3.6 Bottle 0.33l. Cloudy, amber colored. AROMA- vinous, forest berries, especially raspberries, caramel. FLAVOR- neutral to dry, fruity, berries again, non sweet honey. Fuller bodied. Very good.
3.8 33cl bottle at home from Beers of Belgium, Antwerpen. Nose is sourish fruity. Body is clear deep ruby brown, head is big, beige, creamy, mostly lasting, good lacing. Aroma is cherry, chocolate, raisin, brownie. Light sweet, medium bitter, light fruity sour. Finish is medium lasting hoppy slightly roasty medium bitter, light fruity sour, light alcohol warmth. Medium to full body, slick texture, average carbonation. Easy dessertish fruity beer, might be slightly off therefore the sourness, tasty though, nice one.
3.5 Bottle 33cl bought at Pelgrims Schaliënhuis in Temse. Pours hazy amber/brown with a big beige head leaving a nice lacing on the glass. Nose: hoppy, citrus, coriander, cardemom, liqueur; Taste: soft to medium carboration. A tea flavour, creamy texture with vanilla notes, hoppy, chocolate, pretty bitter, roasted malts, alcoholic warmth. Even a little bit spicy.
3.6 Bottle. Hazy brown color with white head. Aroma has malty, dark bread, citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is malty with quite long bitter and sour aftertaste. Flavors of malt, yeast, fruits, dark bread. A bit mixed as the beer is sour but hopped.
3.5 Rödbrun utan så mycket skum. Luktar russin och lite alkohol. Mjuk smak! Nästan ingen beska. Och lite russin. Den här är inte helt färsk (bbf 8/17), men jag tror jag gillar den bättre så här...
3.4 Clear amber, light beige head. Mild aroma, passionfruit, some citrus and malt. Flavour has lemon and light malt and hints of yeast. Finishes with a citrusy sourness. Not bad. Well within BBD but probably not super fresh...
3.8 33cl bottle at home. Hazy orange/brown with a medium slightly off-white head. Medium body with moderate carbonation. Nice bitter and subtle sweet tones. Caramel, malts, tropical fruits, pine and yeast. Nice!
3.2 Pours a hazy dark amber red body with rocky yellowish head. Aroma of peach, wheat, a bit of sulfur, grains and grapes. Taste of lychees, grapes and caramel. An unusual IPA. Soft carbonation light medium body with medium texture and long sour aftertaste.
3.4 Bottle, BB 08.17 (from beergium). Pours amber with beige head. The head stays. Aroma is sweet, grass, caramel, sourness. Flavor is sweet and sour with some bitterness, slight acid, berries, grass, malt, pine. Finish is dry-pine bitter with some hot alcohol. Overall: possibly bit off despite the BB, but generally speaking it’s still ok beverage. Would like to try it fresh tho.
3.0 Looks like watered down coca-cola brown with very minimal head. Aroma is very unique like a belgian sour with lots of hops. Bitter piney hops mixed with a chocolate malty dubbel style beer. Quite odd actually. Even a tiny bit sour. Finish is mostly sappy hops and some vinegar. Well, up until now I have loved all the Struise beers Ive had, but this one is just strange. Cool that they do their own thing but in the end this just ends up being a weird hodgepodge of styles.
2.4 From cervezasespeciales. In Teku glass. After dinner. Not sure if contamined. No hops feeling nor aroma. Not much IPA. Initial and middle sip fine but some acid in the aftertaste. In some moments I thought that I got used to it and even liked its nose and other times I started disliking it again. Could repeat if sure of fressness. BB date was Aug 2017.
3.5 330 ml. bottle. Thanks Henrik. Pours a dark copper with a decent off-white head. Aroma of citrus, malt, and caramel. Taste is citrus, malt, caramel, fruit, and alcohol. Interesting.
3.5 Dark copper, hazy, with a sticky head. Smells a bit like a dubbel, caramel, malt and Belgian yeast, with an addition of vinegar. Bitter, from the hops, with a metallic taste and with notes of cane sugar, vinegar, white wine.
