3.7 Bottle. Vintage 2015 according to the label, although I doubt whether there are more vintages or not. Color: Ruby, off-white head. Aroma: Sweetish, yeast, caramel, booze, herbal hints. Taste: Fruity, notes of dried yellow fruit (apricots, apple) and dates. Caramel notes, hints of herbs, bit boozy. Medium sweet, lightly bitter. Bit more boozy at finish. Herbal and grassy bitterness, combined with caramel notes and dry mouthfeel at finish. Over medium body, average carbonation. A Saison like I have never tasted a Saison before and boozier than any Saison that I have tasted before. Pretty complex, well balanced. Nice one.

4.2 330 ml bottle 'Vintage 2015' bought at HKBWEX in Mong Kok. Looks: Cloudy hazy copper brown colour with a thick layer of dirt-like yeast sediments; Three finger head with crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 5 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with active small carbonation. Aroma: Very fragrant malt, with strong plums, figs, honey, strong caramel, toffee, strong alcohol, floral, brown sugar, spices, dark bread, strong Bel yeast, lemon and grass. Taste: Mid to strong sweet malt, with strong plums, honey, strong alcohol, caramel, toffee, floral, brown sugar, strong spices, herbs, dry biscuits, strong Bel yeast, lemon and very strong bitter grassy hops. Body: Full body. Very slick and creamy palate. Mouth Feel: Excellent maltyness in a thick and smooth background. Full-on plums and dark fruits attack followed closely with strong booze. Distinct honey herbal with caramel and toffee. Flowery with nice brown sugar balanced by strong hops, with superb Bel yeast for very spicy biscuit with strong lemon to round. Intensely nice! Alcohol: the 11% booze is very upfront to the nose, but tastes surprisingly mellow with no knock on whatsoever. The brown sugar is not overtly sweet at all, almost like a well-made Dubbel. Amazing! Hoppiness: Floral, spices, lemon and grass in nose, same in taste but stronger; Bitterness is strong for a lasting, high astringent bitter-sweet caramel malty finish. After Taste: Dry. Boozy spicy dark fruity and strong bitter to mouth. Comments: My oh my! This is labeled a Super Saison, but with a taste more like a fire-up Dubbel, with unmistakable caramel dark fruityness on top of a crisp pale malty backdrop with superbly managed strong booze. The Bel yeast plays a big part to this great taste. A beauty!

3.3 #2098 Bottle. Hazy, copper to amber, medium white head. Aroma of honey, caramel, apples, alcohol. Taste is semi-sweet, tart, bitter finish. Caramel, alcohol, berries, rowanberries, walnuts, nutmeag, vanilla. Fuller body, high carbonation. Not my style...

3.3 Bottle 0.33l, Vintage 2015. Cloudy, amber colored. AROMA- fermented, caramel, fruity, pleasant alcohol. FLAVOR- lightly sour, not dry, lightly bitter, alcohol, licorice, caramel, fruity, spicy. Full bodied. Much more Belgian Strong than Saison, average one.

3.8 A lightly hazed golden ale with a thick frothy lacing off white head. In aroma, nice sweet caramel malt with candy sugar, light curacao, light licorice, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel malt with loads of candy sugar, light curacao, licorice, alcohol warmth, light perfumy notes, very nice and smooth. Bottle about two years old.

4.2 Piwo o barwie bursztynowej z obfitą, drobno-pęcherzykową pianą. Aromat niezwykle przyjemny, w którym dominują cytrusy oraz odrobina rodzynków i karmelu. W smaku owocowo-karmelowe z odrobiną goryczki. Wysycenie dość wysokie, ale nie przesadzone. Bardzo dobre piwo.

3.3 Bouteille millésimée 2015, bue après plus de 2 ans. Robe cuivrée et légèrement trouble surmontée d'un généreux col de mousse blanchâtre et assez onctueux. Arômes de malt caramélisé, marmelade à l'orange, herbes mielleuses, poire dans le sirop, beurre de pommes. En bouche, malt caramélisé, orange confite, houblons herbacés sur le déclin, liqueur aromatisée au miel, fruits du verger séchés. Amertume assez prononcée de saveurs vieillottes et quasi grillées, zeste d'orange, houblons nobles auxquels n'ont survécus que leurs goût séché. Finale où l'alcool semble vouloir faire cavalier seul. Texture un peu huileuse qui devient sèche, corps mince à moyen. Dommage que la deuxième vague est venue gâcher les saveurs qui partaient sur un bon pied.

4.0 25-12-17 // bottle. 2015 Vintage. Unclear orange brown. Foamy head. High carbo. Wild, sweet malty nose. Aroma of sweet malts, dried fruits, funky. Mild bitter.

3.8 Bottle. Bronze coloured beer with a strong head. The aroma is fruity with a little sourness. The flavour is strongly spiced and bitter with richness. Overall a nice spiced and bitter beer.

