crystal clear golden color. Very sweet flavor. Like biting into a juicy Honeycrisp Apple. Only a little alcohol on the end. I could get into trouble with this one!
3.7 Vo vlaku. Vona vyrazna jablkova. Farba zlatista. Chut jablkova sladkasta perliva. Prijemny.
3.1 Pours clean with a golden hue. Very little head. Nice citric aroma but a bit light in taste. A decent cider for the price!
3.1 golden, clear, minimal head, white foam, medium sweetness, medium sourness, light body, thin feel This has a very pleasing color to it. It has a strong apple flavor, is pretty sweet, and has a nice tartness to it. All things I really like in a cider.
2.4 Can. Like most of Strongbow's line this is also too sweet, although not as sweet as some of the others. Apple aroma and sweet apple juice flavor.
2.7 Aroma: Apple, sweet, frutal Appearance: golden, clear, Taste: light sweetness, fruity, apple, Palate: light body, thin feel, average carbonation,
3.1 15/VII/18 - on tap @ Gentopia (Kinderdorp Gentse Feesten) - BB: n/a (2018-839) Note: not entirely sure it's this version, but it was draft, so not a super rare one, yet also not very sweet and sugary, so I'm guessing it's this one. Also, the banners on the stand showed pictures of the Gold and some fruit variety. As to be expected, the ones tapping had no clue... Clear bright yellow cider, no head, just a couple of small bubbles at the rim of the glass. Aroma: apple juice, apple skin, green and yellow apple, slightly sweet impression, doesn't smell too bad actually. MF: very lively carbon (probably because it's on draft), medium body. Taste: alcohol kick up front (weird), little bitter, bit sourish, apple juice, bit sugary but not overly sweet. I've had much sweeter and worse ciders than this one, TBH. Question is of course what they've added, probably a bunch of chemical stuff. Hell, I'll look it up. Here you go: "Water, cider (fermented apple juice with glucose), glucose-fructose syrup, caramel, citric acid, carbon dioxide, sodium metabisulhite, natural flavouring, sulphites"
2.7 Sampled from 0.5 l can from local 'LIDL' as ' Strongbow Gold Apple' at 4.5% abv, best before May 2019. Clear, pale golden with a thin, fluffy, quickly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a little sourish, quite fruity and just a little artificial aroma of green apples and hints of pear. Quite sweet, minimally sourish, quite fruity and minimally artificial taste of green apples and some pear, followed by a short, slightly tart, a bit dry finish. Thin to medium body, quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Decent cider, but too sweet.
3.2 Clear brilliant honey gold with a fast fading white cap. Sweet fleshy golden apple aroma. Smooth albeit almost candy-sweet flavor with a effervescent body and big apple juice tones. Tastes a little like a children’s drink.
3.3 5.1 ounce can from a really cheap and cool 4 pack sampler pack. Pours a clear golden hue. A nice sweet apple nose. Sugary, very sweet, almost slick apples. Fleshy sweet apples. Not bad.
2.9 Cydr klarowny, piana delikatnie zdobi szkło. W aromacie jabłka, tani szampan. W smaku dosyć słodkie z minimalną kwaśnościa.
3.4 Clear golden pour with an intense apple aroma. Flavor is very sweet apple cider, slight tartness at the start with sweet finish.
3.4 11.2 oz bottle. Aroma is apples, wet stone. Pours crystal clear pale golden with a thin crackling white head that falls immediately into a ring. Taste is sweet and tart and basic as cider can be. It tastes good and is simple and clean with no off flavors. It's definitely not exciting, but I didn't expect it to be. It is what it is, as thousands of dipshits say every day.
4.0 Smell is nice and sweet...flavorful...taste is also sweet and tasty...good complexity and not too watery...had at SWANA 2018 hospitality suite
3.3 Can. It poured a clear gold with a thin white head. It has a apple aroma with notes of green apple jolly rancher candy. Little tart but very smooth, especially after doing lawn work all afternoon.
2.4 Prakticky tady přidávám tento komentář, jen aby tady něco bylo, protože zpětně dopisuji 900 piv z mého seznamu a asi bych se musel u toho zbláznit.
3.0 60 Р. Брать можно. Льёт Хайникен по "лицензии", на удивление хорошо льёт. Однако, в последний раз стал чрезмерно бить в нос запах браги и вкус дрожжей-whatever. Надо будет сделать контрольную закупку.
1.8 International lager - what else to say? Smells and tastes like all the others.
2.1 330 ml bottle. Pours with a clear, golden color and only a tiny white head. Nose is apples, sugar. Taste is sweet, apples, slightly malty, spicy with a nice dry finish. Not bad.
3.3 Pint can at the upper level bar in the Chicago OTC station, poured to a shaker displaying a clear & bright, golden tone, with quickly diminishing, white foam to a thin ring, and light spots of lacing. The nose & flavor were similarly tart & tangy yet sweet, with apple, and a subtle hint of spice as cinnamon. Light bodied, with lively carbonation, offering a refreshing change of pace after a day of craft sampling.
2.8 2017.09.15: A fine regular apple cider. Clear golden appearance and medium sweet taste of apples. Refreshing!
3.3 Cider number 2 for tonight, can from LCBO. Pours a light golden-yellow colour with a big frothy white cap, and long stay with creamy thick lacing. Don't think I ever got that from a cider (as usually fizzes away quickly). Apple nose at first, but not too crazy, and seems like real apples. Maybe some yellow apples. Quite malty, then yeasty and even some hops it seems in the end. The taste is a little sweeter, but not to rich, to not like. Apples and good sugars will say. Don't remember Strongbow feeling like you are drinking a beer, but an apple one. This "Gold" one sure seams like it. Pretty nice!
2.8 Got a little 5.1 ounce CAN sampler. Yep it's apple cider. Decent but not beer. And that's about all I have to say about that.
3.2 5 oz can poured a clear gold with a lingering ring of white foam. Aromas of apple and a hint of vinegar. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of apple and a hint of honey with a crisp dry lingering apple finish.
2.7 Strongbow "Gold Apple" offers a very strong, unidimensional flavor of green apple candy. Drinkable though not particularly moreish, and a medium body, a bit on the sweet side. Disappointingly fake. Can at Cedar Cultural Center (Sharon Shannon concert), Minneapolis.
3.0 5.1 Ounce can poured to tulip glass Sight: Light amber/golden liquid no foam Aroma: smells like apple juice Taste: Sweet Mouth feel: low carbonation, some tartness, dry finish Overall: fair cider
3.7 Apple and pear in the fragrance. Gold, transparent, without foam. In taste, too, as in the fragrance and plus a little sweetness. Light body, medium carbonization.
2.5 Bottle at home clear golden body with a small white head. Apples, sugar, apple juice. Sweetness.