3.5 Biz hazy, deeper amber colored, medium beige head, good lasting. Aroma is caramel malt, ripe fruits, soury fruit, some citrus, bit yeast. Taste is medium sweet caramalt, fruity, some biscuit, some citrus, medium- bitterness, yeast. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.
3.2 Shared with benny at my home. Hazy amber colored beer with medium white head and no carbonation visible. Nice malty spiced hopped aroma. Medium sparkling palate. Finish is bitter spiced dry.
3.4 Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoljub Ljubljana. Pale amber coloured, small off-white head, sourish fruity and caramel in the nose. Sweetish malty, caramel, mild citrusy fruity and touch of alcohol with discreet hop bitterness in the finish.
Heerlijke IPA.
4.0 Bottle, 7%. Sweet and citric aroma, raisins, wood, acetic acid. Clear dark amber/brown colour. Small stable off-white head. The flavour has a teaish hop note as in some IPAs but apart from that I do not get much IPA from this beer. Nevertheless, it is a great beer. Good hoppiness and a mild, woody tartness. Well-balanced and full-bodied.
3.5 Bottle. Pours clear darkish amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, malt, fruit and pepper. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of citrus and touches of caramel malt. Acidic aftertaste with estery notes. Decent.
4.2 hazy brown colour, moderate sized yellowish head; aroma of pine resin, floral and herbal notes s well as hints of tangerine; taste is the same with some spicy notes; good IPA
3.0 33cl bottle. Pours hazy amber with a thin beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, some citrus marmalade, some sweet fruits. Taste is similar with a medium final bitterness. Some light hoppy flavors. Medium body, medium to strong carbonation. Disappointing.
4.0 Amber-copper colour, good head that leaves ring and lace. Aroma of chocolate, dried fruits, raisins, licorice, malt. Medium body, creamy palate, lively carbonation. Taste of chocolate, dried fruits, spices, malt, licorice, marzipan. It’s really good but I really can’t find any IPA character here.
4.0 Bottle, Lot 3013220514, dry-hopped with cascade. Pours hazy reddish amber, almost ruby. Smooth hoppy nose, yet not overpowered. Taste is on the fruity side, passionfruit and mango. Matching bitterness and sweetness. A well brewed beer indeed!
3.0 Drinking blind from a 33 cl bottle. In the aroma spices, sweetness, alcohol, smoke and coffee. The clear, red beer has a small brown head. The taste is wry, tones of caramel. Medium carbonated.
4.2 0.33 bottle at Cameral, Koper. Dark copper with medium lasting off white head. Belgium character in the nose, dried fruits, figs, alcohol. Sweet, dried figs cake, cherry, light dry finish. Medium body, quite drinkable. Dessert beer. Very interesting.
3.3 330ml bottle Appearance: Hazy reddish orange, with a bubbly off-white head which doesn’t really last and doesn;t leave lacing. Aroma- Quite some malts, grapefruit, tropical fruits, Taste- FImrly sweet start but it drops back fast to medium wih hint of sourness even, ome good orange and grapefruit, but some odd dark fruit tones, Quite some malts. Finish is again a hopy Fruity dry bitterness. Medium body, light creamy texture, soft caronation.
3.7 330ml bottle at home. Hazy orange color with off white head. Malty caramel and hoppy citrusy aroma. Sweet and bitter taste. Medium oily body with soft to average carbonation.
3.8 Ocre, color tierra casi opaca. Un dedo de espuma crema. Aroma especiado, escaso.
3.8 Appearance is a deep ruby red, a bubbly off-white covering which doesn’t really last. Aroma- very malty, raisiny bread, grapefruit, tropical fruits, hint of toffee. Taste- plenty of fruit- orange and grapefruit, but also some dark fruits, sultanas for instance. Firm malt presence which helps boost the mouthfeel. Short finish with a hint of cherry. Good stuff.
