Textura aceitosa. Aroma a piruleta, frutas, azúcar moreno, algo herbal.
Couleur ambre reflet acajou !
Note fruité type cerise et prune .
Malté assez intense.
Carbonnisation convenable .
3.80.33l bottle (2008) from BrewDog webshop. Rosse is a deep plum-jucie murky-as-hell beer with a small bubbly sidesticking beige head. One of the murkiest beers I’ve ever had, and yet it looks amazing! Aroma is nice and fruity-sweet, notes of brown sugar, perhaps some candy?, red apples, some faint yeast, toffee and hints of barn? Not extreme but quite nice. Average prickling carbonation, oily and slick mouthfeeling and medium-bodied. Tastes not what I had expected. There are lots of bitter and dry dark chocolate, some plums, almost ashy, it’s also light sour and mild tart with notes of lingon- and rognebær. It finishes off with some nice hints of alcohol in the somewhat watery finish and aftertaste. Interesting beer! 19.08.2011
M: Semi-volmondig, medium carbonatie.
4.0Azúcar moreno en nariz, algo de uva. Buen cuerpo, oleosa, poca espuma. En boca mucha fruta madura. Compleja. Dulce y equilibrada. Buena cerveza aunque no es mi estilo. Batch: 2014. BB 2017-09
3.4Pours a redish brown body with a medium head. Yeasty aroma with a touch of wood. Nice sour taste with a creamy feel and malty tones.
3.6Bottle, 330 ml from Beergium. Shared with Miro and JFK10000. Pours deep red, off-white head. Malty, fruity, caramel, bit yeasty. Sweet and sour combination. Medium bodied. Not bad, expected a bit more.
3.7Many thanks for this beer to JefVerstraete. Vintage 2014.
2.9Very special nose with roasted tones and some fruity notes. Taste almost smokey and also citric but very dry.
1.7From a 330ml bottle on 28/5/2016 (bottle labelled 2015). Pours a cloudy amber with a small head. Has a very slight tart aroma. Taste wise, it’s sour, salty, and generally unpleasant, with some mild, off fruitiness about the only thing presenting. Medium bodied with modest carbonation. Horrible and hard to get through.
3.3Muddy dark amber color with tan head. Aroma has caramel malt, a touch of brown sugar, belgian yeast esters but also some fruity hops. Taste is quite surprising. It starts tart with a hint of balsamic vinegar, toasted malt, a bit of caramel and earthy hops. Finishes bitter with grapefruit peel and earthy hops. Body is quite light and has a medium carbonation. It’s not a bad beer but it’s very odd. It doesn’t fit in any style of beer so it’s a bit hard to judge. Overall it’s interesting and deserves a try.
3.3Bottle bought at Geers Oostakker. Pours dark red with a medium beige head. Nutty flavours, mettalic, little bitterness, malts, slightly sour, spices, herbs,
3.12015 vintage. Ruby red with light haze, very small head that rapidly disappears leaving only a ring on the surface around the edge of the glass. Aromas of caramel malts and dried fruits and raisins. The taste is lightly acetic sour, green apples, cola, a little toasty malt, herbal hop character. Light bodied and acidic, low carbonation. This seems much more like an oud broun/flanders red style and is fairly decent when viewed as that.
3.3Bottle, 330ml. A cloudy reddish beer with a small white head. Aroma is of spices, dried fruits, mud and coffee. Taste is sour with moderate carbonation and astringency. Medium bodied with an earthy finish. Sour and well-balanced aftertaste.
3.5Bottle, 33cl. Sparkling copper with a creamy to minimal offwhite head. Sweet aromas of red apples, red fruits, caramel. It’s a sour! Deep fruity sour character into a stinging tart acidic finish. Very nice.
3.333 cl. bottle. Hazy dark amber colour with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of yeast, fruit, malt, berries, spice and sweetness.
3.5Bottle 33cl. vintage 2015 (BB 6-2018). Poured into a tulip glass. Hazy dark amber, small frothy off-white head, mostly diminishing, almost no lacing; aroma roasted malts, caramel, dried dark fruits, nutty, sourish notes; taste opens soft sweet and bitter, followed by sourness, malty, toffee, fruity, with long duration, dry sourish finish with mild sweet and bitter notes, bit woody; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; a mix of Belgian styles and surprisingly well-balanced for that matter.

3.0Bouteille:Hazy to cloudy, ruby-amber coloured, loose ’n lacy off-white head, some floaties visible; sweet caramelly nose, traces of cacao and dried fruits over a light acidity; moderate sweet-bitter flavour with a delicate sourish touch, relatively light bodied for a beer of 6.5% and a bit tart; lingering caramelly and sweet-fruity finish, some yeasty tartness in the aftertaste. Not the best brew from the Spanish Netherlands…
3.6Bottle with expiry date September 2017. Dark brown colour, minimal head with decent lacing. Aroma is caramel, a bit of herbal hops, not very fruity. Light bitterness, not sweet. Medium body, average carbonation. An interesting example of a Belgian beer that is more hoppy than fruity. Good.
3.3Een zeer lekker bier, een goede afdronk, diepe smaak. Een goede schuimkraag.
3.7Tasting at Maakuns. Thanks to Maakun. Backlog from 2015/02/03.
3.6Malty, quite dense aroma with very strong honey notes. It seems nothing special, but it’s so pleasant aroma. It’s copper color beer, a bit hazy, with rather poor head. I think it started to go bad even though it’s best before 2018. It’s already a bit sour, which I think was not intentional, but still - quite pleasant. Except that a bit of roasty toasty notes. No caramel at all, just pure malts, feels really good. It’s rather watery, I was expecting something bigger and more dense. Barely noticeable bitterness. Quite good beer in overall, but I was expecting much more.
3.0Overall: Thin, almonds, red berries.
Note: On-tap at Tritonia. (Vintage 2014) Reviewed 2015-09-26.
3.6330cc bottle. Pours amber with almost no head. Dark caramel really dominant. Also candi sugar/syrup, dried fig. Sweet but with a slightly dry and herbal finish. I missed a more intense carbonation
3.66%ABV. Belgian Ale.
The nose was had a clean sweet, lightly malty aroma, with fresh fruity aromas reminiscent of ripe lychees.
No head, and it poured out a deep tea brown of about 16ºSRM.
Thin malty palate, bright carbonation. No aroma hops. Good quality bitter hops clean and herbaceous coming in and keeping house all the way to the end and slightly beyond. I suspect without this, the Rosse would just be unbearably treacly sweet.

3.5Amber beer with a white head. Hints of caramel and fruit. Sometimes there’s a slightly metallic taste. But nonetheless a nice amber beer.
3.6Chapa dorada.
