Hollandiából kaptam. Köszi Józsika. Ha Struise, nagy baj nem lehet. Cigánymeggy, éretlen meggy, komplex, kesernyés, konyakos/kávés illat, aszalt meggy, meggymag, keserű mandula, sűrű. Kiváló ital.

Pours a concord grape juice color, with light haze and most sediment left behind. Off-white head fades steadily to a ring.
Fruity and malty with barrel tannin, acidity and tons of various fruity esters. No big alcohol nor any real oxidation. Basically the ultimate BSA. Everything you want ester and phenol wise and nothing you don't. No clove, heavy pepper, wax, bread, bubble gum, banana...etc...etc...just malt, fruity esters, light phenols and light mineral.
In the mouth it's soft, with fuzzy, tight carbonation, good attenuation and lovely yeast-driven acidity that balances the rich maltiness while strong attenuation leaves it dry, but not too much so, on the finish. Fruity and even, with hints of wine, raisin, chocolate and honey. About as good as it gets for a Belgian Strong Ale. So much flavor and balance and using no wild yeast or bacteria at all to achieve it. So clean, free of alcohol....etc...the list goes on. Ya, these guys know what they're doing when it comes to classic Belgian beers.
Bottle from Bruges. Pours deep ruby with a good tan head. Aroma is sweet, spicy, fruity. The flavour is sour with chocolate, tart red wine, light smoke. Some mixed spice in there. Very complex but easy drinking too. Love it.
bottle (2009), huge thanks to kappldav123! Deep brown colour, beige head, huge and fluffy. Sorish fruity flavours with licorice, a yeasty fruity touch and earthy hops. Not too sour, very wel balanced with a smooth and velvety palate. Delicious!
Many thanks to Kappldav123 for sharing! Aardnon 2009 - Bottled on 18/02/2016. Fantastic smooth sourish beginning. Red fruits, dark intense malts, nice sessionable. The body is deep, fruity with red sourish character, deep with no booze. Wood in the back, fruity sourness with a malty deep aftertaste. Very interesting!
Аромат слегка ликерный, даже коньячный, ягодный, включая бруснику и рябину. Цвет полу прозрачный, темно-коричневый, абсолютно без пены. Вкус не такой тяжелый на тело как ожидалось. Очень винный, с легким алкоголем, много зимних ягод. При глотке ощущаются сладкие нотки и сухость. Яблочной квашенности почти нету. В целом максимально далекий напиток от так называемого пива. И не сказать что он от этого выигрывает.
2009 vintage, 33cl bottle i bought at the Struise bottle shop in Bruges. Pours a murky, dark garnet amber, nearing brown with basically no head. Nose is interesting, cherries, vanilla, whiskey, big cherry pie, some cheap red wine, a little port. Flavor is the same, cherry and cherry cordial, light booze/schnapps, some milk chocolate, some caramel, some cherry soda, light acid. Finishes a little creamy, a little boozy, a little tart.

Dyb mørkebrun med lavt, spredt skum.
Heftig og vinøs aroma. Fad, røde bær, eddike, kanel.
Næsten ingen karbonering, høj syre. Tydeligt fadpræg, smager som gammel vin fra bordeaux.
Ikke letdrikkelig.

Color marrón oscuro, casi negro, algo rojizo si le da la luz, turbio, con capa de espuma marrón de dos dedos de grosor y retención más que decente. Carbonatación suave. Textura oleosa. Aroma raro y apetecible a ratos. Madera, caramelo, fruta madura, ligera acidez, toques acéticos aquí y acullá, oxidación. En boca hay caramelo, madera, fruta madura, recuerdos de Oporto y Cognac, acidez bien medida (quizá demasiado bien medida, de hecho), mismos toques acéticos por momentos y misma sensación de oxidación. Rica pero algo rancia en aroma, creo que más joven hubiera ofrecido otro perfil más interesante (no digo mejor, solo más interesante). Postgusto ligeramente ácido, a madera y fruta madura. Interesante mezcla que no llega a "flipar", pero interesa, desde luego. Struise siempre interesa.
Konfitura truskawkowa, poziomki, jagody, porto, miód, toffi w aromacie. Bardzo gładkie w ustach. Świetny balans. Winne, ale słodkie w typie porto z delikatnym cierpkim, może kwaskowym nawet finiszem. W smaku wiecej owoców w typie wiśni, nalewki z ałyczy. Lekko musujące na języku. W czasie degustacji słodycz postępująca względem mniejszej kwaśności na jego końcu.
Bottleshare watching women's football - thanks @Slackermads. Pours murky dark red/brown with a lasting and good lacing creamy light brown small head. Aroma is quite malty and fruity with figs, plum, toasted malt, vinegear, dark sugars, wood and tart fruit. Taste is medium sweet and medium tart. Body is medium, texture is creamy, carbonation is low+. Finish is dry and tart and the acidity last only shortly while plum and toasted malt lingers on. Deliciously integrated acidity and no greasy residue resulting in a nice drinkability.
Bottle shared with pentaz at a football field on Enghavevej. Murky brown with a small light brown head with good retention. Tobacco, dark wood, mild red berries, caramel, earthy notes, dark dried fruits and plums. Medium body, mild to medium sweet with balanced sourness. Drinks easy for the strength and overall comes together well.
Flaska från Etre Gourmete drucken med ölföreningen. Smak och doft av choklad, farinsocker, katrinplommon, russin, körsbär med toner av rött vin och fat. Mjuk och rund med lätt syrlighet, lagom sötma, fin balans och beska. Gott.
Bottle pour, courtesy of Joet. Thanks! A purplish brown pour. Disappearing head. Dark fruit, sweet and sour nose. Flavor is a rich plum juice like constant. Red grape. Sour, but sweet as well to pair. Jammy sour, a thick body. Flavorful and truly unique. A touch balsamic. Very fun sour here.
Bottle in Seattle. So many thanks to Joet. Fascinating. Very dark, malty brown, foamy ring. Fruity edges cherry brown malt. Smooth, oily body with lots of Flanders character. Woody depth, foamy infection body that compliments the style. Soy. Fascinating.