4.5 Cuvée 2015, mon exemplaire avait beau pouvoir tenir jusqu'en 2020, il avait déjà un bon vieillissement. Et j'ai peu que celui-ci est fait perdre le côté rafraîchissant des saisons pour aller sur des arômes plus lourds en bouche qui ne lui siéent pas tout à fait. Par contre difficile de ne pas apprécier le travail, l'intensité aromatique et l'équilibre entre amertume/alcool/sucre. En verre, nous sommes sur un ambré merisier très légèrement voilé et une mousse blanc cassé crémeuse de 2 cm d'épaisseur. Le nez présente une belle complexité sur le miel, le caramel, les fruits confits, le résineux ainsi que des touches d'épices. L'attaque, sur une belle amertume fraîche, présente les arômes présents déjà au nez. Ceux-ci, très denses et quasi saturés confèrent cependant une certaine lourdeur en bouche. Lourdeur qui se confirme par la suite avec une très forte présence en bouche alliée au trio alcool/sucre/amertume qui monte en puissance. La corpulence est assez incroyable. Par contre côté progression aromatique, pas grand chose, l'arrière bouche est linéaire et la troisième bouche et le final, qui montent en amertume n'apportent pas davantage de saveurs. A noter tout de même une longueur très marquée et un alcool très bien intégré. Les 59 d'IBU ne se ressentent pas à ce niveau, mais avec un sucre et un alcool plutôt haut dosé, rien de plus normal. J'admire le travail, mais ne suis pas charmé. le temps ne réussi pas à tous.

3.8 Bottlw @ home. Light amber colour with a medium sized offwhite head. Smells fruity (plum, blueberry), sweet, raisins, malty. Tastes both sweet and slightly sour, fruity, malts, wood, grapes, grapepeel, cherry. Medium to full body, nice soft to medium carbo.

4.6 Bottle of 2015. Hazy amber ale, off-white frothy head. Well-lacing. Aroma: massive sweet malts, melon, dried apricot, candy, some spicy, a perfumey touch. Fine. Full body. Robust malts start the taste. Not overly sweet. Fruity, spicy. The ending is really dry and well-hopped. The spicy notes from yeast and hops are nicely blended together. Complex beer. Wonderful experience. Pleasure.

3.9 Vintage 2015. Saison? nawet nie podobny. Mocne wnet przeszkadajacy mocny alkohol. Wyglad piany tak spory jak te Strusie. Barwa miodowo herbaciana, metnawe. W smaku drewno, melasa, nieco kwaskowosci i gruszkowo-agrestowy przecier. Smak dobry i zaskakujacy. Ocena ponizej 4 bo za ten spirytusowy smak poczatkowy

3.2 Bottle. Clear reddish color With medium creamy White mostly lastning head. Malty aroma. Sweet and bitter flavor.

3.7 Bottle @ Nuetnigenough, Brussels 20170804. [ vintage 2015 ]. Malty and fruity with dried fruits, caramely, sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, bitter and fruity with alcoholic notes.

3.9 the aroma is fruity and spicy with hints of caramel malt, toffee, red wine, raisin and some herbs... the taste is fruity and caramel with notes of toffee, raisin, dried plum, bisquit, red wine and spicy grasses... sweet, dry and bitter aftertaste...

3.2 Bottle. 2015. Rich amber beer with a big dark cream head. Fruity and yeasty aroma with light alcohol. Caramel and alcohol flavor with fruitiness. Medium bodied. Caramel and alcohol lingers with fruitiness and light yeast.

3.0 Gekocht op 20/06/2015 bij een bezoekje aan het schooltje van de Struise Brouwers, Oost-Vleteren. Tip: als je bier van de struise brouwers wil kopen heb je een veel grotere keuze in hun biershop te Brugge, Burg 15-2 (naast de Basiliek van het Heilig Bloed), hij is open op donderdag, vrijdag en zaterdag van 12:00 tot 18:00. Om te proeven moet je inderdaad in het schooltje zijn. Geproefd op 11/10/2015. Aestatis - Vintage 2015 heeft een donker koperachtige kleur en is toch redelijk helder, het schuim heeft een amberkleurtje is gelijkmatig gevormd, je krijgt er veel van en het blijft tamelijk lang stabiel. Matige pareling opgemerkt. De geur is die van zoet fruit, met na een tijdje een sterke honinggeur, ook een zeer lichte houtgeur. Het aroma is er één van zoete caramel, honing, aardbei en abrikoos en ook wat perzikaroma. De smaak is wat zoet en tamelijk bitter ,in de mond is Aestatis - Vintage 2015 wat prikkelend, helemaal niet droog en rond volmondig. De nasmaak is vooral sterk hopbitter, deze blijft heel lang hangen is toch harmonisch van kwaliteit en zorgt zo voor een sterke nabitterheid. Het hoge alcoholgehalte blijft goed verborgen.

1.6 Vintage 2015. Orange hazy liquid, brown center with oranges outlines. Nose is heavy alcohol. Taste is alcohol, so strong I can’t finish my glass, need to drain pour, the only thing I can taste is booze, did it aged too long?

2.5 schenkt wazig oranje/gouden/amber met witte kraag. aroma van alcohol, alcohol, zoetig, rozijn, mout, iets zuur, Belgische gist, alcohol, rozijn alcohol, en oh ja had ik al gezegd alcohol. Smaken van wow... wat een alcohol... en zo onverwacht joh !.... donker fruit, alcohol, rozijn, alcohol, donker fruit, alcohol, en nog wat meer alcohol... nee dit is toch niets man... als ik pure alcohol wil drinken met enkel wat donker fruit neem ik wel een Struise Aestatis... oh wacht...

3.9 Deep amber-copper color with a monster frothy white head. Lightly floral with a peppery spiced floral aroma. Soft, but rounded and sweet flavor, some light notes of cardboard showing the age. Mostly malty with a light floral and pepper yeast character. Notes: 2015 bottle picked up in Bruges (Sep ’16), opened Mar ’17.