Quite dark colour. Full body, medium sourness. Lots of plums, figs, dry fruits, some quadrupel notes, wood, nuts, even chocolate. Very interesting.
Bottle, pours a dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma is tart, with winey woody tannins, berries and cherries, light roast. Taste follows with balsamic vinegar notes, more fruity goodness, earthy notes. Nice....
Piwo ciemno brązowe z rubinowymi refleksami, nawet klarowne. Piana szybko redukuje się do pierścienia oblepiającego ścianki szkła. W aromacie intensywnie winne i czuć dużo ciemnych owoców takich jak czereśnia, wiśnia, śliwka itp. Jest też lekka wanilia od beczki, orzechowość,pojawiają się też suszone owoce oraz subtelna czekoladka. W smaku bardzo kwaśne, goryczkowe i taniczne. Czuć ewidentnie drewniane posmaki. Jest również bardzo winne i wytrawne. Występują także ciemne owoce, orzechy i ziołowo- przyprawowe wkrętki. Wysycenie niskie, sporo ciała, fajna gładka faktura. Piwo bardzo dobre, złożone i wymagające- do powolnego sączenia.
W aromacie nuty winne, wiśnie, suszone owoce, toffi, bombonierka, lekko pestkowe, mega wyczuwalna beczka. W smaku kwaśne wiśnie, słodkie rodzynki. Na finiszu taniczne, ściągające, cierpkie, lekko słodkie śliwki w czekoladzie, likier, bardzo długi i intensywny posmak. Wysycenie niskie, alkohol prawie niewyczuwalny, sporo ciała, gładkie, ułożone, intensywne, całkiem degustacyjne, bo można się delektować z godzinę.
Piekna brazowo-bordowa barwa, pianka pozostaje w obraczce. W aromacie figi, suszone sliwki, chateau, rodzynki, wisnie, troche praliny, likierowosci. Bardzo duzo nut barley wine’owych. W smaku duzo czerwonych winogron w calosci z pestkami i beczkowe nuty, poza tym wisnie, sliwka wegierka, czerwona porzeczka, karmel lekko. Czekolada na finiszu i przyjemna owocowa cierpkosc. Cialo bardzo duze, wysycenie niskie. Szlachetny alkohol. Suszone owoce pozostaja na podniebieniu na dlugo.
33cl bottle at home, bought at Burg Bieren Bierwinkel, Ermelo. Vintage 2009, bottle date 18-02-2016. Appearance: dark brown to black with medium, beige head. Aroma: red fruits, lactic/dairy sourness, red wine, raisins, some butter/butterscotch. Taste: high sweetness, medium bitterness and subtle tartness. Notes of red fruits, caramel, red wine, raisins, some tobacco. Finish is a bit wry with red wine notes. Palate: medium bodied, oily texture and soft carbonation. Interesting combination! I'm not a huge fan of this style, but this one is really enjoyable.

Nose is damp wood, light booze, spice, oaky, red berry tang, dried fruits, damp hay.
Taste comprises earthy fruit rinds, berry pips, red grape must, spice, wild berries, toffee, vinouse, berry fruit balsams, apple core.
Medium boided with bite, fine carbonation, drying close with some acidic rip.
Decent enough sour but expected a little more given the scores.
33 cl bottle served in snifter. Poured dark brown almost black with one finger tan head. Aroma: Chocolate, green Apples, tart, raisins, barnyard, coffee, plums. Taste: Chocolate, raisins, plums, cherries, coffee, tart, sour, dates, red wine vinegar, dried fruits, toffee, fudge, vanilla, earth, vinous, Wood, green apples, truffles. Medium to full body with a sour dry finish. Delicious delicatesse...
330ml bottle, 2009 vintage from Struise Bruges shop, tasted just after the 2008 Aardmonnik. Deep dark opaque red-brown with generous tan head after a vigorous pour. Great aromas of red wine, balsamic, red fruits, sweet toffee. The taste is very elegant and quite reminiscent of a good dry red wine, with added cherry and blackcurrant sweetness, balsamic tartness, no notable hop or yeast flavour. Very red wine like dry oak astringency, medium bodied, moderate carbonation. The Chateau Margaux barrels have really worked their magic on this one, it's like a fine red wine with added Flemish Red complexity and highly enjoyable.
Flaska från Etre Gourmete drucken med ölföreningen. Komplex på gränsen till astringent för det händer så mycket i munnen. Mjuk och rund med mjuk syrlighet. Nästan lite platt kropp, russin, körsbär, plommon, söt rött vin, fat, bränt socker och en del kärnbeska och tanniner som bjuder motstånd. Lite svårflörtad men också riktigt spännande. Gott.

Aromat intensywny i złozony. Na pierwszym planie czerwone wytrawne wino, po chwili ustępuje miejsca suszonym owocom (figi, daktyle, rodzynki, banany), w tle niuanse mocno kwaśnej kawy.
W smaku lekko słodowa słodycz, przykrywana jest średniej wysokości kwaśnością. Dużo suszonych owoców, posmak kawy, lekka jakby palona kwaśność. Finisz lekko cierpki, cytrynowy, z wyczuwalnym alkoholem. Bardzo kompleksowe przez bogatą stroną słodową.
Pours brown with a beige head. Aroma of butterscotch, caramel, balsamic, dark fruits, vanilla, sweet esters and black currant. Taste of balsamic, dark dried fruits, sweet esters, caramel and slight black currant. This is really awesome!
